I'm not opposed to giving her formula so may well see if that helps, she did have the occasional bottle when she dropped loads of weight after birth and it didn't make much difference to her sleeping but it might now she is a bit bigger.

We had a good night last night, LO slept all night in her cot and woke at 2.30 and 5.30 for feeds, a vast improvement! Smile

lydiangel83 · 17/12/2017 09:28

@NC1990 glad u had a better night :) we've had a shocking few nights and DH and I bickering a lot :( desperate for a decent sleep, the only way to get her to sleep last night was let her suckle on me for about an hr after each feed, I'm so sore today :-/

@Bobbiepin not much to do other than Calpol but don't plan anything after, day at home with film and snugs ! Jack was just really clingy, he was just dosing on me or DH all day.

Bobbiepin · 17/12/2017 16:11

@Thelionqueen Thanks, got nothing else on for the day, just me and DD until DH comes home.

Bobbiepin · 19/12/2017 16:02

Had the jabs this morning, she spat out most of the Calpol and has cracked a fever. We had a couple hours of sleep after and a little feed but now she's very upset. Got her to sleep on the sling but with just her vest on so she's not over heating. This is heartbreaking.

NC1990 · 19/12/2017 17:52

Aww poor toot @Bobbiepin, not looking forward to DD getting her jabs first week in January 😥 Hopefully your LO is back to normal soon.

Bobbiepin · 19/12/2017 19:16

Thanks @nc1990 she calmed down pretty quickly after the jabs but this afternoon has been very difficult. I would recommend having cold, easy to eat food readily available for you. I've had two bowls of cereal today because I can't put her down to eat properly and she's not stopped crying unless she's strapped to me and asleep. I didn't want to drop hot food on her!

lydiangel83 · 20/12/2017 07:37

@Bobbiepin sorry to hear that it doesn't sound much fun. Not looking forward to our jabs next week :(

Is this Calpol special baby one or is normal Calpol ok?

She's been much better today. The sling was a saviour last night, and skin to skin helped bring her temperature down. She perked up a bit after DH came home (typical). She's been fussy eating and sleepy but much better.

@lydiangel83 there's infant Calpol, its for 2 months +. You cant use the regular stuff, its like double the dose.

ew1990 · 24/12/2017 01:06

Hope all you lovely ladies have a fab Christmas with your little ones 😘

NC1990 · 24/12/2017 22:21

You too @ew1990! Hoping DD will be on good form tomorrow as she's had a particularly fussy few days. Of course it will be special nonetheless Smile

Hopefully next year I'll be able to fully enjoy the run-up to Christmas, I love this time of year ❤️

ew1990 · 24/12/2017 22:32

NC DD had a fussy couple of days but she's been ok today, it's my birthday as well tomorrow so hoping I get an easy day 😂

NC1990 · 24/12/2017 23:48

Good luck 🙈 and happy birthday for tomorrow! X

Bobbiepin · 25/12/2017 07:20

Merry Christmas girls & happy birthday @ew1990

Bobbiepin · 28/12/2017 06:40

So I've been up with DD since 4.50, she's fed, she's pooped, she fell asleep on me and then woke up as soon as I put her back in her basket. She eventually fell asleep (whilst I ate a bowl of porridge) then DH lets out a single snore and guess who is awake again. His alarm goes off in 20 mins. Even if I can get her to sleep again it won't last long!

ew1990 · 28/12/2017 06:50

@Bobbiepin we've had a few nights like that, I finally get her to sleep and if I do manage to get her down in her cot she jumps in her sleep and wakes herself up! Tonight is the first night in ages that she's slept in Moses basket 12-5 had a feed and gone back down, I'm hoping to get another couple of hours before she wakes up again

lydiangel83 · 28/12/2017 12:48

We love our sling, I actually worry we have her in it too much! Liliana had her injections today, all seems ok so far and she got her own back by doing the biggest poo ever, it almost hit her neck!

We have injections a week on Monday,

I was thinking about @MSH2010 today and her twins (hope I've tagged the right person)

MSH2010 · 29/12/2017 00:24

Awww thanks Ew. I hope everyone is well. Sorry I've been so absence. I left my husband 11 weeks ago and Moved back in with my parents. I'm so much happier and the twins are doing great. We got discharged from neonatal care today with was pretty sad as the lady has been my rock.
We are now 19 weeks (11 weeks corrected) weighing 11lb5 and 13lb13 not bad for 32 weekers that weighed 3lb8 and 4lb5 xx

ew1990 · 29/12/2017 00:30

Wow they are doing well! So pleased for them 😊

Glad to hear your doing well too x

Bobbiepin · 29/12/2017 08:44

@ew1990 have you tried swaddling? Dd used to do that and a swaddle helped a little. Now she likes to sleep with her arms above her head so a swaddle is out the window. Did you get any more sleep?

@lydiangel83 I'm so glad she seems to be doing ok. Hopefully the rest of the day stayed like that? Poop revenge is the best kind of revenge 😂

@msh2010 you are amazing, so brave. So happy to hear your babies are doing well, maybe its time to put the past behind you and move forward?

lydiangel83 · 29/12/2017 09:25

Well done @MSH2010 for doing what's best for you and your children, and pleased to hear your babies are doing so well xx

lydiangel83 · 29/12/2017 09:26

A friend swears by swaddling but Liliana likes to wave her arms around. Is that even more of a reason to swaddle? At 8.5 wks I feel I may have missed the boat on doing it! If not too late would I put her hands down by her sides?

NC1990 · 29/12/2017 09:44

Does anyone else feel like they might drop dead from exhaustion, or is it just me? I am so, so tired I can barely function. I thought we were finally seeing some improvement with DD's sleeping as she's generally better during the night than in the day, but last night she screamed from 7pm-midnight, slept till 2.30 then cried on and off till 6am. Honestly so fed up of this and any sleep I do get seems to make me feel worse! I am having a bit of a pity party for myself as you can tell 🙈 She is still waking every 2 hours to feed (day and night), which I know can be normal, but at 7 weeks I had naively hoped for slightly longer in-between as so many other babies seem to manage 4-5 hour stretches.

lydiangel83 Layla doesn't like being swaddled either, she wriggles until she gets her arms free then if by some miracle she goes to sleep, she waves them around and wakes herself up 🙄

ew1990 · 29/12/2017 14:08

@Bobbiepin she sleeps with her arms at the side of her head, the only place she would sleep last night was her changing mat 🙈🙈 she did 7-11 had a bottle then did 12-5. I had to sleep on sofa coz when I tried putting her in Moses basket she screamed put her back on changing mat she went sleep
