@DarcyParty l was all bump and nothing elsewhere and it's really gone now, apart from a wee bit flab st my tummy. My boobs are quite impressive due to breastfeeding and my stitches feel like they're healing ok. Only thing really irritating me is l seem to have a pile and it's quite annoying 😶

lydiangel83 · 13/11/2017 23:33

@DarcyParty I’m a bit chunkier all over but belly almost gone right down, with a layer of fat on like I had before lol

Squigglefish · 14/11/2017 08:53

Thank you lovelies, no mane yet. We actually been too tired to discuss it properly. Midwives took her last night for a few hours, I'm getting a transfusion today so will be feeling much better after that.
She was 8lbs 15oz, very squishy haha xx

mrsjkerry · 14/11/2017 10:56

Think I will request a sweep today. Been up since 5am sick and just want this over with !!

Thanks for the insight ladies, looking forward to sleeping on my front again if the bump goes away quickly!

@mrsjkerry good luck with the sweep, it really doesn't hurt imo, just uncomfortable.

Ive just had my second sweep half an hour ago, still 2cm and the cervix still needs to soften, but it's very low 😤 Induction booked for Sunday morning.

It was a different midwife and I told her what the last one said about not having sex, and she laughed her head off. Said have as much sex as you want, sperm softens the cervix haha. 🙄

mrsjkerry · 14/11/2017 15:19

No sweep for me. Cervix too high up. Has anyone had this happen to them and still gone into labour!?

What's everyone done regarding storage? For things like nappies, wipes etc, the bulky stuff? I remember by auntie having a large wicker basket with a lid and thinking it was genius but I have nowhere to put one! Debating putting everything in babies room for now as he will be in with us anyway but it looks a bit messy Blush all of our drawers are full with organised drawers for his clothes and bedding etc but debating having an essentials unit for downstairs too?

ew1990 · 14/11/2017 16:44

I've got an ottoman in the living room with nappies wipes spare clothes etc and then the rest in babies room as she's in with us, I haven't had time to organise it yet but think we are finally settling into a routine so fingers crossed, I had it all sorted but then people bought more stuff round lol

Jessiecat27 · 14/11/2017 16:48

ew1990 that's the sort of thing I would like! Just sorted a few drawers but my maternity and breast pads have just filled them 🙈 might have to have a move around and see where else I can put everything!

ew1990 · 14/11/2017 19:03

Jessie it's just a small leather square one from b&ms. Doesn't take up much room I have it at the side of my tv cabinet

Jessiecat27 · 14/11/2017 19:39

ew1990 great thank you I'm going to get one! (:

ew1990 · 14/11/2017 20:29

Makes the daytime so much easier knowing it's all in there,

This LO let me sleep for four hours straight last night Grin

DarcyParty · 14/11/2017 20:34

I just had a contraction 😲 Not fun!!

ScotsLamb · 14/11/2017 20:51

Exciting @DarcyParty I hope it means baby will be here soon.

ew1990 · 14/11/2017 20:54

Oooh @DarcyParty keep us updated

@mrsjkerry any sign yet?

DarcyParty · 14/11/2017 21:09

Just lowkey constant period pain now, I'm on edge waiting for it to ramp up again 😖 I hope they don't fade away, I want this baby out!

mrsjkerry · 14/11/2017 21:19

Nothing @ew1990

Still gutted about failed sweep and thinking I maybe in for a very overdue baba

Interestingly I have some bloody discharge/mucus when I wipe this morning.

Is this normal? Or should I be phoning the triage....?

OP posts:
DarcyParty · 15/11/2017 08:51

@mrsjkerry :o :o sounds like a bloody show? Phone them if it puts your mind at rest though. Exciting!

DarcyParty · 15/11/2017 08:52

that was meant to be a : O

mrsjkerry · 15/11/2017 08:53

I dunno if it’s maybe just from the failed sweep. I’m not worried if it’s normal !!! 😬

OP posts:
DarcyParty · 15/11/2017 09:09

Have you googled some pics of bloody show? Absolutely give them a ring if you're worried x

mrsjkerry · 15/11/2017 09:12

Yeh I did just google. There’s nowhere near as much mucus as in those pictures! It’s almost like my period is about to start I guess.

OP posts:
TheLionQueen1 · 15/11/2017 09:55

@mrsjkerry definitely sounds like your show, mine was only quite slight. Very good sign labour is on the way! Fingers crossed for you!

mrsjkerry · 15/11/2017 11:34

I phoned the maternity unit and they said it’s likely just after bleeding from the sweep and nothing to get my hopes up about! Nevermind 😏
