Hello ladies hope you are all well. Had quite a quiet weekend which was nice but back at work today My hospital appointment seemed to go ok today, they just took blood and measured me up for stockings so I can fly at the weekend (just down South) I hadn?t realised that I needed a letter to fly with but apparently my meds won?t fare well in the hold Have been having a bit of MS over the last few days. Haematologist said it was a good sign. Overdid things a bit yesterday cleaning my house and had such a sore back last night ? idiot! I was careful but obviously, not careful enough.

Furrymummy ? thanks for the tips hope the MS and headache are better. I have had quite a lot of MS for the last few days and have been very sleepy but otherwise, I?m fine Sorry to hear your night out didn?t go well

Firsty ? nice to have some new clothes to wear

Ejt ? thanks for the tip. Glad to hear the Physio gave you some good tips ? is there going to be any room form DH in bed with all those pillows? Re pelvic floor ? just shows that you can have too much of a good thing doesn?t it? Hope the pain?s not too bad at the mo. Just read about your awful weekend how awful about the bleed, how terrifying! I really hope you are ok and I bet Weds can?t come soon enough. I?ll be thinking of you. Take really good care x

How are those pains HotChoc?

Hello Fettleandbluemini hello Plummymummy!

KB75 fabulous news about the scan, congratulations!! I know exactly how you were feeling; I have been there before and am there now, I had a scan last week to make sure it wasn?t ectopic (5-6 weeks) but have to go back next week for a viability scan. Hope you can relax a little more now!

Daisy ? thinking of you!

AxMxy ? sorry, I have no experience but I just wanted to say I?m sorry and that I hope things get better very soon.

Helo Jenswish congratulations! and welcome you and I have met before! how are you feeling? It is scary, when you want something so much and there isn?t much you can do to make sure it?s secure, it?s really scary. I?m a week behind you. Talk anytime

Jenswish · 28/05/2007 19:32

Thanx for the warm welcomes. I'm feeling abit better today, although had pancakes and milkshake for dinner and that really didn't agree with me!! haha.

Woooozle100 · 28/05/2007 20:53

Hello everyone. Just scanned the posts - need to read properly. Ejt - sorry to hear about the bleed - how frightening for you. I agree with being signed off, all things considered. Wishing you all the best

Going to catch up now

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 28/05/2007 21:42

hi again Jenswish....hope things are looking a bit more positive for you today . I know its really difficult, but try to keep positive, and the ladies on here will do their level best to help you through these next anxious weeks.

Nothing doing with me at all today.....think LO was just teasing!!

VictorVictoria · 29/05/2007 08:41

Morning all

paranoid post coming up

Am 5 weeks now, and noroks do not hurt at all today. In fact feel fuine having felt exhausted all weekend. Tell me that symptoms do come and go at this stage please.........?????

MrsMcJnr · 29/05/2007 09:34

Hey ladies VictorVictoria, I really do think they come and go. Try not to worry - so much easier said than done!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 29/05/2007 09:34

Hi VV....firstly congratulations on your BFP...

...secondly try not to worry too much, symptoms do come and go and aren't the same for everyone. With my first pg, my boobs were achingly sore pretty much the whole way through....this time around the tenderness came and went a bit and then disappeared at about 10-12 weeks.

Is this your first or have you had previous kids/MCs?

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 29/05/2007 09:35

Hi MrsMcJr...how are you doing?

VictorVictoria · 29/05/2007 09:35

Its just so hard to stay sane. I did another test this morning and the line came up immediately very dark, so there is clearly quite a lot of HCG coursing around. am just utterly paranoid.......

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 29/05/2007 09:37

Try and relax VV, easier said than done, I know, but I'm sure everything is fine......

Can you get an early appointment to see your doc? to try and put your mnd at rest?

VictorVictoria · 29/05/2007 09:40

I have one DS 23 months but have had 2 miscarriages in the last 6 months so am pretty paranoid. With DS I felt ghastly almost from the moment I got the BFP at 4 weeks exactly. Although TBHcan't remember whether I had good days and bad days. suspect I did.......

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 29/05/2007 10:08

VV...I had 2 MCs six months apart before this PG and was very paranpoid in the early days, but my wonderful DH as well as the support from this thread got me through it, in spite of an early bleed. It is hard though and I think trying to think positively can help enormously. There are no right and wrong ways to feel though...with my first MC I felt awful and just put it down to bad MS.....with the second, other than slightly tender boobs I had no other symptoms. I also didn't have any nausea with my DS, but this time around felt sick right up to beyond 20 weeks. So, they are all different.

hope you can relax a bit, but feel free to rant/worry/vent on here. We've all been through it

Glimmer · 29/05/2007 10:14

Good morning everybody.

Ejt -- so sorry to hear about your bleeding. It must be scary, but the fact that you feel the baby wiggling around must be reassuring?! Now this might sound silly, but could you bring a walking cane to school? If you use it in the corridor it would be quite a good projection for your bump (just a little safety distance).
Works for dogs :-) -- no explicit compatison intended...

KB75 -- so glad to hear about the positive results of your last scan!

AxMxy the only way to be sure is to get an internal scan. I had an incomplete ERPC but no bleeding whatsoever (the material calcified insteda) so it was quite a different situation. The negative test is very reassuing, though. Like fettle I wasted 12 weeks of TTC trying to self-diagnose. You should get your period between weeks 4-6 after ERPC, if you don't go back to your GP!

Hotchoc -- how are your pains? I am getting a stabbing feeling quite often (don't wake up though, so probably not as bad). Hoped for a while it was the baby moving because it was in the same location, but think now it's just some of the organs reorganising. Hope you don't worry too much.

Glimmer · 29/05/2007 10:15

Jenswih -- congrats and welcome!

Mumpbump · 29/05/2007 10:28

Morning all! Really quickly as I have got a shedload of emails to plough through...

Ejt - sorry to hear about your scare, but pleased to hear that the lo is okay. I am also counting down to the 24 week mark on the basis that if the worst happens, the baby has a chance of survival. I'm not being pessimistic, I think it's just another milestone to get to...

Daisy - sounds like something is happening - make sure your dh lets us know when the baby arrives, even if you can't! So exciting!

AxMxy - sorry for your loss, but both my m/c were complete so no experience of ERPC. I think what the others have said about pain, offensive discharge, etc sounds sensible. I think I remember someone bleeding for about 6 weeks after a m/c so it's not an unusually long period yet...

MrsMcJnr - sorry that you had to be in work yesterday, but with the weather we had, you didn't miss much! I had to entertain a very active 16 month old who wanted nothing more than to go outside! He got a new toy and I was exhausted and insisted that dh took him for his bath at 18:30 - joys in store for you!

VV - I have had no pg symptoms to speak of with this one, but all is well at 22 weeks. Try to keep calm - very difficult, I know!! - and just take one day at a time. Before you know it, you will be at 12 weeks and starting to relax.

KB - congratulations on your scan. Risk of m/c reduces significantly once they have picked up a hb so fingers crossed all will be okay!

Hi to everyone else - will pop back later if I can...

MrsMcJnr · 29/05/2007 10:28

Daisy?s right VV ? every pregnancy is different. This is my 3rd first trimester and they have all been different! I have to say, though not sick, I felt lousy last time and thought it was part and parcel (awful migraines etc) but now I think it was maybe a sign that things weren?t quite right. The worry and stress will not be doing you any good though hon, you do need to just trust and have faith, that?s all you can do at this stage, just take each day as it comes and try to keep yourself sane. We all know how you feel what stage were your MCs at? It helps to get past those stages I know.

I?m good thanks Daisy ? had my bloods taken yesterday to test my haem, iron and clexane levels and they seemed happy enough with how I presented though the results will take a week. They did say that I had to take great care not to just accept that I was tired and keep plodding on and that I really needed to listen to how my body felt ? if only DH had been in the room with me at that point. He waited outside! I have to say, he is incredibly supportive on the medical front, he comes to every appointment with me

Hey Glimmer how are things with you?

Ejt ? I had a dream about your situation last night, I was in a classroom with a bunch of little brats trying to push me over, it was scary. How are you feeling today? Thinking of you

Mumpbump · 29/05/2007 10:31

X-posts!

Glimmer - how are you doing? Have you decided whether to go private or not? When are you expecting to move into your new place?

Jenswish - sorry - welcome and congratulations on your bfp! I found this thread (and all the lovely ladies on it!) invaluable in getting through the early weeks. I hope you find it as supportive!

MrsMcJnr · 29/05/2007 10:54

Hey Mumpbump

Glimmer · 29/05/2007 11:10

I am doing much better. Thanks so much for being there for me last week.

DH comes on Thursday! Our household got packed on the weekend and makes its way to a ship at the moment. We hope to move into the rental house on Jun 7, but there were some burocratic difficulties (had to threaten with law suit before things got hopefully sorted out). Our situation is just so unusual (with me not having an British contract and DP not having one at all), that DP didn't pass the referencing process and they wanted to let the house to me but not DH. If things fall through we can stay with friends though, and my appartemtns is already re-let so I definitely have to move out and am busy packing...

It was very good to hear HB although it took ages to find it!

I am a little more relaxed about friend's baby. It still hurts that she has one and I do not and I am still upset that she doesn't accept that I am not over losing my first one and am worried about the current one, but I just have to let go.

I have not made up my decision about hospitals yet. Will wait for DH to come here and discuss variosu options. I am on consultant-let care right now, but the MW will refer me to the one I have seen privately and have a high opinion of. I guess I can 'opt out' and go provate at any point, so there is no hurry.

MrsMcJnr · 29/05/2007 11:48

Sounds like there is a lot going on with you Glimmer I hope you are taking some time to relax!

Uki · 29/05/2007 12:38

Hi All

had a quick catch up
Etj- What a shock hun, hope the rest of the preganacy now stays uneventful, look after you and bub.

Glimmer- Take it easy too, just leave it all up to others and chill out. You will get your beautiful baby soon, and will forget the waiting/anxious part soon.

Mrs Mc - great news with tests, and the m/s sounds encouraging

VV -welcome to the overanalyzing every symptom every 10 minutes club!!!! though it does get better past the 12 week mark honest

Had Ob appointment today- Not great news blood glucose high so another test for me and BP now going up too. I feel a bit un cut out for pg to be honest, can't just be normal can I???

Anyway don't have time to think about it , I have a big job comming up, So I will be off running a conference next week. It will be a 16 hour day thing for 4 days!!!!!
I will try and take it as easy as possible, but I will be busy for sure, should be fun having international visitors though.

In short I won't be around for a while so, look after yourselves and hope we can all put our feet up together soon

MrsMcJnr · 29/05/2007 12:44

Uki, sorry to hear that about your blood glucose levels and BP please take care

Glimmer · 29/05/2007 15:21

Hi Uki. Sorry to hear about your elevated glucose levels. Is that related to diabates and/or pre-clampsia? I think of you as very pregnant but forgot how many weeks you are.
But in any case baby should be okay to come if it had to? Take care of yourself during these busy conference weeks (I always wonder if I know you from some of the internation conferences I go to, but was never in Australia, so not likely,,,) Thinking of you...

VictorVictoria · 29/05/2007 15:26

Mrs McJnr

My second miscarriage was at 5 weeks and TBH only had weak lines throughout so it was really just "one of those things". I am past that stage already. The first one was missed - all looked fine at a 6 week scan but baby dies at about 7 weeks and then found out at 8 weeks.

My real problme is that I do have one DS 23 months and I started feeling absolutely awful when I was pregnant with him at about 4.5 weeks. So am really using that as the benchmark which I know is silly as all pregnancies are different.

I am going to have a scan at 8 weeks so we can conclusively see if it is viable or not. Can't bear the uncertainty of the inconclusiove scan at 6 weeks......
