Day 12 for my little munchkin. She's still not quite back up to birth weight but she's feeding like a pro so no one seems overly concerned. Time is literally flying! I'm getting stronger every day and have finally started bleeding so it's all good.

Loving all these baby pics too! 💖

Hey ladies! After my false start yesterday got sent home had the best nap ever and everything completely stopped.

Roll on to half three this morning contractions coming thick and fast. Left my house for the hospital just after 6am and my beautiful little girl was born at 07:09 this morning. It was all over so quickly! Midwife didn't even get a chance to examine me as soon as I got into the birthing suite I was pushing her out 😂

She's beautiful and perfect and we are so in love!

Congratulations on your beautiful little one to @dkb15164😍

@Pumpkinma congratulations! She's beautiful! Sounds like it all went really smoothly for you!

emvy · 28/03/2018 16:59

Congratulations, Pumpkinma! That’s incredibly quick! She’s such a cutie ☺️

Can’t believe it’s been 12 days, Anna! Look at that little face 😍😂

I have my first cup of raspberry leaf tea sat cooling next to me. I’m not a massive fan of herbal teas generally so I’m sort of dreading it. Is anyone else drinking it/did drink it before they popped? A friend of mine did and her pushing stage was 25 minutes but i’m sure it’s all coincidence, as all of these things tend to be. Still, I’ll try anything!

emvy · 28/03/2018 16:59

Oh and Harry, I have my appointment tomorrow and I’m certain she’ll be telling me the same thing!

DaisyLand · 28/03/2018 17:18

I had my 38w one and they have not checked me. They’ve said it’s engaged 3/5 and last week was 4/5 so not bad. I’m not having any natural induction things. Don’t like raspberry and neither curry. Whenever he wants to come he’ll.

Congratulations pumpkinma !

Pumpkinma Can't believe how quick that was! Congratulations, she's perfect Smile

Is there anyone left on this thread who hasn't delivered yet?!

DaisyLand · 28/03/2018 19:18

@punmpkinma congratulations she is beautiful. That was super quick go you.

Loosemoose28 · 28/03/2018 21:12

Wow look at the babies congratulations.

I am not doing raspberry leaf tea (its vile). Using clary sage now, hand expressing 2-3 times (producing loads) a day and taking evening primrose oil.

Im only just 37 weeks but with all the bleeding I was so prepared for a early baby all of a sudden I feel very pregnant.

Loosemoose28 · 28/03/2018 21:16

@harryharry if I remember rightly we are a month of two halves with due dates due early April or 2nd week in and beyond, remember feeling the same with everyone getting 12 weeks scans felt I was one of the last. So I guess we will see it with our babies being born too.

Strongarms27 · 28/03/2018 21:18

It's so lovely to see all these wonderful photos!
I've been given a date for my section: 11th April, which is 2 days past my due date! I feel quite annoyed about it as I was told it would be during my 39th week to lessen the chance of me going into natural labour, but apparently all slots that week are full....
Again, these things happen and I know I'll be OK with it. I would have wanted to go to 40 weeks of possible had I not have to have a section so it's only 40+2.

Rae2017 · 28/03/2018 21:31

So exciting seeing all these babies. Congrats to all!

@strongarms I'm booked in for section on 11th too! 5 days before due date. When I went to consultant on Monday it was a busy week...only had the 11th or 13th available. Otherwise would have been week after. How do you feel about having section? Im beginning to get head round it. Just hope he doesn't want to make early appearance!

Strongarms27 · 28/03/2018 21:36

@Rae2017, I feel OK about the section now. I read up about electives, repacked my bag and rewrote my birth plan. I know how you feel about an early appearance though! I'm actually more worried about recovery but again I think research will help with that.

HarryHarry · 28/03/2018 21:39

Loosemoose28 I'm one of the early April ones (well, April 9th) but nothing is happening yet!

emvy · 28/03/2018 21:46

I’m still waiting too 😔 although also not due until 13th April and first baby so I guess I should probably calm my impatience a bit as it’s still a couple of weeks until my due date and firsts are “often late” 🙄

The raspberry leaf tea was actually surprisingly fine! It barely tasted of anything? Definitely not going to bat an eyelid getting a cup of that down me once or twice a day Smile

Fieau · 28/03/2018 21:53

I'm not due till the 21st Grin

dkb15164 · 28/03/2018 22:27

Heather tested positive for jaundice this morning so she's on phototherapy beds right now, been told to expect another 48 hours in hospital at least. She feeds good in the night and then terrible during the day. Partner got a good feed at 8:30pm but then having him leave to go home at 9 and not return until 11am is the worst part. Feel like I have my left arm chopped off when he's not there even though she feeds more. Having awful time of it, wish she had held on even for a week more and gained a bit more weight. Also so I could have rested a bit before she arrived - nothing like going into labour after a weekend studying all through the nights. Trying to rational in my head and say "you had such a relatively easy pregnancy all the way through and labour wasn't that painful and relatively quick, you got your birth plan and are much luckier than most" but I just want to be home in my own bed with baby and partner and not struggling to feed her by myself with a scary mask over half her face. Will keep persevering with feeding and phototherapy to get her home when she's ready. Probably just a mix of exhaustion and baby blues leading to pity party for myself. Was so excited to go home today as well just to regain sense of normalcy. Hopefully by the weekend at least. Going to leave baby at hospital for a bit tomorrow morning and go to coffee shop nearby as I think I have cabin fever.

Strongarms27 · 28/03/2018 22:34

@dkb15164, yes try to get out for a coffee tomorrow - you deserve cake too! I hope Heather is well enough for you guys to get home for the weekend.

Rae2017 · 28/03/2018 22:47

@strongarms yes think the recovery is worrying me a bit as I'm usually so in control of everything and I know that I'm going to have to 'let go' a bit particularly in first few days/weeks and let people do stuff for me.

@dkb yes hope that you are home by the weekend in your own home comforts and have partner there for continuous support.

AnnaMadden · 29/03/2018 02:58

@Pumpkinma congratulations! She is adorable! And that labour?...nailed or what super mumma! 💖

HarryHarry · 29/03/2018 04:58

Just had a quick look back over the three April 2018 threads - it's amazing to think that some of us have been on them since the beginning, nearly 9 months ago. I think there are currently only 34 of us on this thread. Of those remaining, what are your due dates and do you know what you're having? It would be interesting to see how many of us are early/on time/late and how many of us have boys/girls.

Me:
Age: 32
Baby: #1
Sex: Boy
Due Date: 9 April

TobleroneBoo · 29/03/2018 05:41

I'm still here, popping in and out but reading updates

Age: 28
Baby number 1
Boy
Due 12th April

Had a scan yesterday and his head was too low to measure so he is definitely in position!
