@NC1990 the reason I ask is that jack did the same and we took him to the doctor who suggested he was lactose intolerant and we have been on a prescribed formula for almost 4 weeks now and he is so much happier! Now he just pukes all the time 😂

TheLionQueen1 · 07/12/2017 16:05

@lydiangel83 GO!! Have a lovely time and relax! I've left jack for one night and am going away for a weekend ( 2 nights) in Jan. Catch up on some well needed sleep!

NC1990 · 07/12/2017 17:59

HV thinks it's silent reflux so have been prescribed baby Gaviscon to try, then will move onto ranitidine if that doesn't work. We were having a better day today but the screaming has started again in full force. Think I'm in for a long night.

@lydiangel83 I'm sure you'd be fine to go, it's only 3 days and obviously not something you can postpone!

ew1990 · 07/12/2017 18:19

@lydiangel83 go and enjoy yourself!

@NC1990 hopefully the habits on works and the screaming doesn't last for much longer.

Can I ask a daft question? Do you ladies dress your LO's in proper outfits like everyday? I see all these pics on Facebook and stuff and people dress them up everyday! I dress izzy In baby grows (she's 5 week old tomorrow) unless we are going out then I put proper clothes on. I feel like I'm not making an effort but baby grows are so much easier when you have so many changes a day

TheLionQueen1 · 07/12/2017 18:32

@ew1990 jack wears an outfit every day, normally leggings, and baby grow at night am trying to get him to differentiate between day ad bed time 😂 don't know if it works but he's getting into a proper routine now, just struggling with 4/5am onwards!

ew1990 · 07/12/2017 18:48

I try to separate day and night time by swapping the baby grow to a pair of pyjamas 😂😂 we've been out everyday this week so she's been dressed but like tomorrow if We are having a day at home I'll just keep baby grows on.

NC1990 · 07/12/2017 21:04

@ew1990 Layla is 4 weeks old tomorrow and she hasn't been in a single outfit yet 🙈 she is always in babygrows. I do have a few cute little outfits in the next size up so looking forward to putting her in them, I'm just too lazy right now 😄

ew1990 · 07/12/2017 21:13

They do look cute in little outfits but at this age I just find it loads of hassle when you have a nappy change every god knows how often and she's got a habit of weeing as soon as the nappies moved I've gotta be like a ninja 😂😂

NC1990 · 07/12/2017 21:46

Oh yes, just when I think there can't be any more pee, out it trickles! She also has a habit of farting when we take her nappy off, often makes the dogs jump!

Bobbiepin · 07/12/2017 23:06

Dd is in baby grows 24/7 its so much more convenient and she looks so cute. She'll have plenty of time for outfits when she's older. I have adorable leggins and jumpers etc ready for when she's big enough but she is good in the grows for now.

Squigglefish · 08/12/2017 15:37

My baby girl is in babygrows all the time too.
@lydiangel83 go, it'll be lovely 😊

Did anyone suffer a tear? I had to go to the doctors today because ive been getting pain. Turns out my wound is open (wtf) and i've been given antibiotics. I'm gutted, convinced its never going to heal. Baby will be 4 weeks on Monday and i just want to start enjoying doing things with her.

ValentineFizz · 08/12/2017 17:32

Mostly babygros here too at 5 weeks old, he has 3 outfits which are only worn when going visiting suitably important folks! 😂

lydiangel83 · 08/12/2017 21:06

Thanks @Squigglefish I am sorry to hear about your wound. I had a tear and stitches but healed fine thank goodness. I have had antibiotics for mastitis, UTI tho and can still not sit on hard chairs due to coccyx pain. I am desperate just to feel like normal again!

Pain, tiredness and a whole new world to learn are taking their toll on my mood and therefore DH. I feel bad because he does try but just thinks / works very differently to me and so I get frustrated even when he tries his best. I have told him tonight I’m sleeping in spare room and he has baby all night, can feed her EBM and I will express as I need to. I just need to sleep and a break,

NC1990 · 09/12/2017 23:37

@lydiangel83 I know how you feel re needing a break. My DH has baby tonight as I'm at breaking point with her crying. She has been screaming for the last 5 hours and shows no signs of slowing down. Everyday feels like a nightmare. Not what I expected motherhood to be like!

ValentineFizz · 10/12/2017 00:05

@lydia and @NC1990 thinking of you both tonight and hope you manage to get some well deserved rest Brew Cake Flowers

Bobbiepin · 11/12/2017 22:18

How was everyone's weekend? Hope you've all had some sleep

ew1990 · 11/12/2017 22:23

@Bobbiepin my DP does the night feeds Friday and Saturday nights, I didn't get up yesterday till 11:30!!

ew1990 · 11/12/2017 22:23

Hope your well?

lydiangel83 · 12/12/2017 05:21

Hi all we had tongue tie diagnosed and divided yesterday so keeping everything crossed that that helps feeding as it’s my last resort. Of course now I am paranoid that the tongue tie wasn’t actually that bad (a lot of people said it wasn’t) and that the woman just said it was to get an extra £60 out of us. Seems unlikely I think/ hope but you know how it is with worrying unnecessarily as a parent!!

NC1990 · 12/12/2017 08:20

That sounds wonderful ew1990 😄

lydiangel83 hopefully the procedure helps your LO, I'm with you on the worrying! I've had Layla at the chiropractor twice now (they run a baby drop-in clinic), no idea if it'll help with her crying but she is bringing up wind much better now. DH reckons it is a coincidence but I'm trying to convince myself the £60 I've spent was worth it!

Starting ranitidine today, fingers crossed it helps a little 🙏

H24x · 12/12/2017 13:27

Hello I'm 37+4 due 30/13/17. Had a stretch and sweep on Sunday Shock o my Lord not what I was expecting and no sign of little one yet x

NC1990 · 12/12/2017 15:37

H24x I didn't have to have a sweep thankfully but it doesn't sound terribly pleasant!

Having a chilled afternoon here, little Layla being guarded by her 'big brothers'.

I've got a staffy he's the same never far from me ! It was awful I'm booked in with consultant Friday so hopefully know what's going on then x

mrsjkerry · 12/12/2017 17:18

Does anyone have a sling? I have a few of the material ones and I can see how they're useful around the house but does anyone else use them at any other point? WhT about outside the house!?

Bobbiepin · 12/12/2017 20:13

Ew1990 that sounds like a great set up. DH gives DD a bottle at night but she always wants to feed from me after so it helps a little but not a huge amount.

@mrsjkerry I have a sling, one of the tie around ones (it's not particularly stretchy bit I think its similar to what you mean). I thought I would use it all the time but I really don't. If we're in the house and She's not on me or DH then DD is either in the sleepyhead or playing on her mat. It's quite useful for supermarket shopping so you can have a trolley and both hands but other than that I've not used it much.
