I just got my BFP on the 9th June, and I'm calculated due 18th Feb 2018. Anyone else with similar dates out there who'd like to share the ride?
Current symptoms are tender, larger boobs and mild, intermittent 'cramps" In my left abdomen (more like a poke than a cramp!).

I had really bad pains in my back, side and stomach. They were coming and going every 20 minutes or so. I rang the midwives in our local hospital and they said because I’m 26 weeks I had to see a doctor and there isn’t one so we had to go up to the new hospital which is another 35 minutes away (already 15/20 minutes from our local hospital!) worth it to know everything is ok though. And at least we’ve had a dry run at getting to where I’m having the baby!

cakes glad all is ok, must've been scary.
sara If it's only for mums-to-be I can't help

SilviaE · 15/11/2017 20:51

cakesandphotos glad everything alright. I just got a letter from the hospital saying that I have low levels of iron and that I need to take some iron supplements. Very strange as I am taking Pregnacare which contains iron...

Newatthismummy · 17/11/2017 05:10

Hi ladies,
Can I join you? I'm a FTM, due date is the 12th of Feb. Super excited about our forthcoming arrival. Still suffering (and have done since Wk 7) from terrible morning sickness and I'm up from about 4pm every morning but aside from that, feeling good!

Apologies if this conversation has already happened earlier on the thread, but does anyone have experience with Black Friday deals for baby stuff? Is it any good? We are interested to see what comes up. We've already purchased a few big things: icandy pram; next2me crib; car seat (still need to get the isofix); cot & changing drawer - but looking out for baby monitors and the rest on our long list of things to buy!
Thank you!!

TheVoiceOfTreason · 17/11/2017 08:55

Welcome, @newatthismummy !

Black Friday deals I don't know so much about, but if you don't have specific brands in mind then I think some of the Argos vouchers you get through Emma's Diary may relate to some of the items you just listed on your wish (e.g. Baby monitors, presumably also breast pump?), albeit the vouchers are pretty brand specific.

Newatthismummy · 18/11/2017 07:48

Thank you, I shall take a look, as also hadn't thought of that!

sadie2017 · 18/11/2017 22:14

Feeling frustrated and down today - anyone else's mother-in-law just overbearing? Confused

cakesandphotos · 19/11/2017 19:58

That doesn’t sound fun sadie Sad what’s happening? I think I’m in the minority of people who get on really well with my MIL! Feel free to vent though Smile

MarmiteAndPB · 20/11/2017 10:53

Sorry sadie, sounds rough. What's she doing? If you want to vent about it here it might help?

I haven't had any family problems recently, but spent most of the weekend in bed either asleep or just really tired. Not very productive and a waste of a weekend! And then DH and I had a long conversation where we just came up with more and more things wrong with the only name that we've managed to both like so far. Grr.

reallyorange · 05/12/2017 22:38

This thread's gone a bit quiet considering we haven't got long to go?! Anyone want to check in?
I'm 31 weeks now but slightly convinced baby will come early, although planning an ELCS. Haven't packed my hospital bag yet so will do that this weekend, need to buy newborn nappies and wash baby clothes (and maybe order a couple more). Got some big knickers so that's that sorted...

TheVoiceOfTreason · 06/12/2017 04:57

Hey there @reallyorange ! waves

I'm also convinced mine is going to be early as I'm huge (bump is, anyway. Rest of me is not too bad thankfully!) has Like, strangers in the lift at work ask when I'm due, I tell them, they raise their eyebrows and ask whether there's just one in there. Eeeeek!

Other than some next level pregsomnia (it's 5am, I've been awake since before 3am, FML!!) and occasional rib ache/back ache, all going fairly well here.

@newatthismummy did you end up getting anything in the Black Friday sales in the end? We ended up getting our nursery furniture - over £200 off in Mothercare sales 😀

Newatthismummy · 09/12/2017 20:30

I am also convinced I'm going to be early, though planning on working until just before I hit the 38 week mark. Luckily work are super flexible and have said I can wfh as much as I need to in Jan, so I can avoid commuting...

@TheVoiceOfTreason I didn't manage to get anything during Black Friday! Planning to do the final nursery blitz over the Xmas break, as well as packing my hospital Bag. Starting to look out things I need for that. Like you, I'm wide awake around 4am but I am almost used to it now! Have you much left to buy?

reallyorange · 09/12/2017 20:55

I was awake from 4.30 - 6.00 am this morning, and so was my little boy (just chatting/singing in his bed luckily although I did go and tuck him in). It drives me mad that the only days I don't need to get up I wake up for no reason!

cakesandphotos · 09/12/2017 22:25

I’m still here Smile plodding along at 30+1. I’m not huge but I’m struggling a bit. I finish work at 35 weeks so only 5 weeks left thank goodness! I don’t have much time off at Christmas so I’m looking forward to having a chill out before baby comes.

Anna2006 · 10/12/2017 10:23

Hey ladies. I’m 32 weeks today. I have another 5 weeks left at work & not finishing until 36+5 weeks. Not sure why a good idea that was!

Midwife on Thursday believed baby is still breech. She was 100% certain but now I’ve panicked a little think it should be head down already. Everyone says plenty of time to turn an most will go that direction before 36-37 weeks. So here’s hoping mine is just lazy and comfy for now & will get a jiggle on when it needs to. Can’t help but be concerned though. Really want a VB!

Leighannk · 17/01/2018 15:29

Hey, can I join? I’m due 14/02/2018!

So excited for my valentines baby!

Just would be nice to have some fellow mummy to be advice on all of my current symptoms rather than endlessly searching the internet!

Told at 36 week midwife check yesterday that my baby girl is 3/5ths engaged and wow can I feel it! Also spent the last couple of days with nausea, loose bowel movement, period pains and lower back ache! Anyone else have this? Getting lots of braxton hicks too but no pattern to them?

cakesandphotos · 17/01/2018 15:51

There’s someone you can message and ask to be added in to the group but one of the admins has had her baby so might be slightly busy! Hopefully someone who knows can add you! Congratulations on your pregnancy!

sadie2017 · 17/01/2018 16:07

Hey Leighannk I'm due the 12th Feb and totally ready for it now.

I've had similar symptoms to you - I saw a consultant today as baby's growth is tailing off but all is okay and I just need to go for a scan each week to keep an eye on things.

I mentioned about being sick the last few days and they basically said all normal. I've had terrible spd since week 11 and constantly feel like I've been kicked in the unmentionables with steel cap boots Confused. Thankfully I'm now on mat leave now so I've just arrived at my parents house for a bit of tlc until the end of the week SmileX
