Your 3 favorite Girls names?

I have been trawling name websites and we are still undecided on a girls name, we have a couple of likes but have not found one that we are really happy with. I know there are lots of name threads all the time but if you don't mind disclosing your 3 favorite girls names just something may catch my eye.

Alternitively, any suggestions. We live in France so a name that would work both well in the UK and here would be good. We have a Harrison and a Maddie now and we have a boys name sorted.

I really like Electra but DH was having none of it.

I like Madeleine, Angelique and the way the French pronounce Anges (Anyes). Phoebe is lovely (but a bit tainted after Friends). I'd like to go for Alva personally, or Amandine. I'm really stuck for names at the mo, so I hope more inspiration comes soon. A colleague suggested Nayla, or Maeva, which are lovely, but wouldn't get past DH.

I think you're right , no-one will have heard of it but it's still a lovely name, don't you think? Do you know it from Cameroon? I know it from Tanzania.

skiddadle, dh is Kenya born and we have spent a lot of time there and in Tz, Uganda, Ethiopia. Its a very pretty name, just not sure it would go with our surname which is very British

Oh, skidaddle, everyone will be singing her that song - Malaika, nakupenda Malaika...

It's a tempting name nonetheless.
