I'm having the harmony test and scan on the 25th of April. EDD is Nov 14 at the moment. I've had virtually no symptoms - only sore/large boobs and a few weeks ago I had some slight cramping but no bleeding. Sounded like normal stretching etc. But now I'm starting to wonder if I really am pregnant! I guess I'll find out in a few weeks.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 09/04/2018 17:52

@Liz3891 I'm in the same boat! Such a long wait til a 12 week scan. My husband has vetoed an early scan and I see his point, we just can't afford it (scan cost plus travel would kit out a nursery with furniture so I see his point)

penguingirl · 09/04/2018 18:34

Hi all, another easter postive here! I am 5+3 (due dec 7) and am alternating between so happy/excited and scared. We have been ttc since beginning of last year and had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in May last year, so I'm just waiting to get through the next few days to get past that point and start feeling a bit less scared, hopefully! I did the test as I went in to town and felt like my senses were all heightened, which is what happened last time. Everything smells weird!! One real positive for me is that I have really different symptoms this time. Last time I had implantation bleeding, but hardly any pain/tenderness anywhere. This time there has been absolutely no bleeding (oh the joy of going for a pee and getting a clean tissue when you wipe!!), my boobs are on fire, I am massively bloated and constantly passing wind and I have little appetite. I've also been getting a lot of twinges and what feel like mild cramps, but nothing like what I felt with the miscarriage and doctor google confirms it is completely normal to have these at the beginning. Oops, sorry for the long post! Oh, one more thing, I'm 43 and if this little bean sticks a first time mum, eek!!

sweetiehuni · 09/04/2018 18:37

I am 26.
Currently 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant :) on my first time TTC so I was very lucky to fall pregnant straight away.
My due date is 14th December!

Emma198 · 09/04/2018 18:39

@hayleyhaystack I'm so so sorry. Thinking of you. Good luck xx

ellsharks · 09/04/2018 18:42

@AnotherOriginalUsername we found our early scan on Groupon for £40 in north London area.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 09/04/2018 18:52

@ellsharks they're coming in at between £80-£100 here with the closest about 30 miles away because we live in the arse end of nowhere. Not huge amounts but more than we can justify right now as we're still paying off the credit cards from our wedding in October

ellsharks · 09/04/2018 18:54

@AnotherOriginalUsername Yeah I don't blame you, I wasn't willing to pay £85 but £40 seemed ok haha! Only 4 weeks difference in hindsight 🤣

Rachie1986 · 09/04/2018 19:18

So sorry Hayley. Thinking of you, take the time you need. Much love xx

Mini2017 · 09/04/2018 19:25

Not pregnant nor ttc but I have 17 week old little girl. My due date being 1st Dec but born on 10th. Can't believe have time has flown! Last time this year I was about 4 weeks pregnant and couldn't believe it. I'm just her to wish everyone of you happy and healthy pregnancies.
All the best ladies.😉

GreenGooner · 09/04/2018 19:30

@HayleyHaystack so sorry to hear that. Look after yourself. Sending lots of love xxx

EL332 · 09/04/2018 20:19

@Mini2017 Congratulations and thank you for your post - that's so sweet ❤️

I still find it a bit strange that no medical professional has actually tested me for pregnancy ;). I know home tests are accurate and all, but considering there's a 12 week wait, I thought the midwife might do a test at the booking appointment just to be sure it hadn't been lost half way between finding out at 5 weeks and the scan.

Deedoll · 09/04/2018 20:52

Thinking of you @HayleyHaystack xx

ReiofHope · 09/04/2018 23:50

I had my scan today after the spotting over the Easter weekend. My nurse was very surprised that I had to wait such a long time but everything seems to be perfectly ok. No idea where the bleeding was coming from but the embryo has a heartbeat and I got to see it which was wonderful.
7 weeks 1 day.
Midwife booking appointment is on Wednesday.
I'm so sorry to hear of those who have had misfortunes this time. I hope for the best for your future

AppleCocoon · 10/04/2018 03:51

@Hayleyhaystack
I’m so, so sorry. Thinking of you.

Toriturnaface29 · 10/04/2018 09:15

@Liz3981 I feel the exact same and I think that’s why I’ve been so hesitant to tell anyone!

AppleCocoon · 10/04/2018 09:34

I had a scan today, at what I thought was 7weeks2. The sonographer thinks that it is actually 5weeks4days.

The good news is that the embryo has developed from last week - the fetal pole is clearly visible. Too early for a heartbeat.

It does make me wonder about my hcg levels (which are sky high if the new date is correct).

In light of the new dates, I feel better about the spotting I have had (perhaps implantation?).

I must started ‘feeling pregnant’ as soon as we conceived according to the new dates which .i find strange because I thought feeling pregnant before a missed period was pretty strange anyway.

New EDD is 5th December!

Emma198 · 10/04/2018 11:39

@AppleCocoon I got told at six weeks i was more like five and find it very odd, I did a test 4 days before missed period, how can I possible be a week behind?! Got another scan on Friday to see but I'm feeling very nervous x

Sabulous · 10/04/2018 12:10

I wouldn't worry about being re dated at your scan, it's really common. My due date was changed by a week with my first and we had no problems with her :)

Aridia · 10/04/2018 13:47

How's everyone doing today? I'm feeling awful. Sorry if this is TMI but I've got the most awful stomach and diarrhoea :( I'm feeling properly miserable with it. I don't know if this is normal or a bug I've caught. I just hope it doesn't hurt bean!

Windy1234 · 10/04/2018 13:55

@Aridia I have had the same bad stomach the past few days - luckily I have managed to keep it in as I am at work, but was quite concerned with it - esp not knowing if it is normal or not. I have also calmed down with the nausea so that is worrying, but I am hoping it will come back in waves. This is such a long wait until 12 weeks, and I know there are a million more milestones after that but at the same time it feels like clock watching at the moment.

I am actually surprised how much better I feel being at work than when at home, hopefully its because I am being forced to focus and not lounge around, but would rather be being sick to be honest.

Hope everyone else is getting on okay Flowers

Rachie1986 · 10/04/2018 14:06

Hi Aridia sorry to hear your suffering. I'm really struggling with dizziness today and not sure if it's pregnancy related or a bug. I've had a bit of an upset stomach too, I think that can sometimes be hormone related. How many weeks are you? I'm getting worried about the nausea and dizziness getting worse as I'm not sure I could work like toys and am struggling to look after DD x

Blondcat · 10/04/2018 14:27

Not doing too well here. Think it is all over for me. Had horrible head cold since beginning of weekend which I thought was why my symptoms had disappeared but then had brown spotting yesterday which turned red after a couple of hours. Spoke to epu and they said just to watch and see and may be because I had sex the day before so cervix was irritated. Today bleeding slightly worse and clots now got some cramps too. Am supposed to be 6+2 today.
Sorry to @HayleyHaystack too.

Love to everyone for happy healthy pregnancies.

EL332 · 10/04/2018 14:36

Oh @Blondcat I'm sorry, are you planning to visit EPU, keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏼❤️
