Baby boy born 0624 7lb7oz this morning. Contractions had been coming every 10mins from Thursday night after sweep.

Assessed teatime yesterday and told to go home and call/come back when contractions were 5 mins apart or 3 in 10 mins, at which NEVER happened.

Full labour with bloody show started around 4.45am which resulted in me crying on bed in agony unable to move a cm. Taken to hospital by ambulance (blue lighted which was worrying!) left home at 5.57am and delivered on the paramedic transfer trolley in maternity unit. 5mins earlier and he'd have been born in the ambulance bay!

So I laboured on paracetamol/hot bath assisted towards end by entonox (which started to run low/out in ambulance!)

Good luck to everyone else still waiting, hopefully not too much longer xxx

Emcharlierush · 10/02/2018 14:16

Congratulations to you both!! Flowers

Going to take a little break from my phone until DD is here. Really struggling mood wise and can’t cope with people messaging all the time and friends having babies whose due dates were after mine. The last straw was ‘can you stop posting on Facebook because every time we see your name we think You’ve had the baby!!’ Ffs. Seeing midwife Monday but she won’t sweep until the following week when I’ll be 41+5. Absolutely ridiculous.

Anyway good luck everybody else and best of luck to with your babies Flowers Smile

MsP0b · 10/02/2018 14:41

Massive congratulations to those with arrivals!

And big hug and hand hold to others like me still in the waaaaaaiiitt.

My SPD is horrific now. Hurry up baby X

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 10/02/2018 15:27

Congratulations to those who have had your babies. I hope you are all recovering well and enjoying time with your little ones!

@Emcharlierush - I am so sorry to hear that and I don't blame you for taking a break from your phone. I can't believe someone said that to you about Facebook! How insensitive. I really feel for you. I'm not even overdue and am getting sick of the messages. It hasn't even been family/close friends who have been bombarding me, it's been people I'm not that close to! I'm so sick of being told "that's a sign of labour" when I reply to their messages saying I've had cramps/back pain/sickness etc. Errrr no it's not, I've been having these symptoms for months. Can you please LISTEN to me when I say the baby won't be coming early Hmm. I also felt really bad because one of my friends who was 5 weeks behind me had her baby and my first thought was jealousy that her baby was here Blush. I know that is SO BAD as nobody wants to go into labour prematurely, but I'm just so so so so anxious about my baby arriving safely I find every day waiting really hard Sad. I really hope your baby arrives safely soon. It's rubbish that they can't do the sweep, or even induce, a little earlier Sad.

NoParticularPattern · 10/02/2018 17:29

Congrats to you both!!

Em I don’t blame you at all! I’m feeling very much the same- had a sweep yesterday at 41+0 and it’s done absolutely bugger all. I’ve not even had a show or any cramping. Exceptionally grateful that she has booked me for induction Tuesday, but I feel like such a failure for having to be induced. I feel like I already can’t even get my baby here safely without help so how the hell am I supposed to be relied upon to look after it once it’s here?! Definitely don’t blame you for taking a step back- the anxiety about having them here safe is ridiculous, definitely not helped by all the questions and people who deliver before you even though they were due after!! Not their fault and all that, but the jealousy is ridiculous!!

Mad6kids · 10/02/2018 17:29

Hi new to thread but going insane . 40+3 weeks and just wanting it over now . Im tired of being pregnant now and want him/her here . Eaten half a fresh pineapple and all that did was make my tongue numb Confused so gave up as assume body will evict when ready Sad
Congrats to everyone thats had there babies safe and sound x

Naomilj · 11/02/2018 07:02

Congratulations to all the mums who have had their babies!
I shouldn’t complain, still only 39+1 but have SPD, manic toddler and a general crappy mood!
60% want the baby to come asap but 40% terrified about how to manage my toddler! People do survive this right?!

How is everyone else who’s still pregnant?

Ava1985 · 11/02/2018 09:24

Hi all!

Nice to see a thread up and running for feb as the antenatal 'due feb' thread appears to have fully migrated to Facebook 😂 I do have a Facebook but just didn't fancy joining (paranoia by me, nothing wrong with joining it!)

Congratulations on the recent birthsStarFlowers
Hope all the ladies and babies are recovering and doing well! How exciting!

Hope all of you ladies that have passed due date go into labour soon!

I'm 39+3 here with dc3 and after never experiencing false alarms the previous two times, I had about three real 'omg is this it!' moments this time round. No loss of plug yet and Braxton Hicks appear to be mainly in the evening esp after a busy day on my feet. Had two straight forward (Ish) labours so mw expecting this one to go to plan but I must admit I'm feeling pretty anxious about the pain this time? Anyone else feeling that way even though they've been through it before?

Ava1985 · 11/02/2018 09:26

Also all the signs seem to come during the evening (5pm onwards) and as soon as I go to bed it all fizzles out and then I'm fine all day again...! Anyone else like this?

AnxietyForever · 11/02/2018 11:14

My little man arrived on Wednesday, had a super busy week so haven't had chance to update. We are so in love!
Congratulations to all who have had there babies!
Hang in there to those still waiting, it is so worth it Grin

mude · 11/02/2018 15:29

Ava1985 meee! It's so frustrating!

MsP0b · 11/02/2018 18:00

Mucus plug just went at 39+1

Will be a rush to hospital for CS if I go into labour before ELCS on Tues because this baby is breech.

Hope everyone else doing fine x x x x

Ava1985 · 11/02/2018 18:04

anxiety congratulations on your little man! Flowers

Mude when is your due date? It's such a strange feeling isn't it going from feeling normal Ish all day to then thinking your going into labour! Then next day nadda again ! My dd came at 40+6 and ds 39+6 and this is another ds Smile

Mrsp hope you hold out till your planned section! How typical when only 2 days away if that! Did you lose alot of your plug? Was it bloody at all? I had a 'bloody show' with ds which increased to a fair amount of red blood and straight into labour

MsP0b · 11/02/2018 18:19

@Ava1985 A couple of white bits came out earlier in the week and just now a big blob of white with a greenish tinge! Wasn't sure a mucus plug would be greenish but lots of them are yellowish/ greenish when you search google images! No blood.

NoParticularPattern · 11/02/2018 18:30

I’m so pleased I’m not the only weirdo that has google searched mucus plug!! I had a huge amount of jelly like clear/pale yellow/greenish snotty stuff when I got up this morning and have had a few smaller bits of clear jelly type stuff through the day. I always thought it was supposed to be bloody, but then google images suggests it doesn’t have to be. Lots of stabby cervix pains all day so maybe just maybe there might be movement?! Booked for induction Tuesday anyway but I’d be delighted if I could go into labour on my own thank you very much!!

Still thoroughly fed up of it all, but having an end in sight has at least stopped me being irrationally angry all of the time!!!

MsP0b · 11/02/2018 19:01

@NoParticularPattern That's defo your plug gone then!
We are in the same boat now... will we make it to induction/ ELCS respectively on Tuesday or will our bodies crack on??

I've had stabby cervix a bit today too but I've been getting that loads for ages (fanny daggers). Also I have been having loads of Braxton Hicks for ages.
Do you have any other signs going on?

BluePheasant · 11/02/2018 19:07

Congratulations to @Mrstobe90, @aquariel and @AnxietyForever Grin

Fingers crossed baby waits until your ELCS @MsP0b

Last few evenings I keep getting really low pelvic pain and so much pressure, keep thinking it’s going to start happening but all comes to nothing.

I’m having my ELCS tomorrow! Only found out for certain today, they like to do things last minute here! Spent half of today at the hospital for the pre op and the other half at a 5 year olds birthday party. Really what I wanted to be doing this afternoon, not! But DD would have been distraught if she couldn’t go, the things we do for the DC! Now in bed already as my back is killing me as spent most of the day sat on hard, uncomfortable chairs. Feeling quite nervous about the ELCS even though done it before. Can’t wait to get it over with!

MsP0b · 11/02/2018 19:27

Good luck tomorrow @BluePheasant !

Lucky you, you're soooo nearly there. This time tomorrow you'll be holding your newest baby. BiscuitBear

NoParticularPattern · 11/02/2018 21:08

MsP0b no I’ve had zero other signs! I still don’t even know what Braxton Hicks are!! Everyone asks if I’ve had them and I don’t know so I’m going with saying I’ve not felt them haha. I was mildly excited this morning when I saw the jelly on the tissue- not excited enough to tell DH though as he will step up the “are you in labour yet?” Phone calls that he has taken to doing Hmm

Good luck tomorrow blue. Fingers crossed there will be a flurry of babies on this thread shortly!!!

MsP0b · 12/02/2018 09:45

So this is very embarrassing but might provide some entertainment to those of you stuck in the boring waiting game so...

Last night more of my "mucus plug" came away, and it really was rather green. It was like pale green toothpaste, not like the snotty yellow/ greens you see on google images when you search for mucus plug. So I called maternity assessment centre to check about the colour and they said it sounds odd, come in... So at 11pm last night I was diagnosed with an epic case of green thrush!!!!!!! Rapid onset, extreme green thrush! And the so called mucus was "plaques" of thrush!! OMG!

Was sent away with canasten.

Naomilj · 12/02/2018 10:04

Oh my gosh @MsP0b! That’s horrendous! Hope you’ve recovered!
Ahh hurry up babies!

NoParticularPattern · 12/02/2018 10:05

MsP0b what a lovely description that was haha! Glad you’re sorted- have you got the delightful pessaries that make you all, erm, chalky down there? Had those at about 20 weeks and they were just wonderful Envy

MsP0b · 12/02/2018 18:48

@BluePheasant Hope your ELCS went smoothly today!

MsP0b · 12/02/2018 18:48

Good luck tomorrow @NoParticularPattern
Xx

BluePheasant · 12/02/2018 19:09
