Pregnant straight after miscarriage with no period

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience to me. I miscarried at almost 6 weeks on 17th Sept. After waiting a week I did a test and it was negative. I was pretty upset as this was my first pregnancy.

Today, I’ve done a test and it’s showing “Pregnant 2-3 weeks”. Has anyone else had an experience of becoming pregnant straight away again after miscarrying or going through the same now? And was/is all ok?

Hi firstly sorry for your loss but also congratulations.....I have a question for you ladies when you say you conceived straight after a miscarriage are you testing 4 weeks after the point you did a test stating negative or 4 weeks after you found out you miscarried. The reason why I am asking is that I have had a miscarriage and yet to receive my period yet it's been 5 weeks since I began bleeding (I know it can take a while to get your period back) I have had unprotected sex and I dont know if I'm clutching on straws here but just wanted some advise if anyone can help. I had a miscarriage on the 10th January, I've had no period and found out I'm preganant again. After ttc before the first mc it took a year so to find out so soon I'm pregnant again has been a beautiful shock. However, I'm so scared! I cant enjoy it, I'm going off to the toilet every 5 minutes to see if everything is still ok. I'm loosing my mind. I have 3 other healthy children so I know how blessed and lucky I am but the fear is still there!

I tested just a week after mc and was negative, I then took another at the 2 week mark still negative, one a week ago negative. Then 2 positives since. No bleeding since the mc. Hope that helps?

Last month I was on 50mg of Clomid to conceive. It worked and I became pregnant, unfortunately I had a miss carriage at 6 weeks. I am just wondering is it possible to get pregnant straight away after a miss carriage, if you have polysistic ovaries.

Hi I’m wondering if anyone has any advice? I currently had a natural MC on the 20th March , I was 16+3 my little boy only measured 13weeks they reckoned. I’m 3 weeks post MC and D&C and still getting positive pregnancy test , I also know this could be HCG levels falling, I was at the doctors yesterday for bloods and another test as feeling horrible, he called today saying everything came back positive and my HCG level is 36 ... he said it’s a possibility of a new pregnancy but he wasn’t 100% .. I took a cheapy test which had a very faint line and also a CB digital which said not pregnant ... I am so so confused. Would my hcg not start dropping 6 weeks ago when the baby actually died inside me??

Last July we started to try, i only had 2 periods when i got to Feb so i started a convo with my GP. I tested high for testosterone so that mixed with irregular periods they advised PCOS. Had a scan early March which confirmed all was good.

Got Preg! wasn't until early April but i had sore breast which i had never experienced and 'felt preg'. I stopped feeling this way around 7 weeks and miscarried at 10 weeks.

I tested for HCG 2 weeks after the MC and it was negative so started the OPK. seemed to get a positive exactly 14 days after BFN. I am now 11dpo and i do not have sore breasts but something is up. prob with the symptins is because i was so irregular before i do not know how far into the Pregnancy i started to get symptoms...

Could i be PG? (we have been DTD since day 7 post MC. Could symptoms differ that drastically between pregnancies so close together? or am i just wishing it into existence. further to this to back up my feelings and sorry is for TMI but 8 and 9 dpo i had light brown cm, and then on the morning of day 10 a small fleck of red/pink blood. which has since just stopped, with slight cramping. Help!

I don't know whether it's too soon to test and risk a false Neg... i know it's going to hurt.

@888cht hope you did get your BFP, just wondering how you went! I am in the same boat had miscarriage on 23/7/20 and I felt ovulation symptoms around 11/8 and got the stick to test I was definitely ovulating so dh and I did it on the 13/8 and again 15/8 . I feel little cramps now and boobs are getting sensitive.. wondering if I am pregnant Hope I will get BFP soon and baby dust for all of us...

This is exactly the way my nephew was conceived. He is now a healthy happy 2 year old!

I had a miscarriage 3.5 weeks ago (16 dec) , natural at 9 weeks exactly. I bled for 5 days then stopped.
I was due to have my internal scan 2 weeks later but tested positive for covid so it’s now booked for this weds .... I have taken 3 pregnancy tests over the last couple weeks to check for negative but have all been positive and last one 6 days ago and have a faint positive.
Have been tracking ovulation for a couple weeks too and have had solid smiley faces with clear blue and the actual dark blue lines have been super dark too. Today I took a pregnancy test as have some early pregnancy symptoms and the line is as clear as day! Could this be a new pregnancy ? Or is that not possible seeing as I’ve not had a negative pregnancy result since I had miscarriage?

@Mammaofgirls sorry to hear about your miscarriage it’s such an awful experience for anyone to have to go through.
I am by no means an expert however have been through two recent miscarriages and am on another thread (support following miscarriage MMC) so I’ve picked up a few things.
I was told with mine to wait for a negative pregnancy test and that would show all the previous pregnancy hormones and ‘products’ as they call them had gone. I think HCG levels take a while to fall if you were 9 weeks whereas when I was only 5.5 weeks and miscarriaged they must have fallen quickly as I got a negative test 7 days after. Hopefully EPU will scan you to check what’s going on and then you’ll have some answers. Would hate for you to get your hopes up and it’s still the HCG from before xxx

We are TTC since March 2020 with no luck..
I did a test today and this is what I got! Can you see a line or I am going crazy! My period is not due until 17/1 in 2 days !

Hi all, hopefully this thread is still active! Reading all your stories makes me hopefully! I miscarried last week at 6 weeks :( looks like everything is coming away nicely though and no complications! Had blood test 5 days ago and hcg level was 80 so I’m going to test in two days and hopefully it’s negative. I’m really keen to get pregnant again ASAP and reading some stories they have had successes right after mc without next period so should I just go for it? Going to track ovulating to thanks in advance

@Jpascoe1 sorry to hear of your loss. I was told by a gynaecologist that you’re more fertile after a miscarriage and I fell straight away although this ended in a miscarriage on reflection I don’t think I had got rid of everything and that was naivety on my part really so if you’ve had a decent bleed and your levels are going down I would say go for it. They only tell you to wait at EPU for your first period for dating purposes and never told me to wait for a period for health reasons xx

I have sat here and read every story on this thread and I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you for sharing your stories.. you have no idea what a support reading them has been.

I am SOO sorry for all of your losses!

I had a 8wk mmc 6/1/21, bleeding stopped after 5 days, then started again 6 days later for 4 days. After reading all of your posts I decided to start trying again straight away, and using the technique of one of the first few posters we are going for the ‘every other day’ method as well as using ovulation tests, fingers crossed!

This thread has given me soo much hope and made me feel more positive when feeling really low, thank you ladies xx

This site is so good for helping ladies who are trying to find hope when they are at their lowest point following a loss.
