Hey everyone I thought I'd start a thread for September babies!

I've found out I was pregnant yesterday which was amazing! I'm a first time mum so I'm new to all of this, conceived cycle 2.

When should I contact GP to confirm pregnancy, has anyone got any advice this early on?

@snowy1982 You're a bit further on than me so I've not experienced it myself yet but I do remember my sister saying it felt like her pelvis broke in two every time she sneezed. I think it's just the ligaments softening up

Fia256 · 14/01/2018 08:59

@snowy1982 don't worry I've done that plenty of times already and remember it well with previous pregnancies. I find whenever I sneeze if I try and hold my tummy it helps. But it is totally normal and down to your muscles as they are stretching etc

Zoey36 · 14/01/2018 08:59

@Snowy the same happens to me every time! Don't worry x

snowy1982 · 14/01/2018 09:02

I had been holding my tummy for sneezes because I usually sneeze quite violently and just thought it might help, last nights came on totally out of nowhere so didn’t hold my tummy.

Thanks, you have all reassured me a bit Smile

Congratulations @Brownbear84 and pleased to see another member of the 40+ club @coastalchick! How are you feeling @OverseastepMom still doing your 5k runs? Sorry to hear about your sleep deprivation @snowy1982 that sounds really tough. My itchy rash has been diagnosed as PUPPP which normally comes in 3rd trimester - lucky me! Apparently it could mean I'm carrying a boy... How's everyone doing today?

coastalchick · 14/01/2018 09:50

@brownbear84 - congratulations! And we have the same EDD (well, presuming mine sticks - petrified after MMC in August and I'm 40 3 days before my EDD).

@GlastoFairy1 - ok, just knicker checking all the time. My IC getting darker each day though so good sign. Seeing consultant tomorrow - we had an appointment booked in because of my age and fact we'd had a MC. They don't normally refer until after 3 MC's but I wailed at my GP and she agreed to refer me (plus I'm offshore so they don't have NHS guidelines to adhere to). Sorry re your rash (and hope it's not painful). Can they give you anything to help?

Sorry for those with sleep dep. I'm waking too early too. But sleeping ok at the mo other than that. Was hard last night as out for my friends leaving do and wasn't drinking. Had to say dry January! I think my friends husband has guessed though as earlier this week it was all systems go re our wedding and we were going to do this June (we'd been hanging on since MC to see what would happen and thought we were out this month!) and then I've done a u-turn and he sort of had a knowing glint in his eye (he's one of my closest friends so can probs tell when I'm lying).

Re sneezing, I get that too! So paranoid it's going to fly out of me - same when pushing out a fart or a poo!

Welcome to all new ladies :)

I’m a bit worried about my cramps too @snowy1982 & @katsanddogs ... it’s freaking me out as got moments where there are just couple shorter stabs on one side so worrying myself about possible ectopic. Ps good luck tomorrow for your scan, hopefully it will put your mind at ease...

I think in general I feel a bit worried as I have nauseous moments throughout the day but haven’t actually been sick so worry if everything is actually going well...

Anyone else around 4w + 6 not been sick yet?

snowy1982 · 14/01/2018 10:41

@PinkyPromise77, I am 6w+2 and I haven’t actually been sick yet, lots of nausea and last couple of days heaving, but no actual vomit. Don’t think it’s really something to be too concerned about, I had read that morning sickness (which doesn’t just mean actual sick) generally doesn’t kick in until 6 weeks. I know everyone is different and some get it earlier etc but I wouldn’t be concerned about it

coastalchick · 14/01/2018 10:49

@pinky - yes, last time I wasn't sick until towards 6 weeks anyway so don't worry - everyone is different

PinkyPromise77 · 14/01/2018 10:50

Thanks snowy1982. I’m such a worrier anyway and just reading yesterday about how it is a good sign that you are sick so was a bit nervous about it. I think probably the worry part never góra but this initial wait is so frustrating :/

PinkyPromise77 · 14/01/2018 10:51

Thanks coastalchick always helpful to know it could be few more weeks...

ThorsMistress · 14/01/2018 11:00

Regarding the sick feeling, I felt sick most of the day yesterday but today nothing.
Haven’t been sick yet just a feeling of it. By my dates I’m 5+2. I suffered with morning sickness with DS but didn’t start actually being sick until week 7-8. Trying not to worry. Still getting very minor cramps. Anyone else?

snowy1982 · 14/01/2018 11:06

@thorsmistress, I am still having cramps but they are a lot less frequent than they were a week or so ago

zooz · 14/01/2018 11:13

@PinkyPromise77 when I was pregnant with DC1 I felt nauseous early on but wasn't actually sick until 10 weeks. Everyone is different so try not to worry yourself Smile

I already know I'm going to need a nap today!

captaincake · 14/01/2018 11:16

Hi all, I think i'm 4+5 and due 18th Sep. Already booked midwife appointment for mid next month. Been getting dizzy when I stand up sometimes, assuming it's low blood pressure. Anyone else?

PinkyPromise77 · 14/01/2018 11:25

Thanks ThorsMistress I will try not to worry... and yes still mild cramps here too on occasion.

Captaincake yup moments of being dizzy. Happened to me yesterday when I got up too quickly and just randomly during the day...

cakeanytype · 14/01/2018 11:59

Hi guys thought I'd join ... af was due between Friday n today ... lots of positive tests .. due sept 23rd ... fifth bby x

Katsanddogs · 14/01/2018 12:08

Pleased to see you here cakeanytype 😊
I've been having the stabby pains dpwn one side too pinky. They were really bad the other night and really worried me but once i calmed down they eased off.
I've not had as much pain or nausea the last couple of days, probably because I'm off work and relaxing.
I'm ringing the midwives tomorrow.

PinkyPromise77 · 14/01/2018 12:35

Let me know what the midwife says Katsanddogs and hope all is ok x
