bluechameleon I feel the same! DD is usually only at pre-school for the morning on a Monday but I've had a horrible sore throat and cold today so I emailed and asked if she could stay all day tomorrow! She hates that she doesn't stay for lunch on a Monday so she's seeing it as treat! I feel a bit bad but I don't feel like I can entertain her at the moment so she'll be better off there!

Emcharlierush · 28/01/2018 19:37

Naomilj I have literally tried everything, I’m on two cups of raspberry leaf tea a day, I’ve been on the birthing ball, walked literally as far as I can manage with the dog, spicy food, Pineapple, hanky panky!! The list goes on! I’m seeing the midwife tomorrow so I’ll see what she says. I don’t ever remember feeling this desperate with DD1....

Naomilj · 28/01/2018 20:31

Oh gosh Emcharlierush! Fingers crossed for you

Kpo58 · 28/01/2018 20:43

I have an ELCS on the 6th. Naturally being the kind of person I am, I'm starting maternity leave on the 1st...

They want me to go (and stay) in for steroids from the 4th. I'm hoping to catch up with some sleep then as I'm not getting much at home with working part time and a toddler.

faitheloise · 28/01/2018 20:54

My baby is due in 2 days. I see midwife in the morning. Every night i feel him so low in my vagina it feels like his head will pop out!

BluePheasant · 29/01/2018 13:36

The joys of pregnancy insomnia returned last night. Feeling shattered today and no motivation to do anything. There was me thinking I’d get all these things done while waiting for DC2 to arrive!

Lou1324 · 29/01/2018 15:08

Feeling the same today, I must have gone to the loo 5 times in the night... Not to mention taking DD to the loo aswell (she has just started to be dry in the night but occasionally wakes to use the potty). I am fed up! 38wks today.

ScurfyTwiglet · 29/01/2018 15:45

I'm 37+4 and just sick of being lethargic. In fact, I can't imagine having energy again or remember what it was like to feel motivated! I just want to curl up, eat crumpets and sleep. Also snoring like a jackhammer, so much that I'm waking myself up 3-4 times a night.

That "nesting" thing seems to have passed me by, too. Cleaning? Sod that.

AnxiteyForever · 29/01/2018 15:53

I had pretty bad insomnia last night but somehow managed a 2 hour nap whilst DS was at school.
38+2 today and feeing rather refreshed Grin

BluePheasant · 29/01/2018 17:39

I wondered whether to give having a nap a go but generally naps always seem to make me feel worse Confused The whole “sleep when baby sleeps” never seemed to work for me 😩

Lou1324 · 29/01/2018 18:25

The thing with naps is they make the day easier but then makes the night insomnia worse. I keep eating and eating tho, I'm worried I'll have a 10lb baby at this rate. On the bright side, finally decided on names yesterday Grin

Emu31 · 29/01/2018 18:35

Hi all, can I join? I'm 36+4 with my first and feeling on the one hand like I can't wait for him to come out because I'm so fed up of being pregnant and feeling awful, but on the other hand like I'm not ready and just want him to stay put! I've had a really tough pregnancy as had hyperemesis and still feeling sick a lot, though thankfully not actually being sick any more. Just feeling very emotional and sorry for myself! Sorry for the moan but it's good to get it off my chest.

inappropriateraspberry · 29/01/2018 19:21

Just to say I had my scan today and baby is head down! Smile Hoping it stays there now, only 4 weeks to go!!

Anna2006 · 29/01/2018 20:06

Oh yay that’s good @inappropriaterasperry

39+1 today and I’m SO impatient girls. Really was hoping it would show up a few days early 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Feel massive and I’m bored at home now after my 3rd week off.

COME ON BABIES!

BluePheasant · 29/01/2018 21:19

Good news, well done babyraspberry Grin

Emu I feel just like you, pregnancy has been a long hard slog with various issues, hyperemesis being one of them. Absolutely grim. I’m so looking forward to getting it over and done with but also want a bit more time to get organised! I don’t think we are ever 100% ready though are we?

Mrstobe90 · 29/01/2018 23:28

Night insomnia is the worst! I had a 3 hour nap today so I reckon I'll be up all night again! 37+2 today and baby is head down, 2/5 engaged and weighing 7lbs 1oz so far. Midwife thinks it's very unlikely she'll arrive after late. I'm not so sure...

laelti · 29/01/2018 23:42

I keep going between "I'm not ready!" and "Ahh I want to meet my baby and be able to get comfortable and not waddle anymore".

I've discovered I quite like raspberry leaf tea though, even if it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Dixeychick · 29/01/2018 23:48

37+2 now & so fed up. Just had blazing row with DH who's had a cold / man flu for the last 3 weeks & seems to think I'm not giving him enough sympathy. Whilst he's going to bed at 4.30pm to rest up. Whilst I run around after our 3yo. Whilst baby's skull is lodged in my pelvis & I can barely walk. You can imagine the reaction he got can't you.....

Lou1324 · 30/01/2018 09:03

I can imagine dixey men are completely clueless Angry

laelti I'm on 2 cups of raspberry leaf tea a day! Seems to be doing absolutely nothing but I agree, is nicer than I thought it would be!

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 30/01/2018 09:14

Dixey - that's ridiculous! What a total man child Grin.

Laelti - OMG you're crazy. Raspberry leaf tea is the worst! I drank so much of the stuff at the end of my last pregnancy and it did bugger all, so I'm not touching it now Grin.

How do people know how much their baby weighs already? Have you been given scans or something? I've booked a private scan for this Sunday (to check placenta, fluid etc) and hope to find out her weight. Even though she's coming out early I doubt she'll be much under 9lbs!

I'm sooooo exhausted right now from the pregnancy insomnia. Gahhhhh...

BluePheasant · 30/01/2018 09:15

School run is definitely becoming the school waddle. Roll on half term!

Dixey make it your turn to go upstairs and put your feet up tonight!

Anna2006 · 30/01/2018 09:19

Coffeeandcupcakes I got given a growth scan st 38 weeks due to a trainee midwife measurements. Knew everything would be fine but nice for it to be checked anyway. Mine was estimated at 6lb 7oz. That was a week ago though.

So last night I figured let DH get lucky an have some nookie see if we can speed things along!
Woke up at 1.30am with period pains and back ache. Lasted about 45 mins. Then I fell asleep again. Hmm not sure if it was the sex that did something?! Nothing today though. 🙄🙄

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 30/01/2018 10:08

Thanks Anna. I just wondered how so many people seemed to know! I'm glad the baby is ok Smile.

Ha ha. Oh you poor thing! And it didn't even kick start labour Grin. I've thought about it, but am so huge and immobile now I think I'd look a bit silly Grin.

bulldogmum · 30/01/2018 10:12

39 exactly today! Had the worst insomnia for the last 2 weeks, awful cramps and back ache. Ready to meet our little one now. My DD1 arrived on her due date so was hoping for early.
Seeing consultant for a sweep this afternoon, fingers crossed!

Grimmfebruary · 30/01/2018 10:44

Well I was due 11th and he arrived last night!
