Hey everyone I thought I'd start a thread for September babies!

I've found out I was pregnant yesterday which was amazing! I'm a first time mum so I'm new to all of this, conceived cycle 2.

When should I contact GP to confirm pregnancy, has anyone got any advice this early on?

Good luck snowy1982 look forward to hear about your experience :)

GlastoFairy1 · 11/01/2018 08:15

So a new symptom has raised its ugly head this week - sudden itchy spots on legs, arms and torso which I suspect is atopic eruption. Does anyone else have this?? It's driving me up the wall!

claire7930 · 11/01/2018 10:01

Tentatively joining in here! Got a BFP on New Years Eve, due around 2nd September so just coming up to 7 weeks I think. It may not be a straightforward journey for us as I am a carrier of a genetic issue which I'll need testing at 11 weeks, so trying not to get too excited as it could be very bad news... but I have an early dating scan on Sunday morning so that we can establish exactly when I need to be having this test done, so hoping at least for good news & finding a HB etc at that point.

Hardheadedwoman39 · 11/01/2018 10:08

Hi @needahugbug the age gap between my first two is 20 months, they're now 10 and 12! It was hard work when they were little - double nappies etc but they're great friends Smile

I seem to be joining this sickness clan....mine is starting g at 3am!!

Pinkslink17 · 11/01/2018 10:15

Congratulations new comers and great to hear some of you have been able to see/hear baby already! Also suffering from nausea but managed not to vomit yet! (5w+5), however I seem to wake with diarrhoea every morning, TMI I know but has anyone else got this? It's especially bad this morning and I'm not sure if it's a bug or a symptom!

@Pinkslink17 I have it every morning it's apparently the hormones can cause it I also have ibs which makes me prone to it, does anyone else have a metal taste in there mouth? .

Fia256 · 11/01/2018 11:05

@Pinkslink17 I had that wit DC1, except for it was all day everyday for a good few weeks! I was miserable! I get the tummy ache side to it this time in the evenings and morning but not the end result!

@Helen290 I had the metal taste in my mouth the other day but not had it again since! first time in any of my pregnancies I've had it too!

PinkyPromise77 · 11/01/2018 11:26

Yup same here Pinkslink17 it was pretty bad today but I also suffered before with ibs.

Sore boobies and slight nausea but not expecting many/strong symptoms as I’m only 4+3...

Stellarbella · 11/01/2018 11:40

Just made an appointment to have the flu jab, as apparently it's something you ought to get if pregnant.

Helen290 · 11/01/2018 11:41

@Fia256 yeh that taste in my mouth just started day and my nausea is so much worse today I have felt sick all day so far 😩.

SC126 · 11/01/2018 18:37

Hi guys.
Just found out I'm pregnant due around 19th Sept if all goes well. I MC in October so already worrying and to top it off I'm full of a cold!

snowy1982 · 12/01/2018 07:15

Hi all, so exactly 6 weeks today and having my early scan on Monday, think it is going to be a long weekend as I am so anxious about it. Have a horrible feeling it isn’t going to go well. Rationally I know I have had no indications that it won’t, havent had a single bit of spotting, still having cramping but it eases as each day passes and it was never bad cramping anyway, still feeling nauseous every day (although no actual sickness yet) and boobs are starting to get tender. But I also know that just because I haven’t had any sign that something has gone wrong doesn’t mean that it hasn’t. My head is all over the place

Fia256 · 12/01/2018 07:41

@snowy1982 I know exactly how you feel. I'm 5+5 today, got my scan next Friday. I have all these irrational fears that it'll be ectopic or not measuring for the right date or no heart beat etc. I feel like I don't want to go to it, but at the same time, next Friday can't come quick enough so that I know everything is ok!

You kind of feel like you want to be scanned but without actually having to be there I find GrinGrin

CheekyPearl · 12/01/2018 07:51

@snowy1982 @SC126 this is a horrible limbo time. It's normal to worry about the unknown, especially when these are our children who are so long awaited and we know what can go wrong. Take comfort that you are not alone, we all are in similar boats.
I am also really worrying, but I have realised that I wouldn't be less devastated because I had not allowed myself to get excited. It's hard and tentative but I am trying to focus on being excited. And it is working, I'm getting there! Hope you can too! Sending love to you both xx

Helen290 · 12/01/2018 08:00

I spend most of my time worrying, I had my 6 week scan and it was perfect and I thought that would help the worrying but it hasn't at all lol now I'm just waiting for the next one, it's true tho keeping positive is the best way to be but it's bloody hard, this week has been hard for me I have terrible nausea all day every day this week and now slight back ache which has made me worry again 😩 hard to know what's normal.

snowy1982 · 12/01/2018 08:13

@Fia256 exactly, I want to know how the scan goes without actually seeing it. I know I will be so tense the scan will be extremely uncomfortable

@helen290, I fully expect that if the scan is ok it will only calm me down for a couple days, a week tops, and it will be back to worrying, think that is going to be my natural state from now on

@cheekypearl, I do allow myself some excitement but worry definitely overrides it Smile

Helen290 · 12/01/2018 08:24

@snowy1982 unfortunately it will be I have spoken to people much further along and they say the worrying never stops I did think it would be different I didn't even think of worrying but after an MC everything changes.

radio4junkie · 12/01/2018 08:31

Reading your posts is like reading inside my head!! I am trying not to get excited until I see a scan and am so nervous after a MC last May - no signs of MC but it’s constantly in my mind. 🤞for us all x

Helen290 · 12/01/2018 08:51

Anyone else getting Back ache? Not all the time on and off I'm 7 weeks.

coastalchick · 12/01/2018 11:18

Cautious about joining this thread. Got my BFP last night. EDD 23 Sept (2 days after I turn 40 - what a present if it sticks!). Miscarried (missed miscarriage) our first end of August.

Overjoyed at BFP whilst at the same time petrified

ThorsMistress · 12/01/2018 17:17

Can I join?

Got my BFP last night and then a digital confirmed 1-2 weeks. Going by the first day of my last period it makes me 5 weeks today. Going by an app on my phone i’m due 14th September

Scoobysue10 · 12/01/2018 17:25

Well got to see my little blob today.
Got sent to A&E as was having pain in my side.
All is well and baby where it should be 6wks +5.
Hoping it just stays as one and another one isn't hiding sone where. My hormone levels are way up in the 1000 instead of the normal 100.
Urine showed ketones so I have to give another sample to GP Monday to be sent off.
Something else to worry about.

snowy1982 · 12/01/2018 17:37

That’s great @scoobysue10, well not the pain but getting to see little blob

niclw · 12/01/2018 17:40

Congratulations to all of you just joining us. I'm 5 weeks today. Im really surprised that I've got all of my appts lined up - early scan in just under two weeks, midwife appt, and the dating scan at 13. I keep wishing the time away though. I seem to have lost all of my symptoms except tiredness and being hungry so I really want to see that first scan to check that there is something there. I've even looked around to see if I can find someone to have one this weekend but no where around here seems to be willing to do them till 7 weeks so I will just have to wait x

OverseastepMom · 12/01/2018 18:15

Fingers Crossed @coastalchick. I am a just turned forty too and this is my first.

Conratulations :)
