@BluePheasant Congratulations!! Flowers Hope you’re feeling ok apart from being sore!

Update here- midwife wouldn’t sweep today at 40+4. Have to wait till 41 weeks exactly which is Thursday. She will sweep then, then again on Sunday if nothing and then if that fails I’m booked for induction next Wednesday. Will be 40+13. Seems like a freaking age away. Also really wanted to avoid induction so if the sweeps don’t work I’ll be gutted Sad

MsP0b · 12/02/2018 20:09

That's wonderful @BluePheasant ThanksStar
Congratulations Smile

MsP0b · 13/02/2018 23:16

Safe arrival by ELCS today, after a looooong wait around and a couple of anxious wobbles by me!

Perfect baby girl, 7lbs 4oz. So far she's been eating and sleeping all the time. long may that last.

Everyone still stuck in the wait- it's so worth it xxx

Mrstobe90 · 14/02/2018 00:01

Congratulations both of you xxxx

bulldogmum · 14/02/2018 04:48

Our Valentine’s Baby arrived this morn at 1.33am weighing 8lbs 4oz. 41+1 and with an induction. Epidural failed which was not ideal but he’s here and perfect!

noname687328 · 14/02/2018 05:03

Baby was born 1 day late on Sunday. Planned Home birth but the part that wasn't planned was waters breaking at the park... baby arriving 45 mins later at home (my 2 boys had gone to their aunties with 30 mins to spare) without midwife, ambulance arrived 10 mins later. My husband delivered her in the birth pool! And all I had was a tens machine 😫😫😫

NoParticularPattern · 14/02/2018 07:03

Perfect baby girl born 3.40am weighing 8lb 15oz. Pessary went in at 11am and that was all I needed. Few stitches and a little sore but so so worth it!!

Congrats to those who have also had their babies! Fingers crossed it’s not long for the rest of you guys still waiting.

MsP0b · 14/02/2018 08:49

Congratulations everyone!

Those births sound amazing. X

Ava1985 · 14/02/2018 09:16

Wow, just checked the thread and a few of you have been busy!

Congratulations to the ladies with the new additions Flowers

I'm still here at 40 weeks tomorrow.. feeling okay but house has been hit with some kind of virus so hoping I dodge it for going into labour Shock still having the odd bout of Braxton Hicks but no sign of a show or anything significant. Yet!

Good luck to those still waiting! X

Naomilj · 14/02/2018 09:42

@Ava1985 hope you dodge the virus! Glad I’m not the only pregnant lady left!
39+4 - Lots of teasing Braxton Hicks, but doesn’t feel like it’s orogressing anywhere.

Congratulations to everyone who’s has their babies! Hope you’re all recovering well. X

Hey everyone!

I used to be on mumsnet constant at the start of my pregnancy and then to be honest I forgot my password so lurked for months Grin

I will be 39 weeks tomorrow and due 22nd February. First pregnancy so no idea what im in store for. Went to every antenatal, daisy birthday, labour class possible to prepare myself but last night I got pains in my lower stomach and it all went flying out the window as I thought omg its happening! ( I think it was just pain from the baby dropping maybe)

Even with the extreme nausea and vomiting at the beginning of my pregnancy I feel really sad that its all coming to an end. Im going to miss waddling about and feeling my baby wriggling inside me but looking forward to finally meeting he/she .

Congratulations to all the mummys who have gave birth! wont be long for the rest of us hopefully xx

Ava1985 · 14/02/2018 11:11

Thanks naomi I've been on it with the hand sanitizer and changing bedding to try to avoid!

Sounds the same as me with lots of Braxton Hicks, some quite intense but lead to nothing!

It won't be long for us both now, I'm sure! Anyone else hanging on??

Emcharlierush · 14/02/2018 17:10

40+6 here and off for a sweep tomorrow. Hoping and praying with every ounce of my being that it works!!!!!

Mrstobe90 · 14/02/2018 18:42

Try twiddling your nipples for about an hour while bouncing on a ball. I did this and when into labour the next morning xx

AndBabyMakes3 · 14/02/2018 22:33

40 + 1 today, had a sweep yesterday but no joy. Due another sweep at 41 weeks next Tuesday but fingers crossed baby will arrive before then. Sick throughout the entire pregnancy and has really ramped up the last few weeks with sciatica kicking in a week ago also. Really looking forward to getting baby out so I can finally rest! 😂 but will also be sad not to feel him/her moving around in there too. I'm a hormonal emotional mess the last few weeks!!

KittyKat73 · 15/02/2018 10:07

39 weeks today! thought it was all over last night. Got really severe lower back left sided pain that came around my left side to my front. Vomiting, crying, all the drama Blush pain was lasting about 10 - 15 mins each time. Eventually dulled off and i got some sleep. Phoned midwifes today and they said it sounds like my body is preparing for labour but not actual labour has started yet but think it will be soon!

i have my baby shower this weekend and im wondering if im going to be able to attend haha!

Hope everyone that is due sweeps is successful Smile

Mad6kids · 15/02/2018 14:21

41weeks and 1 day . Had sweep . Completely fed up Sad

Anna2006 · 15/02/2018 16:23

Baby girl born 11/02/18 at 8am weighing 7lbs exactly.

Been very busy so forgot to update. Labour was long and slow and ended up having waters broken and being on syntocin drip to speed things up. Forcep delivery and 3rd degree tear! Ouch!

4 days after labour today and feel more like myself and soreness is better

Ava1985 · 16/02/2018 09:38

Wow congratulations on even more new arrivals since I last checked on here Flowers

Anna what a delivery, hope your recovering well!

I'm 40+1 today and have a mw apt later on, she said something about offering a sweep but I'm inclined to decline with 'only' being a day over. I've gone into spontaneous labour twice before so feel like I will again before anything drastic like an induction? Am I mad for declining it though?

Mad hope things kick off for you soon, you must be fed up now being a week over X

Mad6kids · 16/02/2018 10:56

Baby boy born at 7.03 . Just got to hospital with 7 mins to spare befor he was born . All well and over the moon.

Hope everyone else is doing well :)

Emcharlierush · 16/02/2018 11:18

Now 40+8, sweep yesterday, still nothing. I have never felt so depressed. Have special needs DD who I am really struggling to do personal care for now. Sad

Mrstobe90 · 16/02/2018 12:23

Congratulations @Mad6kids!!

Hang in there @Emcharlierush! Xxxxx

MsP0b · 16/02/2018 14:49

@Emcharlierush You are so very nearly there. Things will be moving any minute now, hang in there x x x

mishmash33 · 16/02/2018 16:41

Congratulations to all those holding new bubbas.

Sorry to hear some of you are still waiting struggling. Not long now @Emcharlierush, you'll really enjoy the relief once baby arrived.

My 4th boy arrived Sat @ 1 am. Was getting contractions all afternoon but convinced that it was going to be a false alarm, so I went to bed (after a few tears), heard a pop whilst laying in bed and the next contraction made me fly out of bed, the pain had ramped up! Call to get the midwife (planned homebirth) and she sent the paramedics as they thought it was imminent. However baby's head was sideways, so we had to wait 45 mins for him to turn. 2 pushes and there he was. Def worth the wait!

AHungryMum · 16/02/2018 21:23

Congratulations to all who have now had their babies!

It's been a bad day for me I'm afraid. I went in to the hospital because i felt her movement had reduced. The foetal heart rate trace was fine and no signs of foetal distress, vaginal examination went fine, but there was glucose in my urine and my blood glucose was also higher than average. They measured my stomach and my baby apparently feels quite big, the upshot is that I'm now going to be induced on Monday or Tuesday, which was something I really hoped to avoid. Induction = increased risk of needing instrument assisted delivery, increased risk of needing a C section, and even if I'm "lucky" and avoid either of those, induced labour is still going to be more painful than natural labour. Plus I'm worried now by the "large baby" factor and worried that I've made her fat by eating too many naughty foods and in doing so set her up for a lifetime of weight struggles.

Generally feeling quite low now. 😢
