Hi all,

Can I join? Already on the July 2018 ante-natal club board but happy to have a finger in both pies...

7+1 I think
EDD: 10 July
Current status: Nauseous

Wicket2016 · 23/11/2017 00:00

Hi can I join? I'm already on the summer 2018 thread but it's always good to hear other people stories 🙂. Congratulations to everyone!
I'm 32 this is our first, I'm 6+4 weeks (I think). A bit overwhelmed at the min, I have no idea where to start what we'll need etc and am clueless about babies! Speak to the doctor tomo. Like everyone I think I feel better once we see a scan x

Panoramarama · 23/11/2017 08:09

Congrats and hello Wicket and Heregoes :)

Message to the sleep deprived, tried night time rainforest sounds last night. Kind of weird, there was an annoying frog throughout, but also kind of soothing. Like the meditation apps, not sure it did more than provide background focus to stop the mind from wandering so much. Maybe don't try this if you're at the crazy dreams stage...

Panoramarama · 23/11/2017 08:11

Oh and anyone else suddenly find that water tastes so so metallic and unpalatable?! Shock

BlueeSpottyTiger · 23/11/2017 10:00

Hello! Can i join :)
Firstly Congratulations to you all 💖

I'm on the July Antenatal thread also but it would be nice to chat to you ladies aswell.

I'm 25, I have a 21month old dd. I have been with my Partner since i was 15.
We've been ttc baby #2 since March/April. I had a early loss at 5 weeks in May and a mmc at 12+5 in Sep. So really crossing my fingers this little one makes it. I'm 6+1 at the moment and due around the 18th of July.
I have my first mw appointment booked in for the 6th of December.
And I've booked a private scan for 10+2 on the 22nd of December. If all goes well i hope to announce to my family on Chritmas Day.
I have suffered with HG in my pregnancies that have made it past 6 weeks and I'm already feeling really rotten and throwing up with this one so i won't be surprised if i have it this time too.

I hope your all well xx

Rainbowbright17, glad you managed to get a slightly better sleep. Here's some encouraging news...After weeks of hideous sleep, last night I fell asleep on the sofa after a long day at work (snuggled up to my son!) at about 7.40pm. I slept for an hour whilst hubby put son to bed, then I took myself upstairs to bed and slept from 9.15pm until 6pm with only waking up twice to pee!! Hooray!!! So there is hope. I think we just need to get utterly exhausted and then we will sleep...ha ha. I know that feeling of being anxious as I had a mc last summer and this is our first attempt since as I didn't want that hurt again. But after knowing now for 2.5 weeka of being pregnant, I'm starting to not think too much about it and trying to just think positive as my negative thoughts won't make any difference to any outcome, and only make me low. So, I'm thinking of throwing myself into Xmas shopping and my son's very busy social life that seems to be full of parties over the next few weeks...He's 7 on Monday!!! 😁

theruffles · 23/11/2017 11:15

Hello, could I join too please?

Age: 30
Baby: #1
TTC: 2 years
BFP: 10dpo on 22.11.17
Due date: around end July 2018

We got our BFP with a Clearblue digital test yesterday (same result on two tests) but it hasn't quite sunk in. I feel as if it's not true(!) and the tests will prove to be wrong somehow. We've been trying for 2 years and have been going through the infertility team at our local hospital since May. We've got an app to see the doctor this evening but I don't quite know what to do with myself Hmm

I've had some achey cramps most days this week, a sensitive chest (it almost doesn't feel like they're mine atm - does that make sense to anyone else?) and I've been very up and down moodwise (I couldn't stop crying the other day and didn't understand why!)

Glitterandunicorns · 23/11/2017 14:40

Hey ladies, Can I join you please?

Age: 36
Babies: an 18 month old son
TTC: over a year
Due date: July 27th

Just found out I’m pregnant yesterday! Only five weeks pregnant but the nausea, sickness and exhaustion is crazy already!

Fakingit36 · 23/11/2017 15:15

Hi!

Age:37
Babies: DS, nearly 5
Ttc: first month of it (yep lucky)
Due date: around July 11 but yet to see doc

So I am around 8 weeks and have known for 2. My major stress is that I am NOT sick. With DS I was in a heap at this point - terribly nauseated all day long, awful time just getting through work days. This time, I am extremely exhausted, huge boobs, face full of zits and low cramps by mid afternoon until I am next able to lie down (which is not great for long work days especially client meetings). I take these as positive signs that things are progressing but despite the meme that every pg is deferent I am bowled over by the huge difference. I still have an appetite and am eating fine, with just a bit of coffee aversion. I know you guys who are sick probably don't want to hear that. Maybe it could still come? Anyone have experiences of sickness arriving after 8 weeks? I would actually like to know because I have some toUgh work stuff coming in December and now assume I am going to be ok. Thanks friends.

Heregoeseverything · 23/11/2017 15:39

@Fakingit36 I don't know about the nausea coming later but you sound pretty pregnant to me with the symptoms you do have! Also just wanted to empathise on the acne... the reason I did a pregnancy test was that my face had erupted like a volcano...

Whatsgoingon4 · 23/11/2017 16:22

Hi this is my 3rd pregnancy and touch wood I’ve never had morning sickness ( or any sickness) I’m also 8 weeks today due on the 5july x

Tashyliza · 24/11/2017 05:12

@fakingit36 I really wouldn't worry, sounds perfectly normal to me. I can say from experience of the opposite. I am 7 weeks with second baby, have hideous neasea in the morning and middle of the night yet I had absolutely no neasea with my first pregnancy nearly 7 yrs ago. Also, my boobs have not hurt at all this time round (despite growing lots. ..yay!) yet first time round I could barely put a bra on for them hurting so much. So I think you are just very lucky not to be feeling sick, so try not to worry. It may never come!

theruffles · 24/11/2017 09:20

I've done 5 tests at home (Clearblue digital) which have shown as positive, but I went to the drs last night and they did a test to make sure of the result it was negative Sad. I've been for a blood test this morning which should clear it up, but it has felt like someone has come and rained on my parade...

The drs test seemed of a cheaper quality than the Clearblue ones I've brought. She gave me one of theirs to take home to try and that came up positive too with two lines this morning so I'm confused why it showed as negative last night. I'm wondering if the line on hers was either very faint or she didn't leave it long enough?

Either way, I'm hoping for a positive from the blood test!

Rainbowbright17 · 25/11/2017 17:43

@theruffles Hi, that is really disheartening. i'm by no means medical but I was once told by my surgery's nurse that you can get a false negative but never a false positive! So with that in mind, Congratulations! I'm sure the blood test will give you the result you're hoping for. Got my fingers crossed for you x

Rainbowbright17 · 25/11/2017 18:02

Hi @Tashyliza, thanks for the support & reassurance. I totally understand what you mean & my head agrees it's just my heart that gets in the way & makes me still a bit anxious. How're you doing with your morning (anytime) sickness? I'm finding it tough - feels much worse than previous pregnancies & it's all day. I hope you're finding some relief for yours. x

MissyEm · 25/11/2017 18:04

6+3 and feeling sorry for myself. Awful sore throat, tickly cough and nausea. Don't know what to do with myself. Feel down, it was a stressful journey to get here and now it's here I feel s**t! How is everyone coping?

Fakingit36 · 25/11/2017 20:17

@MissyM- I know, it's so hard in this early bit when time drags, you feel awful and you can't tell people. If men had this, we would all get 3 months off with full pay and special laws saying other people have to bring us hot water bottles and toast! I think the bottom line is that it WILL end. Just keep reminding yourself that and tick off each day. X

theruffles · 27/11/2017 09:23

Thank you @Rainbowbright17 - good news, the blood test came back positive!

MissyEm · 27/11/2017 09:35

Totally agree @fakingit36. The flu jab certainly hasn't worked this time round. Day 3 in bed Sad

Rainbowbright17 · 27/11/2017 13:54

@theruffles awww how wonderful! Congratulations! Delighted to hear your good news x

Lemontwist · 28/11/2017 18:31

Can I join in?

I got my BFP on Saturday!
Age 37
Due date approx. 28th July
2 DSs already.

How's everyone feeling? I very luckily sailed through my last 2 pregnancies with not a jot of morning sickness, I just remember getting pretty tired in the first few weeks. This time its a completely different story.

I very nearly threw up when getting ready for the school run this morning then spent most of the morning at work feeling nauseous. I couldn't even get through my coffee (this will be quickly noticed at work as everyone knows I'm a big coffee drinker) as it made me feel so sick.
I burst into tears (thankfully in private) at something really random. Other than that I have had a weird headache/pressure feeling and my mouth feels parched despite lots of water.

I know some of this may be because I'm a tad older now (youngest DS is almost 6) but please tell me these things will settle down!

Heregoeseverything · 28/11/2017 18:43

Hi @Lemontwist!

I'm 8 weeks today, and to celebrate I literally projectile vomited all over the train en route to a meeting this morning Blush Shock ...!!

hellybellyjellybean · 28/11/2017 18:51

Hey I'd like to join as well! Got my bfp in 8th November, am nearly 7 weeks. Just had my appointment through at the hospital for 2 weeks today, starting to feel incredibly real, eek!!

Lemontwist · 28/11/2017 18:52

Oh no Heregoes that must have been awful. Hope this sickness doesn't hang around long!

hellybellyjellybean · 28/11/2017 18:54

Also has anyone not felt particularly sick at this point? I'm worrying that I don't have worse sickness! Have been exhausted for the past 2 weeks or so but seem to feel more awake this week. Felt quite nauseous the last week or so but felt okay the last couple of days, I'm worrying that I don't feel worse and that the symptoms are not as bad as bad things are happening, this is so much harder than I thought it would be!
