Hey everyone I thought I'd start a thread for September babies!

I've found out I was pregnant yesterday which was amazing! I'm a first time mum so I'm new to all of this, conceived cycle 2.

When should I contact GP to confirm pregnancy, has anyone got any advice this early on?

I'm giving my self a kick up the arse and getting back on the heathy band wagon tomorrow! Agree with the starving all the time..had no job for a week so I've not been able to food prep like I usually do

With you there ladies on the hungry thing.

I have been starving, I have enjoyed eating so much putting on weight already. Never got this hungry with my other two pregnancies.
Was so sick with baby number 2. Actually lost 1 Stone. Just preying I don't get bad sickness with this one.
I have more energy than normal so that's a bonus and seem to be sleeping alot better.
Just have to remind myself to slow down at work. Often rushing around.

snowy1982 · 05/01/2018 06:56

Exercise wise I am planning to just continue waking the dogs as long as possible, we usually do 3 miles a day on a week day and longer at weekends. They are big dogs though so I do worry that it will start to get too much for me soon, and worry about their ability to pull me over (only ever happened once and that was in really icy conditions). I have also read that cycling is good in 1st trimester so going to get back on my exercise bike. My weight was ok before pregnancy (not perfect as hormone injections for IUI played havoc with it a bit) but have had weight issues in the past (was very overweight when younger and lost 7 stone doing weight watchers) so don’t want this to be the reason my weight gets out of control again.

Am feeling hungry a lot at the minute but am trying to make smart food choices, making lots of soup to have and stocking the house with fruit

BlueberryClouds · 05/01/2018 07:05

@rabbitsdontlayeggs great idea about the soup! I'll do that over the weekend for next week. Yeah you're not meant to take on extra calories at this stage but I can't see how I'm not going to. At least if it's fruit and veg it's good calories!

Fia256 · 05/01/2018 07:24

I'm jumping on the healthy bandwagon too as of today! Even after my DC1 I snapped back and I could eat whatever I wanted without putting any weight on! Then after our loss in June, I 100% have comfort eaten, eating all the crap and fizzy drinks etc! I've weighed myself today and I've put on a stone in the last 6 months, and generally feel rubbish about myself. Really don't want to balloon even more this pregnancy so going to try so hard to kick the junk food habit! My last pregnancy I was so sick I lost a stone in the first trimester! While I don't want the sickness, I wouldn't mind that weight loss again GrinGrin

LostMyBaubles · 05/01/2018 07:50

I will be finding out
I'm too impatient to wait lol

I'm not eating as much as pre pregnancy

My feet are really hurting

I think my spd will be bad this time as I'm getting pain in joints already!

Have a bit more energy than last week

PinkyPromise77 · 05/01/2018 10:04

OMG so with you ladies on the eating thing!!! I had a sandwich and then dinner and still was hungry... the day before I had to make myself eggs at 10pm 😂😂😂

Pixiedust25 · 05/01/2018 10:32

Hello everyone! Jumping over from the Jan/feb bus.
Got our BFP yesterday and still struggling to take it all in, it doesn’t feel real!
Very excited, due around the middle of September but not sure exactly as this was first cycle off the mini pill so don’t know cycle length.

mumready · 05/01/2018 11:10

@Pixiedust25

Congratulations on your BFP!

I note you have only been TTC for a month since stopping the mini pill.

Just wondered what date you stopped the pill and wether you had AF before getting your BFP or any symptoms?

I stopped cerelle mini pill on 11th December and never had periods. Had sore boobs last week and lower back pain this week (not had this before)

Not sure when to test.
Thanks x

Pixiedust25 · 05/01/2018 11:40

Hello and thank you @mumready I took my last pill on the 18th November and had a 5 day AF on 1st December. I was doing OPKs and don’t think I ovulate until 24th dec.
I feel as though I have had loads of symptoms from around 4dpo. Nauseous, heavy achey boobs and my whole body was aching over new year! I also have had two colds in about 2 weeks.
I’m not sure when the best time to test would be had you tracked ovulation at all or had any obvious signs (EWCM etc) xx

Pinkslink17 · 05/01/2018 11:42

Ahead of saying this I've already booked in wit a doctor on Monday - has anyone else found a lump in their breast during early pregnancy? May be a stupid question but I didn't know if it's part of my body gearing up or something? Never had this before, I was moisturising this morning and there is a lump the size of a 5p almost under my armpit?! My DH felt it and said straight a way I need it checking, I don't want to get too worked up about it so I thought I'd check on here for opinions regarding it being a symptom?!

OP posts:
Stowie3012 · 05/01/2018 12:55

@Pinkslink17 I wouldn't worry too much about the lump. Your breasts are very reactive to change in hormones. But your other half is right it is definitely always best to get it checked. You don't want extra anxiety when it is most likely nothing. Not sure if everywhere is the same, but for breast problems in my area the hospital will see you within two weeks of a gp referral. Then they just do a quick ultrasound and give you an answer straight away. Hope this helps xx

PinkyPromise77 · 05/01/2018 13:14

Oh yay Pixiedust25!!! Congratulations!!!! I’m due around 17th Sep... it feels so unreal too!!!

I had symptoms or what felt like symptoms from day 4DPO as well. Mine was slightly dizzy at time couple nauseous moments and one super emotional meltdown. Last few days is suuuuuper hungry in the evenings and tired 💤

Stellarbella · 05/01/2018 13:36

What sort of symptoms is everyone experiencing - I'm just getting a bit of pelvic cramping. I'm tired, but I'm always tired! No morning sickness yet, but I'm only 4w+5. In a weird way, I think getting morning sickness would reassure me!

Scoobysue10 · 05/01/2018 14:36

I am about 5 wks. Had really bad heart burn for about 2 wks before I found out I was pregnant not had it since. Lol.

I get tired in the afternoons that lasts a couple of hrs. Have more energy now than I did pretty pregnant.

Slight headaches every now and then.
My boobs are solid and so painful.
Been having cramping ever now and then.
Have been so hungery that seems to have stopped today. No sickness YET
Gone off chocolate and sweet things.
Think thats about it for symptoms lol

Pixiedust25 · 05/01/2018 14:51

@PinkyPromise77 so happy to join you over here haha! We are on a really similar journey I think, first month ttc aswell?
I just feel like it must have been a mistake, are you going to test again?

BlueberryClouds · 05/01/2018 15:28

@PinkSlink17 yeah mine are weird and not normal texture shall we say (!) but best just to double check. Sure it's fine though so don't panic!

@Stellabear I'm just shattered and starving. Perfect recipe for being Hangry basically! Grin xxx

snowy1982 · 05/01/2018 16:22

Been so busy in work today havent noticed symptoms much until half an hour ago. Having an odd queasiness today, nothing like normal feeling, it’s a bit weird to explain. Still cramping but frequency is definitely less the last day or so. Still no tender boobs

Stellarbella · 05/01/2018 17:21

I am also way more clumsy than usual. DH says he knew I was pregnant when I almost crashed the car on Monday!

Fia256 · 05/01/2018 17:21

I've not got many symptoms so far. On and off slight cramping and pulling feelings, had slight nausea this morning but nothing major! As much as I don't want the symptoms to start, I do too for peace of mind!

jitterbug5 · 05/01/2018 17:26

Ahh how exciting! I'm not pregnant but I was in your positions this time last year and my 3 month old DS is wonderful! So excited for you all!

snowy1982 · 05/01/2018 17:51

@fia256, I know what you mean, I don’t particularly want morning sickness but if I had it I would be more reassured

Coconutcrush · 05/01/2018 18:35

Ive had Backache and headaches ,and tiredness! not much else yet thankfully. .

Flamingo84 · 05/01/2018 18:42

I’m 5w+3 and boobs have just started getting sore, the muscles in my stomach feel like they’re pulling and stretching and I’ve been a bit weepy. I’ve also had the worst fatigue ever. I have M.E. anyway but this is a whole new level of exhaustion.

niclw · 05/01/2018 18:51

Has anyone else had this? I've been really bloated for the last 5 days, basically since just before I got my bfp. My boobs have been really sore too. But today this seems to have totally stopped. I've had a bit of cramping everyday including today and haven't had any bleeding but I'm worrying that I haven't got the other symptoms today. It seems a bit strange complaining about not being bloated but I've got a little worried. I've got one digital test left so plan on using it in the morning.
