Your 3 favorite Girls names?

Mrsjaffabiffa · 07/04/2007 13:50

I have been trawling name websites and we are still undecided on a girls name, we have a couple of likes but have not found one that we are really happy with. I know there are lots of name threads all the time but if you don't mind disclosing your 3 favorite girls names just something may catch my eye.

Alternitively, any suggestions. We live in France so a name that would work both well in the UK and here would be good. We have a Harrison and a Maddie now and we have a boys name sorted.

Thanks

lol MJB

My ultimate favourite girl's name is Charis. I love the Celtic spelling Carys... but when I first saw the name it had the CH spelling.

I love it, every time I hear it, call it (whether in my loving dulcet tones or my "oh boy are you in trouble now!" tone)

I don't have a DD (yet) and DH doesn't like any of the above, but if I just had it my way these would be amongst my top choices! Also like Lucie, and Cait.

Littleeasterlapin, Yes twas I. It was Macie/Macy though. Which we have decided Marcie would be better. I asked my French MW about it and she said that it wasn't a name she knew and splet Macie they would say Marcie. I'm just unsure as I think it is a bit close to Maddie.

Thanks for all the others. I like Darcie, dh doesn't , I love Madeline and Mathilda but both too close to Madison/Maddie, Harriet is one of my fav girls names but thats why I have a Harrison he would have been Harriet, I love Hatti. Martha was suggested on my Macie post and I like it (so does my mum but dh and Dad do not.) boo hoo.

We only get 3 days to register a birth here so it's quite important to have a short list for when they arrive.
Hope it's a boy as that one is easy.

My ds loves Lola.

He wants lola for a girl and Charlie for a boy, I wonder where he gets those names from.
