Hello

I thought I'd start a new thread for people who have are due late Nov/ early Dec

I'm 28 have been married nearly 2 years and we were very lucky and managed to fall pregnant first month TTC...

I've self referred on the NHS website and am awaiting my booking in appointment 🙂

Thanks ND

Who is/isn't having an early scan (private)? I didn't last time but am tempted this time though a lot of money..

EL332 · 08/04/2018 22:44

@Rachie1986 I have one booked for next Saturday 14/02 - it was a lot of money but I've been so so anxious about everything that I decided I needed some reassurance - I know it will only show how everything is on that day - and isn't any guarantees but it's the decision my husband and I have made ❤️

I’m having one in 2 weeks time, when I’ll be 8 weeks. I’ve been very anxious since finding out about the pregnancy so I really wanted to have one. I can’t wait til 12 weeks, it feels an absolute lifetime away.

snowbake · 09/04/2018 00:50

Is anyone having a NIPT? I'm booked for May 5th so I'll be in my 11th week.
I will probably end up having an early scan before then though too. I'm the paranoid type!

Lloydy85 · 09/04/2018 03:42

This is me too! Grin

I'm 32, been with my other half for over 10 years & married for 9 months. I'm about 7 weeks now & due at the end of November. Had very few symptoms until Wednesday of last week when morning/all day sickness started Confused

ND348 · 09/04/2018 06:20

@Rachie1986 I'm having one in two weeks when I will be 8 weeks. Wasn't sure but we decided we'd like to know that everything is progressing ok. Also hoping to tell my parents and gran that weekend so we can show them a pic!
Like EL332 said it only shows things are ok on the day and is no guarantee for the future but will make me feel less anxious I think (for at least an hour!)

welshintirol · 09/04/2018 06:41

Hi ladies!

Also new here, I'm 7+2 ( second pregnancy, first ended in miscarriage). Trying not to get too excited but I feel so many things happening to my body (hoping these are good things). I do have a question though.... has anyone had shortness of breath??? I woke up at 4 this morning super short of breath and then obviously started to panic about it (which hasn't helped)..... now my nausea is worse because I haven't slept well..... supposed to be my first day back at work today after a week off Hmm.... I'm in that deliberating moment of whether to call my boss or not (he knows I'm PG as I'm already super bloated and have had all day nausea for about 3 weeks)..... thoughts?!?!

I think my EDD is 23/24 November
Also having an early scan on Thursday (not requested or private that's just how they do it here in Austria)

Hope everyone is feeling ok this morning?

mollymoo0 · 09/04/2018 08:36

Hi @welshintirol I'm 6+4 and my first day back after 2 weeks off for easter.

Thank god I don't feel so nauseous so far this morning I've realised I can't have breakfast because that's triggering my sickness early. But have to have snacks on me for when the hunger strikes to stop the sickness lol it's all fun and games trying to act normal around everyone

ellsharks · 09/04/2018 09:10

@welshintirol I have shortness of breath... walking up the stairs to my flat or to my desk at work nackers me out that they're both just one flight and I am 7+2 today aswell!

The nausea for me hit on Friday, after panicking myself something was wrong. Now already wishing i enjoyed it more!! Christ, i only feel normal about 3 hours of the day! Grin - I am happy about it though!

AaronPurrSir · 09/04/2018 09:11

Welsh I’ve had the shortness of breath too. Before getting pregnant I was fairly fit but now I practically have an asthma attack walking up a few flights of stairs!

My nausea is worse after I’ve eaten rather than when I’m hungry. The food just repeats on me!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 09/04/2018 09:18

I'm glad other people are breathless walking up the stairs! I've been having the same which has been concerning me with my cardiac issues. I've been warned that my heart may not withstand pregnancy and if that happens then there'll obviously be a need for a termination. I'm low risk but in reality no one can be certain how my heart will cope.

That being said, I'm currently lycra clad and waiting for my Monday morning spin class to start Halo

ellsharks · 09/04/2018 09:52

@AaronPurrSir oh im the opposite, I feel sick until I eat then I am ok for about 20 minutes. So annoying as I've never been a big eater!!

The thought of omelettes and curries make me feel awful.
Weird, as I never eat either much haha yet my MIL mentioned omelettes the other day and I was nearly sick... pregnancy is weird but wonderful.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 09/04/2018 10:27

ellsharks I've got omelette for lunch and curry for tea Grin

Aggiemacc · 09/04/2018 10:28

Hi, can I join?
Congratulations to all you ladies!

I'm 38, first pregnancy, edd 7th November. Had some problems in the past, so had 8 weeks scan - it was a great relief to see my little blob with a heart beat :) definitely worth paying.

So far I had nearly constant sickness and fatigue and bad headaches. But the nausea is easing now, just tired all the time, need a nap at least twice a day :(

AaronPurrSir · 09/04/2018 10:29

@ellsharks it’s probably the grease - I had a really greasy dinner on Friday and felt SO sick afterwards!

Is anyone craving anything? I’m really wanting full fat coke at the moment.

ellsharks · 09/04/2018 10:50

@AnotherOriginalUsername that is a nightmare for me haha!

@Aggiemacc - Congrats! Thats my birthday 7th Grin ! I have my 8 week scan on Sunday, I feel so anxious about it (mainly in case there are twins). What can I expect to see? Does it just look like a jelly bean?

Thanks

Aggiemacc · 09/04/2018 11:05

@ellsharks at 8 weeks it really looks like a little blob, (actually 2 blobs because you can see the yolk) and it has very rapid pulse. It is really great to see :)

Aggiemacc · 09/04/2018 11:11

@AaronPurrSir I have been craving pickles: pickled gherkins, cabbage, mushrooms, fish. Also fruits, I carry apples with me everywhere. But got completely off chocolate, even smell makes me gag. I suppose the baby wants a healthy diet lol

HayleyHaystack · 09/04/2018 14:18

Sadly my first pregnancy ends today. My EDD was 18 Nov. Early private scan Saturday showed a slower than normal heartbeat. Folllw up scan at the EPU today showed heartbeat has now stopped. D&C booked for next Tues if it doesn't naturally happen this week. Work have been amazing.

Wishing you all happy healthy pregnancies, hopefully I'll get there next time

FlowerPower25 · 09/04/2018 14:33
