Good luck @Kpo58 ! I am hoping for similar x

Get well wishes to your little guy @TriJo Hope you get home ASAP x

Anna2006 · 05/02/2018 15:07

Good luck @Kpo58 at least something seems to be moving on this thread now lol.

Had relaxing bath last night and thought my waters had maybe broken when I got out as duvet had a wet patch. But wasn’t sure if it was actually bath water. Rung delivery and wore pad over night. An had nothing further and no pains so was false alarm.

Gutted. I got so excited when I thought it was maybe my waters. Sigh. Why the minute it gets to due date so you become THE most impatient person on the planet.

It’s so much pressure. Because everyone is just waiting for news..

Just thought I'd add my voice on here (long time lurking on the pregnancy board/thread) ... my EDD was 4/2/18 and had a sweep on 1/2/18 which clearly did nothing as I'm still waiting. Had a final (40wk) growth scan at hospital this morning and baby showing as approx 8lb7oz (so he's definitely "cooked" and ready to come out of the oven), also feeling as though I've been pregnant forever (previous two pregnancies were induced at 36 and 37wks for cholestasis and "maternal stress").

I've had some niggles this afternoon but nothing regular or painful, just making me aware that he's there I think!. Will be going for a nap soon though as feeling pretty wiped out.

BluePheasant · 05/02/2018 20:10

Hope you and baby are both home soon @TriJo.

Hello @aquariel, another baby who doesn’t want to budge! Fingers crossed it will happen this week.

Think my gallbladder is playing up again, currently in bed with a hot water bottle on my right side to ease pain. Had this with DC1 too. Seems to only play up in pregnancy.

Kpo58 · 05/02/2018 22:04

After most of a day waiting, DS has been born weighing 8 pounds. Smile

inappropriateraspberry · 05/02/2018 22:12

Congratulations kpo!

Mrstobe90 · 05/02/2018 22:19

Congratulations @Kpo58!! :D

AHungryMum · 06/02/2018 05:35

Awww congrats kppo58! How was the birth? Hope all went well.

TriJo - hope you and baby are both home soon too. :)

laelti · 06/02/2018 08:37

Congratulations kpo and trijo hope you and the little ones are doing well!

40+3 today and appears my little one is far more interested in kicking me in the bladder than making an arrival!

Dixeychick · 06/02/2018 08:45

Congratulations @Kpo58 & @TriJo ! Hope you're both doing well & get home soon with your LOs. I'm in for first stretch & sweep this afternoon, desperately hoping it's going to work, or at least show that my cervix is starting to think about getting ready... baby's head is so low down now that it feels like it's actually in my vagina when I walk! Come on babies!

bulldogmum · 06/02/2018 08:54

Congrats to all those who’s little ones have arrived!
I’m at 40 weeks and he doesn’t seem to want to move. Have had 2 sweeps and nothing! Hoping he arrives soon, my belly is so itchy and stretch marks feel like they’re on fire! Being induced next week but hoping we don’t get that far.

charley39 · 06/02/2018 09:16

Currently waiting for them to start my induction! Fingers crossed it isn’t too long!

NoParticularPattern · 06/02/2018 09:25

God I’m so jealous of you guys who’ve had yours or who have even had sweeps. Was booked for a sweep yesterday but got there to be told they won’t do one until I’m a week over! So yesterday morning was a total waste of time! 40+4 now and I am completely fed up with everyone’s questions and messages asking if the baby is here yet. I know they mean well and all, but every single time I get a message like it I just want to cry. I’m terrified that I’ll end up being induced and then end up with a section. Obviously I just want baby here safe, but I really really don’t want to end up with a section as I won’t be able to have DH help me a lot of the time as he has the farm to sort out day and night. The rest of my relatives all have commitments at home which mean I’ll be left to it which is obviously fine if I don’t have a section, but not being able to lift anything, see to the dogs and horses and not being able to drive to a supermarket for shopping will be a nightmare! Especially as I can’t even do online grocery shopping down here!!

Argh sorry for the whinge but it’s getting to the point where I’m driving myself insane now!!

Anna2006 · 06/02/2018 09:38

@Noparticularpattern feel your pain. My 40 weeks appointment they should of done sweep but said no as was few days before my due date. Luckily I can have one this Thursday 🤞🏻🤞🏻

No one tells you this last slog is the worse! These people who have there babies at 39 weeks is lovely time. As no one expects its particularly early and the minute you hit due date all the questions start 🙄🙄

Emcharlierush · 06/02/2018 10:57

@NoParticularPattern I totally agree. I’m getting so irritated with people asking. Again, I know they mean well...but for gods sake it will be pretty obvious when I send a message, post on Facebook or turn up at the school run with a pram!! My next appointment is at 40+4...and I’m horrified they told you you couldn’t have a sweep. I will be so upset if I get told the same Sad

NoParticularPattern · 06/02/2018 11:48

I’m so glad I’m not alone!! Well I’m not, because I’d dearly love for us all to sneeze our babies out this afternoon during lunch, but at least I don’t feel like the only one moaning!! I didn’t even massively want a sweep, I just sort of wanted to know if anything was making any progress down there. All I ever get is “ooh baby is lovely and engaged and in a fab position. Have you had your show or lost any waters yet? Doesn’t feel like it will be long!”. NO. IM STILL INTACT JUST LIKE THE LAST THREE TIMES YOU SAID THAT.

I might calm down one day haha!!

laelti · 06/02/2018 11:49

That must be very frustrating! I was given a sweep at 39+6, not that it seems to have helped anything along... nice to feel like they were trying though. I'll have another on Friday (40+6) if still nothing.

Everytime I see the words "any signs yet?" I feel the anger! Not sure how much longer I've got before offending MiL with a sarcastic reply. My sister is not safe either but at least I think she'd take it better. Do people think you're just not going to tell them? Everytime they ask part of me leans further towards it!

Have had a few twinges this morning but nothing consistent or properly painful. They've mostly been at night until now so telling myself that's some progress, but not getting my hopes up!

mishmash33 · 06/02/2018 11:56

You are definitely not alone. I am 39 + 4 and I can hardly move. Number 4 boy too. Very bored of the 'are you excited?' too. Excited to be in so much pain? Sorry to grump. I know it'll all change when baby arrives but just so hard at the moment.

Mrstobe90 · 06/02/2018 12:03

Good luck @charley39! Hope it all goes well xx

Mrstobe90 · 06/02/2018 12:04

@NoParticularPattern sorry you're feeling so crap! Last week I was a complete mess and sobbed to my midwife, begging her to just get the baby out (was told no lol) so I know how you're feeling!

Hope baby arrives very very soon! Xx

TriJo · 06/02/2018 12:13

I went 8 days over with my first, had a bit of a meltdown at 4 and 6 days over at still being pregnant. I had plenty of time though to get things done before baby arrived.

Exact opposite this time - finished work on a Friday and induction started on the Monday after a bout of contractions on the Saturday and reduced movements into Sunday and I haven't left the hospital since then. I had nothing ready except my hospital bag, which had been packed for 2 nights rather than the 8 I've already been in for!

Emcharlierush · 06/02/2018 12:51

@NoParticularPattern I think that’s what’s worse, I’ve also been lured into a false sense of labour being imminent because of those sorts of comments from the midwife!! She’s even said that she’ll plan to see me on the 12th...but “you will probably have a baby by then” WHY would you say that? That is just asking for a horrendously overdue baby!!!

My other thing is that this is my second pregnancy and people have told me you’re only likely to go a bit over and labour will be quicker because your body has done it all before. However on looking into this further...it’s less likely if you have a 7 and a half year gap like I do...great.

As you can tell, I am so freaking fed up and tired today Sad Blush

Rainshowers · 06/02/2018 13:50

noparticularpattern same here! I'm 40+3 tomorrow and seeing the midwife but was told they won't do a sweep until next week. So frustrating.

I've been measuring big all along (and I'm only little), and I'm really anxious about this labour. The midwife has been really dismissive of my concerns and just says 'oh second time is much easier' but I don't feel like I'm being taken seriously. I'm worried about having to give birth to a big baby, and every day I go overdue makes me more anxious for the future state of my pelvic floor (which is already pretty ruined fro my DD1)!

Glad we have a few babies arriving, let's hope they all start getting a move on asap (ideally starting with these overdue ones!)

MsP0b · 06/02/2018 14:52

Get moving babies! Sending everyone strength and gritted teeth.

I'm just dropping in for an SPD/ PGP whinge:

I've got total cabin fever- now on day 12 of being confined to sofa, bed and back again due to outrageous fanny, hip, thigh pain if I move. Today I moved around the kitchen heating up soup and making teas and coffees for visitors (that I have started to invite round for sanity reasons!) and OMG I've destroyed my bits just with that amount of activity!! Can't even tidy up after lunch without it feeling like an axe is being repeatedly buried in my crotch! Ooooooooooh!

1 week to go till ELCS.

Hang in there everyone xxxxxx

Naomilj · 06/02/2018 17:06

@Msp0b poor you! I’d like to join in on your SPD winge. Trying to keep up with my toddler is awful, moving around makes my hips/legs feel like a wish bone being snapped!

Also feel like a terrible mother who is a complete idiot for thinking we could manage with two. Does anyone else on their second pregnancy feel like this?
