@NC1990 congratulations! Look at all that hair! 😍

lydiangel83 · 12/11/2017 07:03

Congratulations @NC1990 she is gorgeous! Your story sounds a lot like mine, I hope you’re feeling ok. I think I was genuinely shocked for a few days!

ScotsLamb · 12/11/2017 08:12

TheLionQueen1 · 12/11/2017 10:35

Congrats @NC1990 !! Beautiful little girl, hope you're doing well!

Bobbiepin · 12/11/2017 11:41

Congratulations @NC1990 sounds like you did an amazing job. Baby is beautiful.

NC1990 · 12/11/2017 11:54

Thanks all ☺️ It's very surreal but amazing. I was born with a head of hair just like her 😁

mrsjkerry · 13/11/2017 08:50

Still no baby for me! 40+4 now. I know it’s not that overdue but I’m really starting to panic she’s never coming out and I’m also terrified of things going wrong now. Keep dreaming I lose her.

Anyone got any reassurance...anyone else overdue...anyone know anyone overdue...etc??

OP posts:
Bobbiepin · 13/11/2017 09:10

@mrsjkerry lots of my NCT group are overdue. Baby will come when ready, just make lots of appointments, get your hair and nails done. If you've got plans and things to do you're bound to go into labour!

DarcyParty · 13/11/2017 10:23

@mrsjkerry same here :( I've been trying to invoke Sod's law- put up the Christmas tree, dyed my hair, etc. Nothing.

Ive got another sweep tomorrow morning, but I have a feeling you'll beat me in the baby race :D

DarcyParty · 13/11/2017 10:32

@mrsmjkerry forgot to ask- how many days over does your hospital induce? It's 40+10 here. It helps me to think that that's the latest I'll have to wait before I meet her ( give or take a few days) 😊

mrsjkerry · 13/11/2017 11:22

Walked 7km over the weekend. Sex three times! Swam for over an hour and a half. Nothing is shifting her 😄

I think you can get to 42 weeks here before they induce. 40+10 and id only have 6 days left!! 😬 hurry up honey baby

Still waiting here too @mrsjkerry. Baby is now fully engaged and the pressure is immense but apart from that, no signs that he’s on his way. Next Midwife appointment is next Monday (41+4) so 11 days overdue and I’ve already been warned by her that, that’s when the pressure is on to accept induction, which I really, really don’t want to do!

mrsjkerry · 13/11/2017 14:42

That’s why I’m accepting the sweep. If I have it now there’s more chance of labour before they start pressuring to induce...

I totally get what you mean about the pressure! Sometimes I can hardly stand up straight and hobble to the loo clutching my belly and hunched I’ve 😄

Here she is, after a 30 hour labour, our little baby was born at 5.03am this morning.
She had to be delivered by forceps in the end because she was back to back and we were both getting tired. Lost a lot of blood and am exhausted but we can't believe she's finally here, We are in love xx

ScotsLamb · 13/11/2017 16:37

Baby @Squigglefish is so squishable and cute! Well done with 30 hours of labour.
Hope you are doing well after losing so much blood.

lydiangel83 · 13/11/2017 16:43

TheLionQueen1 · 13/11/2017 19:59

She's gorgeous @Squigglefish! Congratulations and hope you're doing ok (I lost 2ltr of blood as well so feel your pain) x

DarcyParty · 13/11/2017 20:24

Can I ask those who are lucky enough to have given birth recently- how has your body changed after birth? Have you still got a bump, etc?

ew1990 · 13/11/2017 20:37

@DarcyParty my bump went pretty much straight away - I've just got a little bit of a flabby stomach, I never put weight on anywhere else apart from bump though

@Squigglefish congratulations! She's gorgeous
