Hey everyone I thought I'd start a thread for September babies!

I've found out I was pregnant yesterday which was amazing! I'm a first time mum so I'm new to all of this, conceived cycle 2.

When should I contact GP to confirm pregnancy, has anyone got any advice this early on?

Dito with the knicker watch, have experienced no spotting at all but still obsessively checking each time I go to the toilet

Scoobysue10 · 09/01/2018 06:36

Great was sick this morning. Was really hoping I wouldn't get morning sickness.

FannyTheFlamingo · 09/01/2018 06:36

Hi everyone, I got my BFP on Christmas Day and due Sept 4th. I have a 13 month old DD as well. I've had no symptoms at all yet, just a bit of tiredness, but DD gets up at 5.30am so I'm always a bit tired!

polkadotpixie · 09/01/2018 07:14

Hi ladies, please can I join?

Got my BFP yesterday and I'm 4 weeks today 😊

This is our first baby and took 11 cycles to conceive, we were actually at the end of our fertility tests before being referred for treatment but I had a HSG in December and I think it must have cleared my tubes!

EDD 18.09.18

snowy1982 · 09/01/2018 07:50

Scoobysue is it bad that i’m a bit jealous of your sickness Smile as much as it is awful to be sick at least it’s a clear sign things are progressing well

niclw · 09/01/2018 08:08

I'm really glad that I haven't got any sickness yet. I keep going light headed and dizzy though. I'm a teacher and will probably be teaching from my chair today as a result. I'm not a fan of doing that but needs must x

snowy1982 · 09/01/2018 08:26

I do get queasiness but it’s not too bad so far.

Question to all on here.... I am a fan of getting my nails done, get biosculpture nails every month or so, have been reading some conflicting stuff online about whether it is save to do when TTC and when pregnant. I asked my IUI nurse and she said as long as I’m not sniffing acetone there shouldn’t be any problems but am still a bit anxious about getting them redone (due to make an appointment soon) does anyone know anything about this?

Scoobysue10 · 09/01/2018 10:23

Snowy1982. Was just the once this morning. Bless you I hope you get mothing sickness soon. Lol.
When I was pregnant with my first I still had a flat stomach at 5mth. I was super skinny back then. I had bump envy so bad.
Then by 6 mths my bump appeared lol.

Really hope it doesn't get bad like it did with my 2nd pregnancy.
I have been light headed at times never happened before.

PinkyPromise77 · 09/01/2018 10:31

Yay congrats to all of the new BFPs!!!! How exciting!!! 💖

I’m only 4 weeks & 1 day hehe so not much of any additional symptoms yet.

Ps. How far along will you be when you go for your early scan?

snowy1982 · 09/01/2018 10:35

Thanks scoobysue Smile

Oh I have another question for you all, this one is food related specifically cheese. Ok so I love cheese, esp Brie and goats cheese. I have come to terms with the fact that I shouldn’t be eating Brie right now, but am a bit confused about goats cheese and from research I think there are only certain types I can’t eat. So from what I can gather goats cheese is pretty much divided into ordinary and mound ripened. I have read that the ordinary stuff is fine to eat as long as is pasteurised (the one I buy is) and that the mound ripened stuff (which is normally what restaurants use) is ok if it is properly cooked, say on a pizza or a tart, but if uncooked, say on a salad, it isn’t.

Has anyone else heard this as well?

snowy1982 · 09/01/2018 10:36

BTW that should be mould ripened not mound ripened

MissSophieB397 · 09/01/2018 10:54

Can I jump on?

Got my bfp today I'm 4 weeks Thursday and my guesstimated due date will be 20th September 2018 ! So overwhelmed 💞

1st child and first cycle 💞

FannyTheFlamingo · 09/01/2018 10:58

@snowy1982 I get my nails done every 3 weeks, acrylics and then infills. I did during my last pregnancy and was never given any advice not to, so I'll be getting them done this time round too. I didn't eat brie last time but I did have goat's cheese. I didn't research it as much as you though, so I didn't know there was a difference!

snowy1982 · 09/01/2018 11:04

Thanks fannytheflamingo, I am probably just being paranoid about both, nurse at iui clinic said nails where ok so I should trust trust her. Might leave off with the goats cheese until I see her next Monday and ask her then

PinkyPromise77 · 09/01/2018 11:20

As for nails snowy1982... I do my own gels but haven’t researched it really if they are ok to do... good I’ve seen your question as I was wondering myself cause I need to do mine soon :)

Natataliejason · 09/01/2018 11:38

How come your going to close the group
Love this group xx

BaliBound · 09/01/2018 13:05

There seems to be 2 threads for September babies so I'll join this one aswell if that's ok.

I'm 26 and this dc1 for us both. Im 4w3d and got the bfp last night and were both so shocked as we thought we were out. Today the shock has died down and now we're just so excited!!! Will be doing a digi tonight to doubly confirm.

PinkyPromise77 · 09/01/2018 14:20

Yay BaliBound woooohooo! 🙌🏻

Katsanddogs · 09/01/2018 16:23

May I join too? Got my bfp yesterday. So excited and nervous.
misssophie we've got the exact same dates! Due 20/09/18.
Nice to see some familiar names over here.

Aries456 · 09/01/2018 17:23

Just found out today I am pregnant with #3! Bit of a shock as, although I am not back on the pill after my current baby, I didn't expect the 1 time Christmas nooky with DH would result in this - it took my 9 months to actively conceive #2! Due 15th and seeing excited and nervous all at once! Can't quite believe it! X

Llondbol · 09/01/2018 18:31

Congrats to all the September Mummies on here! Our first baby is due 1 September - we're almost 7 weeks!

We got our BFP Christmas morning 😍🎄 My fiancée and I love Christmas and I was so chuffed to get the BFP at 04.18 on the sly so I could give him his extra present (positive test, first Christmas bib and Man City 'baby on board' sign!). Little did I know he was planning his own surprise and he proposed to me that morning 😍 2018 is going to be a busy one!!

I've felt slightly nauseous once or twice and have had quite strong cramps 2-6 times a day/night since about week 3; tender boobs too. Can't wait for the appointment for the first scan!

BaliBound · 09/01/2018 19:35

@aries456 Thats my due date too Grin

@Llondbol I have cramping all the time atm, feels like AF will arrive at any second. I'm not even 5 weeks yet, does it continue into 7 weeks? Ugh!

No symptoms here except today I have been so thirsty, it's ridiculous!

MissMatthews · 09/01/2018 19:47

Hopefully if all goes well.. had some unwelcome symptoms.
Due 12th Sept occurring to calculator.

radio4junkie · 09/01/2018 19:59

Congratulations everyone! I’m due 1st September so 6 weeks +4 at the moment. A very pleasant surprise! I’ve had mild nausea and lots of cramping for the last two weeks. This will be my third child- I feel far more anxious this time though... or maybe I’ve just forgotten what it’s like!!
