Ktn I'm with you ... iam 6.1 and used to weigh 22 stone .... I lost 8 stone but when I'm pregnant I always put loads bck on ... the way you have been treated justified a complaint regarding her professionalism and I would think about it ? Working with vulnerable groups .. and we are as such demands a certain ethical tone .. I'd complain.. don't be down about your weight ... the moment I got pregnant I started gaining I've put two stone on nearly since Christmas!!! Thinking to go to slimming world as my morning sickness is wearing off ... I just have to eat what I want or I would throw up ...

lookingforaline18 · 25/02/2018 09:33

I'm 10+1 and time is dragging while I wait for my 12 week scan! It's on the 16th March which is just under 3 weeks 😩 3 weeks of worrying.

Fruitcocktail6 · 25/02/2018 10:24

Is anyone else ravenously hungry? I'm 9+5 and spent the whole day eating yesterday, then was up at 5 for cereal, then again at 7 for toast, now eating tinned peaches in bed. If I don't eat the moment I feel hungry I come over all woozy and sick. Don't know how'll I manage this at work.

Ktn35 · 25/02/2018 10:49

Thanks people. I feel a bit more positive today. I've actually lost 5 lbs since Christmas so I'm not piling it on now. I'm sticking to a 2000cal diet using Nutracheck App (amazing!) and I'm going to try some new exercises as I just don't want to run at the moment. Started swimming and going to do Pilates I think. Be nice just to tone up a bit if I can't lose weight!

I have been starving too ... eating breakfast at 4:30, 6:30, 8:30! Just trying to eat slow releasing foods!

greeny506 · 25/02/2018 11:00

Hi all - 9+2 here. Just woke up this morning (after two breakfasts obviously!) and went to the toilet. When I wiped I had very small
Amount of brown (really tiny and only when I wiped) on the toilet paper. It wasn't a clot or anything like that but just tinged brown (sorry TMI) now feeling a little crampy. I think it's probably just stretching pain etc but any advice? Have put a pad in to monitor and planning to have a lazy day anyway... thanks!

Ktn35 · 25/02/2018 11:11

I have had that twice and all is fine. Apparently just old blood. Go to docs if it continues though, just to check :) x

greeny506 · 25/02/2018 11:12

@Ktn35 thank you!!! Yeah I know it's quite common (I'm a doctor for my sins!) but first pregnancy and can't talk to any other of my doctor friends yet so I get worried!

Ktn35 · 25/02/2018 11:13

You shouldn't have told us you were a doctor! There will be no end of questions now!

Ktn35 · 25/02/2018 11:14

I'm 9+1 so we are pretty close! Just wishing away the next 3 weeks!

cakeanytype · 25/02/2018 12:30

😂😂😂😂😂😂 oh dear feel sorry for you now doc .... I've had brown discharge for two weeks and had two scans and I am ok ... it's just the constant worry of wiping 😢

npn1989 · 25/02/2018 13:12

Hi ladies. Congratulations to you all on your pregnancies! I'm actually writing for a friend who does not have mumsnet. Are any of you aware of a secret Facebook group for Sept babies? I am on one for May babies and it has been amazing support (and a bit easier to use than this site), so wondered if there is on that she could join. Thanks in advance :-)

TheBlindspot · 25/02/2018 13:24

@npn1989 I believe the general consensus was that we were going to wait to set on up until we'd got past the 12 weeks stage. I could be wrong though. I was on one when I had my DD (still on it actually!) and it was/is great.

npn1989 · 25/02/2018 13:30

@theblindspot ahh yes ok. Ours was set up quite early but set as private as possible so no one you're friends with knew about it :-) no worries, thanks for letting me know!

niclw · 25/02/2018 15:44

Any suggestions? My friend is being very pushy and trying to get me to agree to do race for life in July. Last year we did it as a group and made a day of it. I've told her that I won't be doing it this year but I'll come and support and look after her son but she just won't accept this. I've told her I'll explain why when I see her but still she is being pushy. I'll be 7 months on the race for life day and I'm not particularly fit anyway. My scan isn't for another two weeks (I'll be 13 weeks then) and I don't want to say anything about my pregnancy any sooner. I know she will understand once she knows as she has two children but the only thing I can think of doing now is to ignore her texts.

TheBlindspot · 25/02/2018 16:45

@niclw I'd say 'no, i don't want to thanks, so please stop asking me'. But I'm blunt like that! Grin

Marriageoftrueminds · 25/02/2018 16:54

Yes I’d be inclined to tell her you have something scheduled for around that time that’s means you can’t possibly do it, and you will fill her in nearer the time. If she keeps bugging you (which I think most polite people wouldn’t?!) just politely and firmly repeat that your schedule won’t permit it!

TheBlindspot · 25/02/2018 17:06

RE The secret Facebook group mentioned earlier. I've just posted this on the other September babies thread:

Someone on the other thread mentioned setting up a secret Facebook group - I replied saying PPs wanted to wait until around 12 weeks. But I've just realised that some of us are now at/over 12 weeks! So I've set one up. You won't be able to search for it, because it's secret but it's called Babies Due September 2018. It's completely secret, so no one on your friends list will even know you're a member let alone see any posts. I was in one with my DD (I'm still in it) and it was an invaluable source of help and support. If you want to join, PM me and I'll send you my name (there's only one of me on FB!) so you can add me on Facebook. Once you've added me I can add you to the group and I'll unfriend you after that - don't be offended! If people then want to friend each other they can do so themselves.

TheBlindspot · 25/02/2018 17:07

@npn1989 I've set one up.

npn1989 · 25/02/2018 18:46

@TheBlindspot thanks for doing That! I have messaged you. For anyone else thinking of joining it, I find mine SO useful, and you'll find there will be less of you on there than the generic public facebook groups so it's a lot more personal :) x

bitzy12 · 25/02/2018 18:55

I'll add to the fb group providing all is well with my 12 week scan tomorrow. I've hardly commented on this thread but defo up for the fb one

Ktn35 · 25/02/2018 18:58

Can I PM you from the app? Can't work out how?!

TheBlindspot · 25/02/2018 19:04

I don't think you can @Ktn35 I'm having to use web based MN to receive and reply to messages. If you log into MN on your browser you can send a pm

Cb90 · 25/02/2018 19:57

Hi all I’ve just created an account on mums net. I will be 11 weeks tomorrow and still waiting for my date for the 12 week scan! Getting very nervous now! Did anyone else have to wait ages for a date?

Ktn35 · 25/02/2018 21:39

Hey,
I'd phone and harass them ...

niclw · 25/02/2018 23:05

Had a bit of a scare tonight. Had bad cramps and was bleeding. Phoned 24 hour maternity line and got no answer. Went to a&e and eventually ended up in epu. Junior doctor said I'd have to return for a scan in 3 days but am thankful that registrar overruled her and gave me a scan. Baby all happy, heart beating, legs kicking and registrar saw a wave. I missed that though x
