Good morning ladies, honoured to join this group a this past Friday I got my BFP!! EDD 15th July 2018 but I know for a fact 29th October was the magic day. It's my first baby and completely took us by surprise as expected a few more months of trying as I'm 36 in December. I had to tell someone as I'm about to burst with excitement!! xo

lgh05 · 12/11/2017 06:14

Massive congratulations to all the new BFP!!! We have a secret Facebook if any new people want to join!!

Message @Unicornberry if you want to.

MissyEm · 12/11/2017 12:55

I can't seem to find @Unicornberry? Could you help me please.

AliBunny · 12/11/2017 17:44

Hi everyone,

I'm very nervously looking to join you all! Congrats to everyone who has had their BFP!!

I had my first BFP yesterday and again today had a very faint line..

I'm 30, this would be #1 for us so all very new and exciting..

To be completely honest, I'm terrified that this might not stick- trying to not get my hopes up but equally googleing everything.. which I think is a pretty bad idea in general!! Wink

According to Ovia, my due date would be July 22nd - feels so surreal writing that though...

peachesarenom · 12/11/2017 21:11

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to everyone! I'd like to tentatively join too please?

I'm 34. This will be #1 for me and DH. I'm way over excited. TTC 11 months.

I used an early detection clear blue and a first response.

AliBunny my due date is also 22nd July!

MissyEm · 12/11/2017 21:16

Congratulations @Alibunny and @peachesarenom! I am doing another frer in the morning just to check before calling the surgery. Crazy I know! Still feels like a dream!

peachesarenom · 12/11/2017 21:34

MissyEm oh I know. I can't quite believe it either!

AliBunny · 13/11/2017 07:01

haha due date buddies @peachesarenom !!

I was going to wait another week before I call the GP- am so scared it might be a CP (Google is a dangerous thing!).. when are you guys letting the doctor know..and have any of you been yet? Was it a helpful visit?

Sammyclaire22 · 13/11/2017 20:41

I went to the gp today with dh. She had only referred us the week before to the fertility clinic so was lovely to tell her it wasn't needed! All she did was a pg test and checked my bp. I had to book an appt with midwife (just over 2 weeks away) and had to call midwife too. Gp ran through the rough plan, basically nothing yet bar midwife appt until the dating scan around week 12.
Midwife wanted to know if I had any ideas about which local hospital I was thinking of (Good idea to do some research about what each offers). I mentioned I would prefer a home birth and she was so pleased. It really took a huge weight off my mind that she's so positive about it!

Buglife · 14/11/2017 07:25

Hello all, I took a test yesterday afternoon, and I seem to be pregnant! Wish I could date it accurately but I just know it was early october I had a period so I must be due in July. Half term was busy and I can't remember exactly! I'm 34 and this will be DC 2 as I have a 3 year old. This is a bit of a surprise for us as we only just started musing about having 2 as we were pretty set on 1 DC. I can't remember much at all about being pregnant so better get reading. V early days though and from what I remember nothing happens until at least 10 weeks (except for sleeping and being sick in my case!)

LP1989x · 14/11/2017 09:29

Hi ladies! How are we all doing? I've not posted on this thread for a few weeks, I'm now 7+1 and due around 2nd July! So far I've had 2 scans 🙈!! I was booked in for an early reassurance scan yesterday due to me having 2 previous miscarriages and I was on fertility drugs to conceive, I also had one last week because I had the tiniest bit of spotting and I freaked 😳!! So happy we have now seen our little baby's heart beating twice! What symptoms does everyone have?

hannahintheworks · 15/11/2017 09:47

Hi ladies,

Congrats to you all, can I joint the group?

I got my BFP on Saturday and am due on 22nd July too. This will be our second with a nearly 2 years old DS. Very excited but obviously have the usual worries. Will be booking an early scan so we can tell our family at Christmas, so want to be sure everything is going ok. I just can't help worry about an ectopic or something else going wrong. I did have some brown spotting on the day AF was due which I've read is normal, and nothing since so just taking it one day at a time. But I am so excited, this was our 4th month TTC so I'm glad it's happened relatively quickly.

Glad I've found some ladies due at the same time! Xx

Fakingit36 · 16/11/2017 02:08

Hi - I'd like to join too! I'm 37 and this is DC2. We have a DS who is nearly 5. Being pregnant with him seems forever ago. I work in a stressy job w long hours and am struggling w tiredness at 6.5wks. No sickness yet but expecting it to arrive ....

Sylv2017 · 16/11/2017 07:50

Hi all. I'd like to join 😊

According to NHS website due on 26.07.18.

So excited but nervous as it's such early days. AF would have been due today...

Moved house 6 months ago and having registered at new docs yet. Just been travelling back to mine.

Once registered do I book an appointment? Not sure what happens next!

Heyladies welcome to the group!
LP1989x I am 7weeks also (+5). Very jealous you have had scans already. I've just had my fist midwife appointment and have another 5 weeks until 1st scan! Feeling so nauseous all the time :( It's like having a hang over every day. Roll on second trimester I can't wait not to feel sick!

Deborah543 · 16/11/2017 15:52

Hi, this is my first mumsnet comment ever. Still learning the lingo and abbreviations. Lol

Age: 25
Baby #1 (two if count the dog)
Ttc: first try.
Bfp: 5/10
Due date: 15/07

Not been the best mentally, my DH had to buy me the pregnancy test. Felt much better mentally to since finding out.

Deborah543 · 16/11/2017 17:38

Hi, I'm really anxious as this is my first pregnancy and I've been to the GP a number of times for mental health reasons(which I'm off work with - excited to be going back on Monday), saying I may be pregnant. However, I'm yet to have my blood test or pressure taken and am worried I might be anemic as it runs in my family. It's hard to separate the mental health anxiety symptoms from pregnancy symptoms, but I've had migraines, insomnia and extreme tiredness, dizzy and light headed. Also, I work as a radiographer so have to disclose pregnancy immediately and everyone at work will know, I don't have the luxury of being able to wait for 12 weeks.

bathandpjs · 16/11/2017 18:38

Hi, Can I come and join?

I’m 32, first baby. Due 17/07 but I think it will be nearer end of July/August. Conceived first time.

So far all I’ve done is cry and moan about how much my stomach and back hurts.

bathandpjs · 16/11/2017 18:40

Deborah, did you get BFP on 5/11 or 5/10?

MissyEm · 17/11/2017 07:51

Congrats to all the new BFP!

I am only 4+2 first scan booked for week 7 due to type 1 diabetes. No symptoms but a few cramps now and then. Wish I felt more so I knew something was going on in there. Bring on the scan. Not telling people is already tough, wrong season not to have a glass of wine in your hand, work colleagues will be asking questions!!

canoechick · 17/11/2017 10:18

Hi I got a BFP yesterday (and again today !) so mind if I join? My current EDD would be about 25th July apparently :) (or perhaps 29th if go off ovulation date - cycle irregular but often 28 days but perhaps this would have been a longer one)
Haven't worked out the rest of lingo but essentially I'm 28 (DH is 29) and 13dpo and this would be our first if everything goes ok! Fingers crossed , early days yet!

Jolittle86 · 17/11/2017 14:24

Hi guys, if I’ve worked my dates out right I’ll be due 10th July... 6 weeks 5 days. Having a private early scan as I’m such a worrier... assuming the baby is fine I probably still won’t tell ppl until my scan on 28/12 providing everything’s ok.. I’m so worried I’m going to lose it or there won’t be a heartbeat. This is my first pregnancy I’m 31

Deborah543 · 17/11/2017 15:07

5/11. I got confused as my lmp was the 5/10.

Deborah543 · 17/11/2017 15:30

Had a cryee day today. I slept from 7pm until 630 am and woke up feeling really grouchy. Pretty much how I've been since trialing seraline from the gp but couldn't tolerate it. Had a proper cry when my husband said something small and he thinks I'm ignoring him when I'm actually just slow. I was going to meet a friend for breakfast but started crying again as I was struggling to scrape the car so called to cancel. Yesterday I had an occupational health where they have emailed my (male) manager and I texted a senior (female) colleague today who acted as manager when I struggled with my mental health last year. I've allready told close family as they were supportive and concerned when I had the issue with seraline so thought they had a right to know. Going back to work is now a big deal. I love my job, but they'll be no hiding my pregnancy as I will be wearing a radiation badge with a picture of a baby on it! Generally I'm better in the mornings, but not today. I am occasionally excited, but more often scared. I left the house today at 9:30 to get my hair cut at 10. That's near the hospital and I messaged a couple of people saying I'd pop in, but didn't have the confidence. When I went off work I tried going back but broke down in tears as soon as I walked in. Then last week, I popped into work twice, without my uniform and was fine but felt uncomfortable when I close college was asking about my moodswings I've been having. The problem is, the longer I leave it the harder it will be. And it's the dilemma of who to tell when.
