Big sighs of relief all arounf EJT...I saw your news on your other thread earlier and am so for you!

Glimmer...nice idea but the problem with it is that he is in Lincolnshire until Friday...I did ask him to leave a sample by the turkey baster, but he looked at me like I was nuts and wandered off muttering "I'll put that one down to hormones". Also our last attempt at anything like that ended up as a comedy sketch and I nearly fell off the bed before almost suffocating the poor man (TMI )......so we've been a bit reticent to try again to say the least

And I don't fancy chomping my way through seven pineapples.

And anything spicy is giving me terrible heartburn.....

Looks like its bouncing on the birthing ball or nothing!

fettleandminifettle · 30/05/2007 20:28

So pleased for you Ejt - glad all ok! Take care of yourself now.

Also pleased all well with you hotchoc!

Hope everyone else is doing well - sorry not to catch up properly - absolutely shattered tonight and feeling a bit low, for no reason other than hormones!! I'm supposed to get some work done this evening, as there is so much to do at the moment. But I can't face it, so I'm off to get some ice-cream! DH is out working tonight and won't be home til later - poor DD can't get to sleep either, as she's missing him too! We're going to be a bundle of laughs when he's away for 3 weeks in the middle of June!! At least mum is coming down to help out then though.

Anyway, take care all
xxx

Furrymummy · 31/05/2007 07:26

Morning! Hope you are all well!

EJT - you must be sooo relieved - congrats!
You too Hotchoc.

Enjoy rest of your day ladies!

Mumpbump · 31/05/2007 09:30

HELLOOO!!! Excellent news, Hotchoc!! So pleased for you. It must be a massive relief - certainly was for me at the 12 week scan.

Congrats again, EJT!

As for me, we saw a healthy (slightly unco-operative baby) kicking around - everything where it should be and healthy blood supply. Bubba was in breech position which made me a bit nervous as I had a feeling this one was in a different position just from the way my bump is in the morning, but there's plenty of time for it to turn around. Welled up a bit, but managed to hold it together in front of dh. He hasn't really got his head around the fact we're having another baby yet - he's a "project man" who is currently building our garage and constructing decking in the garden with a deadline of his 40th in August! I think seeing the baby has helped, but still reckon that he's going to wake up a couple of morning after his 40th and go "Sh*t - we're having a baby!"

Daisybump - whereabouts are you? If you do have to have a c-section, there is a trainee maternity nurse advertising on here who is based in Beckenham, SE London, is trying to get some work experience and offering half-price rates. I have made a note of her email address in case we need some help... Agree that sex, walking, hot curry and allegedly nipple stimulation are all meant to help bring on labour. I'm not sure I could cope with anyone fiddling with my nipples in pg though...

ejt1764 · 31/05/2007 10:21

Daisy - if you can get either reflexology or acupuncture, that should get you going ... thanks for looking out for me too! I would have posted on here too, but dh has been fiddling with my laptop and was about to do something really radical!

thankfully it worked, I now have a slightly faster machine (all the crud has been spring cleaned), and hopefully word and excel won't keep hanging up at inappropriate moments!

Mumpbump - Really glad your scan went well - don't worry about the babe being breech at this point - they've still got a lot of room to manouvre (how do I spell that word?)

Waves to all - am about to see if I can put ds in the ikea creche for an hour (he loves it!) Ikea is only about 10 minutes drive from our house ...

Hello all

Have just booked scan for 19th June when I will be jolly nearly 8 weeks.

The 3 weeks between now and then is going to drag somewhat I feel........

VictorVictoria · 31/05/2007 12:00

Ps pleased to hear about successful scans

I am calming down a bit although sympoms remain only slightly sore boobs and vagie indigestion.......

becklespeckledfrog · 31/05/2007 12:01

Hi all!
ScaredtoBelieve - hi and welcome, good luck for your scan tomorrow. We all understand how you feel, I have said to DH that if this one goes wrong I don't think I could go through it again. Saying that, there is every chance that it will all be good for both of us - look at all the guys on here who are much further along!
Glimmer - Ooh you must be getting excited now! What time does he arrive? Can't imagine being apart from my DH - bet it will be lovely for you to be back together!
MrsMcJnr - IKWYM about eating, I seem to be eating 5 or 6 small meals a day at the moment to help stave off the nausea! Unfortunately its all stuff that is bad for me, crisps, cereal and toast. Can't seem to manage anything fresh but the MW said not to worry as tadpole will take everything it needs regardless of what I eat at this stage! It is understandable that you are concerned about your next scan being inconclusive but there is a good chance it will be fine, mine was at 6+6 and they found a HB so fingers crossed for you yours will be fine too. You are doing everything you can to make sure you give your LO the best start you can so am sure it will be okay. I don't envy you your injections every day although I know it will all be worth it in the end!
Hotchoc - Fab news on your scan! Glad all was well.
Ejt - What a releif for you too, really glad there are no problems!
Daisy - apparently a good walk is good for encouraging baby out too - I went for one day before labour started with DS2 (although he was 9 days late so might not have been the walk...). Whether you have your C-Section or natural birth, once your baby is here I am sure it won't matter how she arrived!
Mumpbump - Glad your babe is okay! There is plenty of time for it to turn round into the right position, DS2 laid sideways until about 36 weeks! Turned by himself in the end. Your DH sounds remarkably like mine, he has buried himself in 'house' stuff at the moment - currently changing doors and skirting upstairs ready for new carpets (which have been sat rolled up behind our sofa for 6 months...), then he is building a new shed and I reckon by the beginning of December he may realise we are having a baby! He said an odd thing the other day too - he said he didn't like this first bit of pregnancy when I am not really pregnant. Strange. I assured him that I may not seem pg to him with no bump (just comedy boobs) but trust me, the nausea keeps reminding me!
Firststar - sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather hun, try and relax and hope you feel better soon. Try not worry about the cramps, is probably something else stretching to accommodate your growing baby.
Well, I am 10 weeks today! Slightly concerned as it was just after 10 weeks that I started to bleed last time but trying to stay positive. Nausea been much worse last couple of days and last night (despite being starving) I struggled with crisps and actually gagged on water - erghhh. Got my next scan date through for 8th June! Will be 11+1. Was hoping that it would be a bit later than that as my first m/c baby stopped growing at 12 1/2 weeks so I still won't feel quite safe but with the panic I have been feeling this last couple of weeks I need to see my baby again and know its okay so I'm not going to see if I can change it, doubt they would anyway. Also the MW are seeing me at 16 weeks (here they don't usually see you until 28 weeks apart from for scans) for check up and will check for HB then. Should feel some wiggles before then too - did with DS2. Also with DS2 (cos stomach muscles were shot to bits from DS1) I could feel the fundus from 12 weeks or so when I laid down so used to check once a week or so it was getting higher!
Thanks for all your advice on job too, I do have another job 2 evenings a week which I would dearly love to give up but am going to stick with just for the Maternity pay! I earn under the lower earnings limit so might be maternity allowance rather than maternity pay but will speak to HR at work in a few weeks.

becklespeckledfrog · 31/05/2007 12:04

VV - well done for getting your scan booked. It is a worrying time and I think that previous m/cs take away the joy of early pg. Try not to worry too much if you can, those 3 weeks will fly by (and drag at the same time). Just come and talk to us when you are feeling low, the support really helps me when I am panicking.

I lost my baby again...6th mc.

Mumpbump · 31/05/2007 12:20

Mumto3 - SO, SO sorry to hear your news... I cannot imagine how you are feeling at this point, but am thinking of you and hoping that you are okay...

Mumpbump · 31/05/2007 12:23

VV - well done on getting your scan booked. The time will drag, but you will get there.

Beckle - I think the sickness is a good sign. I started feeling movement around 11 1/2 weeks so hope you will feel something soon too.

EJT - didn't know IKEA had a creche - what a good idea. Do you know if that's the norm or is it just the one near you?

Glimmer - it is today that your dh arrives, isn't it?

Firststar - could they be Braxton Hicks? I didn't feel them with ds so not sure what they feel like. If they carry on for a while or get worse, I'd call your m/w or your antenatal unit and get it checked out.

becklespeckledfrog · 31/05/2007 12:24

Oh Mumto3, how awful for you - big big {{hugs}} hun. So

mumto3girls · 31/05/2007 12:29

Thanks...I'll be asking the gp today for a referral.

becklespeckledfrog · 31/05/2007 12:32

Firstar - I did consider saying I couldn't make the date but am hoping the other stuff will help reassure me. I may even have a mini-panic at 14 weeks and ask for a HB check (the lovely MW said I can go for one if I feel concerned). I know that is quite early for HB but I am quite slim and they found good HB with DS1 at 14 weeks. Also, cd be braxton hicks you are feeling, mine felt like my tummy went tight - nearer my DD my tummy wd go all hard too!
Mumpbump - hoping the nausea means its doing something important in there! One thing that is keeping me going is that my symptoms are changing week by week. Last time although I had nasty nausea for weeks and weeks (even after baby died) it was always the same.

Definitely call someone if you are feeling worried Firststar, let us know how you get on xxx

StrangeTown · 31/05/2007 13:19

Mumto3 - I am so sorry. Feel terrible for you. Nothing I can say, but really hope you get referred and get some answers.

Firststar - hope the pains go away and you feel better soon. These pregnancy issues are a nightmare, they can really spoil the whole experience.

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 31/05/2007 14:50

Mumto3girls.... so so sorry to hear of your loss. I hope that you cand get some answers to why this keeps happening and that you can find the sttrength to keep on trying.

VV...try to stay positive over the next few weeks, and we'll try to keep you sane!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 31/05/2007 14:53

Firststar....sounds like the pains I go around 33 weeks, which they put down to painful braxton hicks. I found that making sure I'd had enough water helped enormously and have been drinking about 2-3l of water a day since then.

apparently a thirsty uterus is a painful uterus!

plummymummy · 31/05/2007 14:57

Welcome to thread scaredtobelieve - hope everything goes ok for you this time I had 2 m/c last year (one in December too)so in a similar position to you.

Mumto3girls - so very sorry to hear of your m/c. I don't know how someone copes with a 6th m/c but I hope you get the support you need
