I am so glad that people have been able to totter over here to find the new thread, clutching sick buckets or otherwise.
Anitidae I am really dismayed that they left you without a drink for 12 hours! What were they thinking of,even given the NHS crises that's not good enough.
LostMyBaubles They usually start with cyclizine but it often isn't strong enough There are stronger safe meds. An anti acid can make a big difference. What liquids help you? is this your first Hyperemesis pregnancy? If so, what do you think of full sugar flat coke, the juice of tinned fruit - and the fruit, especially peaches, ice lollies and sips of, Lucoazade, Elderflower Water, soda water, ice cubes, lemonade, fizzy orange, chocolate milkshake (maybe soya) Dr Pepper, or some swear by orange juice though some find it too acid. Also, people have found slices of mango and melon, cuppa soup (that was a great discovery by Blondeshavemorefun) nibbles of chips and crisps, and cheap ice cream. Have you got kesostix to check for the early stages of dehydration?
bitzy I am glad you have been admitted and I do hope now they manage to find a combination of meds that work. I am really sorry about the lack of sympathy you have had from GP's,and that your mother isn't good at showing sympathy. Glad she's helping you practically.
nails It may be normal to have sickness with a twin pregnancy, but not the point where you are wholly incapacitated. Have you got kesostix to check your ketones? I am glad Dr Pepper is helping, but at this rate you will end up having to be admitted for fluids. It might be worth phoning Pregnancy Sickness Support 0n 024 7638 2020 for advice on obtaining meds when doctors are refusing to prescribe . They will ring you back with great advice. The good thing is that the women expecting twins on here made far earlier recoveries than average.
I am so glad that Natsku has her baby now and about her brother's good news - but sorry about the blood loss.
justtheonethen waves.I hope you are doing OK?
Shehz I had the fabulous Pink Castle redecorated specially for Natsku and you should be impressed when you cross the drawbridge.
,Re the remarks of you and Anitidae I am a vintage 1980's feminist, and suffering this scourge is enough to make one feel fanatical because it is so often dismissed as Women Making a Big Fuss About A Little Bit of Nausea.
Mustang I am sorry that the scars remain. Sadly,I think it is typical. As you say, with LO's you dont' have time to brood, but I think PTSD from it is very common, just not diagnosed. I once burst into tears in the street about how dismissively I'd been treated, when my daughter was two!
Endorra That sounds horrible enough. Remind me what meds you are on? I seem to remember you were on a number and anti acid wasn't helping.
Emu Happy news about ML and no nausea. No doubt the resting helps.
I hope Didn't and Elephant and everyone finds us.
Apologies if I've overlooked anyone. The blasted library is closed tomorrow, but by a miracle, that PC man may yet have done it by tomorrow afternoon. He keeps phoning and saying he's detected another fault. But he doesn't seem to be a cowboy; he's come with recommendations.
