Hey everyone I thought I'd start a thread for September babies!

I've found out I was pregnant yesterday which was amazing! I'm a first time mum so I'm new to all of this, conceived cycle 2.

When should I contact GP to confirm pregnancy, has anyone got any advice this early on?

@scoobysue10, emotionally/mentally I am feeling better today, the feeling of doom seems to have left, but as I was getting ready to leave work today I had some more of my constipation problems, so working from home this morning to see how it goes.

Let us know how your appointment goes, I still don’t know when mine is

Helen290 · 25/01/2018 10:13

@Scoobysue10 ah good luck with your midwife appointment 🙂, I'm still waiting to book my 12 week scan the bloody X-ray department haven't received my paper work yet from the midwife so can't book it yet hoping by tomorrow I can.

missamy94 · 25/01/2018 10:25

So today marks the same stage I got to with my last pregnancy that ended in early MC, I'm 5 week 6 days, I've got loads more symptoms this time round and I just feel differently in my self so I'm hoping this one sticks!

SquidgyMcPidgy · 25/01/2018 10:45

Can anyone recommend something to drink that doesn’t make nausea worse? I’m so dehydrated but even the thought of a drink makes me ill. I can’t drink any tea (even ginger), any cordial (too sweet), not even water on its own. Cold coke would be good but it’s got caffeine and I can’t really drink more than a can a day. I feel like I need a cold salty drink but what is that..?! Anyone come across anything that goes down well?

missamy94 · 25/01/2018 11:12

Squidgy I have found that Sprite Zero works wonders for me, it eases my nausea a lot, along with little packs of gingerbread men

Helen290 · 25/01/2018 15:22

I ended up leaving work cause I felt so Ill i feel guilty because I'm not ill exactly it's just pregnancy symptoms, my doctor even offers to sign me off for a few weeks but I said no I think I just need a couple of days hopefully by next week I might feel a little better

niclw · 25/01/2018 15:42

Went for my scan this morning. Saw the little heart beating. Based on measurements they said I'm 6 weeks 4 days. I thought I was 6w6d but she said the likelihood was that by 12 weeks they will change the date again. Only 6 weeks and 1 day till my next scan (not that I'm counting or anything) x

Scoobysue10 · 25/01/2018 15:55

Squidgy have you tried drinking cold drinks with ice. When I have bad days I find that really helps as only fluids I can stomach.

Booking in went well ladies.
Took about an hour. But had a trainee midwife as well as midwife. They were both lovely as my situation is a bit unique.
I will be midwife and consultant led but I new that would happen anyway.

Probably go and get my bloods done tomorrow.

How is everyone today.

PinkyPromise77 · 25/01/2018 16:02

Ohhh sorry to hear Helen that you are feeling so poorly. Hope you get some rest lovely.

Yay for heatbeat niclw!

Fx I hear it too tomorrow on my scan.... EEEEK!

SquidgyMcPidgy I found mint or chamomile tea helps me... haven't been really sick yet just slight nauseous moment... latest one at 2 am last night :/ I had to eat something to make it pass... LOL!

niclw · 25/01/2018 16:29

Thanks PinkyPromise77. Good luck for tomorrow. Just a warning that you won't be able to hear the heartbeat though as it's too early. I really wish I could have had a video of it as it was beating so fast x

PinkyPromise77 · 25/01/2018 16:33

Thanks niclw I should be 6w 4 days tomorrow so very close to you :) My Due date currently is 17th Sept :)

Francesca1999 · 25/01/2018 17:51

Hey. I am currently 5weeks and 6days. I'm due 21st September. Can anyone work out the dates I may have concieved? Thankyou!!

Helen290 · 25/01/2018 18:00

@PinkyPromise77 thank you I would like to say after resting I feel better but I have zero energy I feel exhausted and nauseas on and off all day I just don't want to do anything 🙈😔 I feel great full that my symptoms are still here as I would worry like crazy if they went but it's Dam hard.

Tobebythesea · 25/01/2018 18:07

Hi everyone! May I join you? I’m 7 weeks and due around mid September. Second child. Dating scan 20th Feb. No nausea compared to the first time but there is still time! Exhausted though.

Scoobysue10 · 25/01/2018 18:13

Cannot believe that.
Have fancied Chinese all wk. Finally get to have Chinese tonight and only managed a few mouthfuls. Started feeling ill again. I have noticed I am better during morning and afternoon than compared to the evening.
So disappointed

Francesca1999 · 25/01/2018 18:38

When did I concieve can anyone find out for me please? The most likely date I concieved? I'm currently 5weeks 6days. And the first day of my last period was 5th December 2017. Baby is due 21st September 2018!!

Francesca1999 · 25/01/2018 18:42

Not sure how to use this website lol

Kkk87 · 25/01/2018 18:48

@Francesca1999 hi, if you have an "average" 28 day cycle I would say you conceived around 19th-20th December

Kkk87 · 25/01/2018 18:52

If you're dating yourself from first day of last period tho wouldn't that make you 7 weeks 2 days ? @Francesca1999

Francesca1999 · 25/01/2018 19:02

.

Francesca1999 · 25/01/2018 19:04

Hi everyone I'm new to this website. I'm only 5weeks 6days. Doctor said I concieved late because my periods are irregular. Just trying to work out the dates as I had sex with my ex around the end of December and I have a new partner now x thanks everyone x

Kkk87 · 25/01/2018 19:10

Oh ok. Maybe 29th December? I'm no expert tho. Someone maybe be to help you better @Francesca1999

Francesca1999 · 25/01/2018 19:11

Is there a way I can work it out on the calendar thankyou x

TeaVee · 25/01/2018 19:11

I joined this when I found out I was expecting but I had an ectopic 2 weeks later, how do I unfollow this thread on the app?

PumpkinPatch000 · 25/01/2018 19:17

Thank you @Kiztok congratulations too! How did your appointment go?

@snowy1982 thank you for letting me know about the vaginal ultrasounds. I'm pretty naive to all this and only really heard people talk about the 12 week scan before. i'm 4+5 and I have a GP appointment in a few days, do you think it's likely they'll do a vaginal scan or just want until the 12 weeks?

Congrats on your pregnancy! x
