Hi all....long story short. 39+5 with DC2. PainfulBH for 1.5 weeks, back pain, pooping....I could go on. I had a sweep almost a week ago, made me bleed a bit not much else. Was 2cm but still hard cervix. What is going on?? Any tips to get it going? We DTD this morning, heaps of RLT, I even pulled out the breast pump and have been using it intermittently. Will give another go later. I was induced 9 days late with my first. Please don't let that happen again!!!

Just popping in to say congratulations chelle! What wonderful news! Flowers and wishing you all the best sasmac - you're almost there!!

All fine over here, we were discharged less than 24 hours after the operation which I was a bit Confused about as I am still in a lot of pain (and paracetamol/ibuprofen isn't quite cutting it - give me some proper drugs!!) But it is lovely being at home and DD is feeding/sleeping like a champion.

Can't wait to hear about all your lovely squishy new babies who will be here very soon! Smile

Haha I just re-read my comment on page 4 where I was excited about being discharged the next day - I think I was high on very strong painkillers and couldn't feel a thing at that point Grin

Hey ladies....gave birth to our beautiful son at 1.44am this morn after starting first contractions at 7.20pm. I begged for epidural but their was no time! I got to the hospital at 11.30pm to be told I was 3cm and couldn't cop at home anymore as they were.2 mins apart and 40-50sec long from the beginning! ...wtf?!? i was so disappointed thinking i couldnt handle it. Turns out its just how my body does labour. But was 10cm by 1am. It was very fast and furious and survived on gas alone. How you other ladies.goinga??? Xx

Hey ladies,

Can I join? I'm 40 + 3 and no sign of labour- no braxton hicks...no mucus plug...nothing! This is my second DD and have a gut feeling I'm to end up being induced :(

Been lurking on this thread and finding it very interesting. Only 38+6 with lots of 'signs' since about 28 weeks Grin but really ramped up in the last week or so.

This is dc2 and I had a very quick induction at 39+5 with dc1 but I felt completely fine up until then with no signs of anything happening so not sure how late I'd have gone if I wasn't induced.

Can't decide if I'm desperate for it to happen now as I'm so uncomfortable and fed up or if I want to hold on a bit longer. Friday sounds good to me as dh is taking toddler ds to his mums for the day Thursday so I can have a good long sleep to give me some energy because I'm exhausted. Also like the idea of a Sept baby for school reasons.

Hope those of you further than me aren't kept waiting much longer Flowers

Hey ladies, checking in to see how you're all going? Any news?
I'm at home day 2, my milk has come in so I've got huge sore boobs. Came home yesterday morning and my older son spent all last night vomiting and just did again all over the sofa, cushions, blankets. You wouldn't believe how much laundry I've got :(
All going good with baby, but I'm so tired. I feel like I've been awake for days straight.
Looking forward to hearing all your news :)

Hi notsure, welcome! How are you finding this late pregnancy lark so far?

I am just not thinking about it, as I have royally pissed myself off with symptom spotting and getting over excited at every twinge.

We've tried EVERY SINGLE thing we can to bring labour on, and at 41+2 it's not making a blind bit of difference.

Planning a BBQ and paddling pool day with DD, and got family visiting this week. Ostensibly that was to meet dc2 but looks like it will be to see us as a 3 rather than 4!

Sas great to hear you're home, sorry you've had to deal with a bug too, that sucks!

Will keep you posted Flowers

Started to have some pains at about midnight! Just been to the loo and had my show. Going to do some contraction timing ...... think this might be it!!!!

Report
forfucksakejanet · 29/08/2017 11:13

Well that escalated quickly!! My contractions built very quickly and by 6am I called my mum to look after DD

I got in the car at 7:10, waters went in the car at 7:15, ds was born by ventouse at 8:02 am weighing 8lb 2oz

He's utterly perfect and I am allowed home this afternoon. Worth every minute of waiting FlowersFlowersFlowers

You soon mini, have they offered the sweep? I was due to have one tomorrow but obviously need to cancel that Grin

Hang in there, it's shit but it's worth it Flowers

I couldn't work out if it was the real deal but when I was contracting every 2 mins at home and wanting to push I had to haul ass to the car quick smart! My waters went all over the car (tremendous, can't wait to clean that up!!) and they took one look at me and got me a room.

I was fully dilated and ready to get pushing!!

It was scary when a load of people ran in to assist, and then I needed a ton of stitches, but hey, I'll heal, and thankfully theres no tear in my bum Hmm which he thought there possibly was (best never get constipated again ha ha)

Can't wait to see your news x
