Hey everyone I thought I'd start a thread for September babies!

I've found out I was pregnant yesterday which was amazing! I'm a first time mum so I'm new to all of this, conceived cycle 2.

When should I contact GP to confirm pregnancy, has anyone got any advice this early on?

I have finally got a bfp yesterday and took another 3 tests just to be sure! I think I’m due 25th sept but really concerned as I had a MMC and complete - couple of years ago. I just hope this one sticks

Ktn35 · 20/01/2018 18:45

Hi guys! I found out this week too - due 29th September ... terrified of losing it and can’t stop stressing either! I am obsessively taking tests! How are you feeling? X

ToriaH84 · 20/01/2018 19:04

I’m the same; trying to be excited but panicking over every little thing already 😂my boobs are super sore and I am a little achey in my back but other than that all’s good. How many tests have you taken? Xx

81louise · 20/01/2018 22:39

@Tinkerbelle568 You don't legally have to tell them until 15 weeks before you are due. However, if your work environment involved things like heavy lifting that could affect your pregnancy, you need to tell them so they can modify your job and protect you and your baby.

@TheBlindspot, You are so right. I still can't get the Dr's test to go positive, they took a third test on Thursday, neg in their office, so they have sent it off to the hospital for further testing, still not back :(. Distracting myself with starting to clear out the spare bedroom in preparation. I have about 8 binbags and 2 boxes for the charity shop, ...it needs doing anyways. One of the perks / downfalls of working for myself from home.

@Scoobysue10 probably bloating. I have been thinking I look pregnant when we see the parents. I don't at all. its all in my head

@ToriaH84 Congrats!! I am in a similar position I am due on the 23rd, we had a mmc in Nov 2016, so just lots of sticky positive thoughts for this one! I have taken 5 home tests, but can't get the Drs ones to go positive, so can't get booked in yet

Ktn35 · 20/01/2018 23:12

@ToriaH84 I have taken 5 😬 first at 8dpo was BFN then I had a faint BFP at 12dpo and a BFP digital at 13dpo and then today I tried a crap cheap test which was BFN! So I freaked out and did anothe clearblue which was strong BFP! So I am convinced ... but terrified of it just disappearing! I had a chemical last month and am worried about it going again. I keep reading miscarriage statistics online .... bad idea!

Scoobysue10 · 21/01/2018 07:26

Well i'm sure not bloated any more.
Can't keep anything in since 9.30pm last night.
Have picked up a stomach bug from work.
I picked one up when I was pregnant with number 2. Was hoping to get away with it this time. No suck luck. Sad

Ktn35 · 21/01/2018 09:18

Anyone else having weird twinges and pulls that are freaking them out???!!!

Mangopassionfruit · 21/01/2018 09:23

Yes @ktn35 and then they go and then I worry that they’re not there anymore and then they come back and I worry what’s going on and round and round....! @bearlove how are you doing?

PassTheAfterEights · 21/01/2018 09:52

Thanks so much @Hardheadedwoman39 that's kind and makes sense, no more spotting since Friday night and only once (light pink) so hopefully it was just nestling a little deeper! So alarming first time Confused feeling too fine for comfort right now but only heading into fifth week so hoping the little chap will stay snug a bit longer before making me feel awful! Resisting the urge to keep testing and tell myself what will be will be but suspect we will crack and book a private scan in a couple of weeks. Probably a better use of the funds! Hope you are feeling OK too and not too under the weather with symptoms!

Ktn35 · 21/01/2018 10:02

@Mangopassionfruit glad I’m not the only one! I don’t know if I can deal with this level of anxiety for another 8 months 😩😩😩

Ktn35 · 21/01/2018 10:03

Although I’m sore I will be feeling anxiety for the rest of my life once I’m a mum so maybe should just get used to it!

Marriageoftrueminds · 21/01/2018 10:06

Hi everyone please can I join? I’m 4 weeks pregnant after two years of trying and an ectopic pregnancy so I’m very worried as is probably to be expected! My app says I am due around September 28th but who knows.

Last night I suddenly had a bout of awful cramping then it just disappeared, has anyone else had this? My period was due this weekend but I don’t normally get bad cramps before my period. I ate a curry last night though, could that be it?? (Clutching at straws!!)

Also I have pains in the site of my ectopic pregnancy (which only happened in November) so I’ve got an early scan on Monday (NHS).

Congrats to everyone and fingers crossed all your pregnancies go amoothly!

Katsanddogs · 21/01/2018 10:59

Welcome and congratulations to everyone just joining. Try not to worry about weird cramps and twinges, I've had plenty of them too. My little one definitely has a dislike for cups of tea so I'm going to have to struggle through the next few weeks without having one in the morning.
It was all made worth it at my scan this morning. I was right about my dates and the little black dot is looking perfect for 5+3. Having another one at 8 weeks, can't wait.

cougarsrus · 21/01/2018 13:01

Hi all, just been reading through all these posts ! I'm due September 29th 18. Got BFF at 10dpo although was a squinter. Now got stronger lines. Still worrying about everything from feeling too tired then if that goes not tired enough. No nausea yet (should I be worried about that!) not much cramps few big ones yesterday but mostly mild if not at all (is that worrying ?!() Hmm

brackeroo · 21/01/2018 13:23

Can I join? Got my BFP today! Apparently due 27th September!

PassTheAfterEights · 21/01/2018 15:05

@cougarsrus congrats (and to @brackeroo and other newbies!) if it helps we're due the same week (28/09) and although have had persistent backache since about 5 dpo I have next to no other symptoms - occasional light cramping / twinges, drinking & peeing a little more and possibly ever so slightly sore nips and more tired but not really, and I had some light pink spotting friday night - the other ladies on here and the other Sept 18 thread were hugely reassuring, it's just early days for fully fledged symptoms. Desperate to feel sick right now! But advice I had was to enjoy it while it lasts Grin

Kiztok · 21/01/2018 18:30

Hi all
I think I’m due late sept (different sites give different dates!) 1st day of last period was 21st Dec and date we got carried away in bed was 1st Jan

Anyways I’m enjoying reading all your posts but I just wondered if someone could let me know what some of the abbreviations you are using mean?
Thanks x

PassTheAfterEights · 21/01/2018 19:45

Hi @Kiztok and congrats! You're a day ahead of me. There's a list of usual MN acronyms here www.mumsnet.com/info/acronyms

cougarsrus · 21/01/2018 19:58

Hi @PassTheAfterEights thanks for replying, so glad to know I'm not alone ! What other September group ? 2018 haven't found another. Is this your first? xx

Kiztok · 21/01/2018 20:03

Thank you and congrats too, I was thinking what the hell does BPF and POAS mean ha ha makes total sense now 😂

PassTheAfterEights · 21/01/2018 20:23

@cougarsrus definitely not alone! Other thread here September 2018 #2: testing and symptom-analysing
http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/3138547-September-2018-2-testing-and-symptom-analysing many more helpful ladies sharing thoughts & overanalysing symptoms or lack thereof (myself included)

@Kiztok hurrah! Some of the thread-specific acronyms are gold, the JS'ing ladies over in Conception in particular crack me up https://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3033890-Hell-no-Aunt-Flo-you-not-invited-to-this-JS-ing-party-Were-polishing-our-halos-whilst-dusting-off-our-bedsheets-Its-JSing-Fred-64

brackeroo · 21/01/2018 20:35

Thanks @PassTheAfterEights! So apparently I put the wrong data in the app and my due date is actually 30th September. This is my first pregnancy and we've been TTC for about 5 months. It's gonna be great symptom comparing and having some ladies to go through this with!

ToriaH84 · 21/01/2018 21:02

Ok so my last two pregnancies ended in miscarriage, so obviously I’m super nervous(I do have a 9 yr old son too). It may seem like a really silly question, but sex is ok right now isn’t it?! I didn’t have any sex with my sons father after we found out, more cos I think I grossed him out (the warning signs were there). New partner, both have a high sex drive; is it ok to partake? Sorry if TMI 🙈 btw I’m 5w

Weareboatsremember · 21/01/2018 22:15

Got my bfp yesterday, cbdigi 2-3 weeks, which fits exactly with my own tracking. Edd 26th September. Trying to not get my hopes up as I have a 4 yo (will be 5 when/if this baby comes), and had a mmc at 9 weeks a couple of years ago, and an early mc at 5+3 in October last year. If this one doesn’t stick i won’t try again, so this is the last shot!
Gl to all x

snowy1982 · 22/01/2018 05:52

@toriah84, unless you have been advised by a dr not too then sex is fine. I have read and seen on some other boards that some women have some spotting after sex, due to increased blood flow to uterus and cervix, but that it isn’t something to be concerned aboifv
