Hello

I thought I'd start a new thread for people who have are due late Nov/ early Dec

I've self referred on the NHS website and am awaiting my booking in appointment 🙂

Sorry to hear that blondcat. Will EPU see you at any point? Take care and look after yourself x

applesauce1 · 10/04/2018 14:40

Have I booked a midwife appointment too early?
According to my last period, I'm 5+5, but I didn't ovulate until 3 weeks into my cycle, so I imagine I'm more like 4+5.
I was at the doctors today for something not related to being pregnant, and my GP told me to book a midwife appointment. I called them and they offered me an appointment for next Tuesday (I'll be 6+5 or 5+5?). Is that too early for a first midwife appointment?
What should I expect from the appointment?

Also, many of you are taking about early dating appointments and multiple appointments to check development. Have you ladies booked ultrasounds privately?

Emma198 · 10/04/2018 14:56

I had first appointment with midwife today 6+3. She gave me my pack with info and some stuff to read ready for full booking in in three weeks x

Blondcat · 10/04/2018 15:20

Thanks @el332 and @rachie1986 epu said only if pain much worse or bleeding much worse or if still bleeding in a week so just monitoring for moment

GreenGooner · 10/04/2018 15:21

Sorry @Blondcat thinking of you xxx

Rachie1986 · 10/04/2018 15:33

applesauce if there are no other complications, history, bleeding etc an early scan is only if you book privately. Otherwise just 12 weeks scan

Appointment wise did your drs ask how many weeks you are? Here you only have booking in appt at about 8 weeks, but other areas may be different from reading other posts

AnotherOriginalUsername · 10/04/2018 16:09

I was told 8-10 weeks for my first midwife appointment

AaronPurrSir · 10/04/2018 16:25

I will be worried if they re-date me at my 8 week scan next week as I am fairly certain as to when I ovulated (I used OPKs, temped, had an implantation bleed 9DPO and my first BFP at 11DPO) so if they turn around and say I’m 6 weeks or something I will panic as I don’t think that’s possible at all Sad

Emma198 · 10/04/2018 16:39

@AaronPurrSir I also got my positive at 11 DPO and told them that but they're still dead relaxed about it. I'm really nervous for my next scan on Friday x

Chattein · 10/04/2018 17:00

Anyone have ZERO symptoms?!

I'm currently 4 weeks 3 days and I have no symptoms yet! Had sore boobs for a couple weeks but they've gotten better now!

Panicking!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 10/04/2018 17:12

Chattein all I've had (6 weeks tomorrow) is a bit of bloating and some very mild passing nausea that had I not had a positive test, wouldn't have given a moment's thought to!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 10/04/2018 17:15

Do I....

A) Go to the gym and then go to fat club or
B) Stay at home and eat?

GreenGooner · 10/04/2018 17:29

@AnotherOriginalUsername

B... no question!

Chattein · 10/04/2018 18:38

@AnotherOriginalUsername that makes me feel a little better. I've also had passing nausea, in the car and a little after I've eaten but I wouldn't think twice if I didn't know I was pregnant!
I'm just anxious I think as I had an eptopic last month with no symptoms again.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 10/04/2018 19:12

Chattein my very mild nausea has been in the car and when I settle down after a meal in the evening too.

I don't know whether to be grateful or not - I have a phobia of vomiting but I'd kinda like some actual symptoms so I know things are progressing!!

Are you going to have an early scan following the ectopic?

Chattein · 10/04/2018 19:35

@AnotherOriginalUsername

Glad I'm not alone then!

Having a scan on Monday at 5 weeks 2 days which is exactly the same date that I started the bleeding with eptopic! Scary!

What's your due date?

AppleCocoon · 10/04/2018 19:43

@applesauce1 I am not in the UK so the level of care is quite different. Also, I am nearly 40 so I think my doctor is erring on the careful side. And I am not objecting!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 10/04/2018 20:19

Chattein based on LMP I'm due 5th December, I'm 6 weeks tomorrow.

Update: I went spinning (yay), went to fat club (yay), got fatter (boo)

AaronPurrSir · 11/04/2018 09:01

Well done on the spinning another! My exercise has completely gone by the wayside, I just have no energy for it. In a few weeks time I might order a pregnancy Pilates dvd.

Everything crossed but I haven’t had any spotting yet since implantation, however yesterday I had one small instance of egg white CM, like when you ovulate! Very strange! Confused

ellsharks · 11/04/2018 09:10

Welll... today I woke up and no nausea! I'm now questioning if I just had a bug! Panicked thinking my boobs didn't hurt anymore either, but reminded me they did when I ran down the stairs! Midwife booking appt tomorrow and 8-week scan Sunday... fingers crossed!

Aggiemacc · 11/04/2018 16:56

Hi, does anyone else feels sooo tired? I'm exhausted after doing anything, I've clean bathroom yesterday -tiny little house chore, and needed two hours nap! All I can do is sleep. Until I w need a wee :(
On the upside the sickness is nearly gone :)

FlowerPower25 · 11/04/2018 17:41

I've just done another pregnancy test after not really having any symptoms (currently 6+1) and being worried I'd got the first 10 wrong 2 weeks ago! 😂

Still pregnant though! 😂

AnotherOriginalUsername · 11/04/2018 17:42

I'm 6 weeks today, so naturally woke up expecting every single pregnancy symptom under the sun....

Nothing.

starlet2411 · 11/04/2018 18:01

Hi there! I am also pregnant for the first time, I am 31 this year, been married for 3 years. My due date according to what midwife said is 24/11 :) So far I am experiencing massive nausea and can not eat really :( I also have 5 cm fibroid and my BMI is very high, this is why I am going crazy and so worried about risk of miscarriage :( Any mums in similar situation?

EL332 · 11/04/2018 18:38

@Aggiemacc I'm sooooo tired.

I don't think I've ever experienced anything like it... I could barely stay awake at work and left early so I could have a nap, now I'm looking at the work I need to finish for tomorrow and I'm still just absolutely exhausted.... I'm not even 8 weeks yet... 😴😴😴
