Morning all, hope you all okay.
MrsMc, how are you feeling today hun? How scary for you to be spotting, has it calmed down today? Try not to worry too much hun (I know that is almost impossible). I have bled in all of my pgs and the one I bled the most in was with DS1. Also 8 weeks was when I bled with both DSs and they were big healthy babies. If you need reassurance then seek any medical help you can get, that is what they are there for!
Welcome Harveysaunt, sounds like you are doing all the right stuff at the mo, agree with everyone who says you should push for an early scan, with my last pg I didn't get one but pushed for it this time and did. Hopefully this pg will be v v uneventful for you though!
Hi to everyone else, very at those of you nearing your due date!
Well I am 11 weeks today and can't believe I have got this far! This time last pg I was bleeding and having blood tests and stuff. Scan tomorrow and am really really nervous but a tiny bit excited too. Will be pleased to know it is still okay. My MS seems to be getting worse and it is awful in the evenings, last night when I finished work I got a whiff from the canteen and threw up - I never throw up! Also due to my awful diet at the mo (can't get much down) I have lost weight, scales say I have put on a couple of pounds but clothes are now loose on hips and legs (although tight around waist!). Anyway, that's enough moaning from me!

Firststar - ML will make such a difference. The interrupted sleep is never good, but at least you know you can have a nap in the afternoon. How long until ML starts?

MrsMJ - Think I read from s/o else that the spotting has let up. I really hope so. I had spotting with this pg at around the 6 wk mark. And even though he doesn't seem to want to come out, I'm pretty sure all is ok with him! But if it starts again, or it's making you worried, call the EPU for another scan. They're generally really supportive if you've suffered mc's in the past. Mine certainly were.

Good luck for the scan Becklespeckle. The 12wk scan is sooo cool

Firststar - is the physio helping? I thought today, I have just over 3 months until my maternity leave starts... Sigh!

Hello, please can I join you had my BFP yeterday this is my 3rd pg in 7 months 1st lost at 11+3 2nd lost at 5 weeks(both of which the doctor said were bad luck and no reason found). I feel so incredibly scared, I am happy as I really want a baby soo much but don't know how I'm going to cope with the constant worry that things will go wrong again. I have been to GP this morning and he has booked me in for an early scan at about 6 weeks(am nearly 5 weeks now). Any tips or advice would be great and really appreciated.

Congrats and Welcome Elerose.
Sorry to hear about your past m/cs, it is not easy to cope with the anxiety of this early part of pg. An early scan will help reassure you and venting on here is great, everyone is soooo supportive and know just what you are going through.

I am getting very panicky about my scan tomorrow now, I have noticed a couple of orangey/pinky spots on my pant-liner (sorry if TMI) today. My CM is fine when I wipe, is just on the liner so not convinced it is baby related. Am a bit worried but wondering if I could have a bladder infection or something? Not painfull to pee or anything but have been struggling to drink enough as all tastes like shite (even water). Fairly sure I had this with DS2 around 12 weeks but turned out bladder was fine. Trouble is orange CM was the first sign last time for me so although am not in fell panick mode, I am feeling a bit down. I really don't think I could go through all this again.

becklespeckledfrog · 07/06/2007 14:14

full panic mode even...

VictorVictoria · 07/06/2007 14:22

elerose you are in exactly the same position as me. Missed m/c in November at 8 weeks, miscarried naturaly in April at 5 weeks, now 6 weeks pregnant. It is absolute agony isn't it?

The only thing I would say about a scan at 6 weeks is that they are often inconclusiove. I have opted to wait until 8 weeks whn we would definitely see a heartbeat if all were fine

Thanks Firststar, you always make me feel better . Scan is at 10.20 tomorrow - glad its in the morning! Got my DS1s school assembly first thing and will have to leave pretty much straight from that so not too much time to fret in the morning!

ejt1764 · 07/06/2007 15:06

Just popping in to say hi!

I've got a physio appointment in half an hour - she's had a cancellation, so will be having another look at me!

I'm still throwing up all sorts of things - paracetemol amongst them, so I haven't ben able to have any pain relief - somebody suggested I ask for suppositories - so I did GP thought it was a wonderful idea - I 'took' 2 last night and had the best night's sleep I've had in absolutely ages! Apparently, I look shocking this morning - very heavy-eyed according to my mum who's come round to clean (I do pay her!)

Hello and welcome to all the new girls! Here's hoping for a long and uneventful pg for you this time around!

Now need to try and get myself moving to go to the hospital - it could take me some time ......

becklespeckle - about the orange cm - are you taking pg vitamins / folic acid? - they turned my cm a funny colour - and they turned my pee luminous yellow! Here's hoping it's one of those things ... enjoy assembly!

Now, must get moving - it's just that it hurts!

Mumpbump · 07/06/2007 15:11

Elerose - congratulations and welcome... This is my third time lucky (fingers crossed) after 2 m/c and I am now 23 weeks so I guess it proves what your and my doctor both said that it is probably just bad luck - not very comforting at the time though... I got an 8 week scan and wouldn't have opted for an earlier one for the same reasons VV mentions.

Beckle - try to stay positive. I would change your pantyliner and keep an eye on it. Might be something completely random, but if it continues, you could always hot foot it down to the EPU, rather than waiting until tomorrow I guess. Only one more sleep to go for you and hopefully you will get the reassurance you need anyway... Am keeping everything crossed that it is nothing and that the scan goes well tomorrow!

Not sure whether I'm busier at work because I'm genuinely busier or it's just the knock-on effect of having to leave earlier to pick ds up, but have loads to do so will only be able to post sporadically - ie. not do a Firststar/Beckle/MrsMc special for the time-being, but am lurking to keep an eye on what is going on with everyone... Sounds a bit stalker-ish, doesn't it!?!
