Rainshowers · 30/01/2018 11:05

Congratulations!! Hope all went well.

Anna2006 · 30/01/2018 12:02

@grimmfebruary congratulations! Any details and name yet. Did you know it was a little boy beforehand?

BluePheasant · 30/01/2018 12:21

Congratulations Grimmfebuary hope it all
went well Smile

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 30/01/2018 12:26

Aww congratulations!

Grimmfebruary · 30/01/2018 15:32

6 pound 3, Jesse, yes we knew he was a boy before his arrival :) doing well! Just looking a bit lost in all his clothes as we were expecting a 7 pounder haha!

Changedmynameo · 30/01/2018 16:23

Can I join on in the moaning??
Sorry to turn up out of the blue and be so miserable but.. I am
36+5 was up pretty much all night with cramps and back pain. Then got up at around 7 and added diarrhoea to the list, then the cramps eased off a bit and the nausea appeared.. now I'm done to a back ache and just generally feeling like shit!
Part of me wants him out but the other is putting it off. I had a cry this morning thinking it was happening and the thought of having to leave DD to go to hospital broke my heart!

BluePheasant · 30/01/2018 19:30

I think I’d have a good cry too changed. The last few weeks are a bit of a rollercoaster, so many emotions going on at the same time.

Baby has gone down really low today, my back and pelvis are feeling it! I’ve found a hot water bottle behind my back a relief in the evenings when it’s bad. In fact about to retreat upstairs with one now Grin

Anna2006 · 30/01/2018 19:32

@grimmfebruary aww he sounds perfect. Wee little thing. I think we will end up with a 6lber unless I go massively over due and was worried the clothes would drown it as I got everything into upto one month size so upto 10lb baby lol. Have you put him in newborn 7.5lb clothes? If you have an there still too big I’m screwed haha!

Mrstobe90 · 30/01/2018 19:49

Congratulations @Grimmfebruary!!

Welcome @Changedmynameo!

I'm having a shitty day.
Was in so much pain with back ache and contractions this morning that I thought it might be labour. It wasn't and I just feel unwell now.

Changedmynameo · 30/01/2018 19:49

Putting DD to bed now and then MUST SHOWER. WILL NOT BE DISTRACTED BY SOFA OR KETTLE ON THE WAY!
I've learnt my lesson with baths, I relax too much and can't bring myself to get out!

Changedmynameo · 30/01/2018 19:49

mrs sounds the same as me!

laelti · 30/01/2018 20:01

Congrats grimm

Wow didn't realise there was so much raspberry leaf tea division haha! To be fair I haven't opened the pure stuff yet, the one I've got I think may have some other fruity stuff in...
Today (39+3 now) I've properly started getting all the "any signs?" yet messages and getting annoyed. Nope. No signs, still digging his feet in my sides quite happily. My mum never went further than 38 weeks with either of her babies so is struggling to understand why mine is seemingly so stubborn!

faitheloise · 30/01/2018 20:08

Its my due date todayyyyy!!!!! But no sign as yet 🙄 i was told last week he weighed an estimate of 8lb3oz so want him out asap before he gets much bigger!🙈

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 30/01/2018 20:19

Ha ha Anna, I've got the exact opposite problem. My friend bought me a load of baby clothes that go up to 7.5lbs. There's no way she will weigh that little, as DS weighed 9lbs (despite being taken out early!) and he was the smallest baby we've had in our family for three generations Grin. I feel soooooo guilty as it was so kind of her to buy the baby presents.

Laelti - I hope you keep enjoying the raspberry leaf tea! At the very least it won't do any harm Smile.

Grrr...I am totally shattered. It sounds like you're all the same. Two weeks to go and it feels like a lifetime! I'm sorry everyone else is struggling too x

AHungryMum · 30/01/2018 22:08

@Mrstobe90 sorry to hear you've had insensitive comments. I think people sometimes forget to qualify what they are saying. When someone says "you are huge", and really they mean your bump is huge, they might feel like it's obvious that because the rest of you hasn't changed that much that they were just referring to the bump, but I think we can all agree it would be much better if they just went with "wow your bump is huge" rather than "you're huge"!

AHungryMum · 30/01/2018 22:10

Ps congratulations @grimmfebruary and good luck to @faitheloise! 😘

AHungryMum · 30/01/2018 22:15

PS as for me, 37+5, pretty tired and not sleeping brilliantly, get achey if I spend too long on my feet or in certain positions but otherwise pretty comfortable! Finished work now which definitely helps as at least I can nap in the day time if I've had a rubbish nights sleep. My bump is almost comically large. Can't wait to meet my little girl but at the same time quite enjoying having a bit of downtime first to build up my strength before she arrives....quite happy that I'm now medically classed as "full term" and so any time she does arrive now is okay!

Mrstobe90 · 30/01/2018 22:55

@AHungryMum my main issue was that my mum kept referring to me as 'a beached whale' and people have commented on how I've put weight on my face and it looks fat. People suck lol.

@laelti I'm drinking raspberry leaf tea daily and I'm only just getting used to it. Can only drink it iced though.

Anna2006 · 31/01/2018 09:21

coffeeandcupcakes oh no lol hate to think of stuff going to waste. Least mine can wear what I have an grow into it, it may just drown it to begin with but I guess that’s the better option!

Mrstobe90 I feel like my face has got fatter (even though no one has said it had but people must notice 😩😩) Am very ready for this heavy weight and bump to be gone now and babes to be here.

Had them period type pains in the night again which woke me up an disappeared again. But nothing happens in the daytime? Is anyone else having this? What is it doing?!

charley39 · 31/01/2018 09:27

I had period pains and bad backache yesterday evening but nothing this morning again. I have also noticed that my face has become puffy around my eyes so think it will be worth a phone call to the midwife. Just want it to hurry up now.

Rainshowers · 31/01/2018 12:03

I really like raspberry leaf tea!

Tried sex last night, that didn't work! I'm so worried how big this baby will be! I had a scan at 36 weeks which put her at 6lb 11oz...given that they pack the weight on over the last few weeks I think she'll be a 9lber...my first was only 7lb Confused i known its only an estimate and they can be pretty out but I just want her out now as the longer she stays in the more anxious I'm getting!

Mrstobe90 · 31/01/2018 13:23

@Anna2006 yeh I get them in the morning and night but not in the day. No clue why lol

@Rainshowers I had a 37 week scan the other day and baba was weighing 7lbs 1oz. I'm also scared that I'll have a giant baby lol

TLH0307 · 31/01/2018 15:40

37+6 and trying to start eviction proceedings with spicy food, dog walks and ball bouncing!! Feeling like crap. Everything aches. Come on, little one!

AHungryMum · 31/01/2018 16:27

Might be an unpopular opinion here, but is anyone else actually going to quite miss their bump?!

I've kind of got used to it now! I love feeling her moving about (I appreciate that baby cuddles probably will beat baby kicks, but it's still nice).

Besides, I kind of like how it looks and living in denial about how much of it is baby and how much is cake My husband thinks I look great. People keep complimenting me on my bump - it's variously been called "cute" and "nice and neat and round" (some of my in laws the other day even said I don't look pregnant from behind, which was lovely!) I haven't really put that much on elsewhere, obviously there is some but I'm mostly just same old me but with a big bump. Once she's out though, and I see how much belly is still left afterwards, I suspect my bubble may burst! 🙈🙊

cheshiremama89 · 31/01/2018 16:32

Just had second sweep, started bleeding immediately- anyone else experienced this?

MW didn't think it was in a favourable position xx
