I just got my BFP on the 9th June, and I'm calculated due 18th Feb 2018. Anyone else with similar dates out there who'd like to share the ride?
Current symptoms are tender, larger boobs and mild, intermittent 'cramps" In my left abdomen (more like a poke than a cramp!).

Sarah that's great news!

Sausagemuffin · 27/09/2017 17:41

Ladies I'm getting very uncomfortable at night time so sleeping isn't great.

Trying cushion between my legs but it's not great. Was thinking about a pregnancy pillow. Anyone tried one? Recommend one?

TheVoiceOfTreason · 27/09/2017 18:31

Yay at Sarah's news! That's great.

Re pregnancy pillows - I have one and it's not bad - definitely more comfy than a conventional pillow between my legs. I'll be honest, I've not used it this last couple of weeks as I can still just about get away with sleeping in a sort of semi-collapsed foetal position, without feeling like I'm squishing my belly too much (hope this isn't be bad for the baby! :$ ) but conscious that I'm very much living on borrowed time here. Pregnancy pillow will be making a comeback soon therefore....

PS 20 week scan tomorrow - wish me luck ladies!!

Sausagemuffin · 27/09/2017 19:54

Voiceoftreason what pillow is it?

cakesandphotos · 28/09/2017 08:44

I’ve now got a proper stress on about my scan tomorrow Confused I’ve convinced myself that baby isn’t moving as much and that there will be a problem. Someone talk me down! Google is not helpful

TheVoiceOfTreason · 28/09/2017 11:57

Scan went well!! 😀😍

Like @hfin1992 I am having a little girl. Well, sonographer is over 90% certain anyway. Baby is "perfect", apparently! Placenta is lying a little low so they've booked me in for a 32 week scan to be on the safe side but apparently in 90% of cases that sorts itself out, and in any event mine is only a bit low, not too low.

I'm so so happy!!!

sadie2017 · 28/09/2017 14:59

@voiceofreason

Congratulations - I had my scan today too... we're having a blue bundle Grin. Super excited!

My baby was very wriggly so they couldn't get a decent image of the 4 heart chambers. Sonography said nothing to worry about but got to go back next week.

hfin1992 · 28/09/2017 15:46

@TheVoiceOfTreason @sadie2017 congratulations to you both on your scans 😊 hitting the shops again now I know the gender, it's very exciting 😁

Sarahhlj · 29/09/2017 09:00

Thanks everyone, glad scans went good yest, cakes good luck today it will be fine, I have plenty movement ts one day and then nothing for days at a time. Mumtotwofurbabies how did your scan go yest?? Hope everything is ok? Xxxx

Mumtotwofurbabies · 29/09/2017 10:02

Hi guys! Yes the scan was perfect, no concerns at all - thank goodness :) it's still a girl as well Smile

Apparently I have a small fibroid? But scan lady wasn't concerned at all and said it's tiny so may go away during pregnancy, main thing is baby is ok...she was moving about loads. Glad everyone else's went well x

Mumtotwofurbabies · 29/09/2017 10:06

Cakes good luck with yours today...it will be fine 👍

MarmiteAndPB · 29/09/2017 10:24

Great to hear all this happy news re scans. Sarah that's really fantastic, and Cakes I hope that yours goes well today. I don't think that regular movement is really a thing at this stage. And I hope that you have a good weekend away to relax after all this worry!

Sausagemuffin I bought this one but haven't really started needing it yet. My main problem at the moment is pain in my bottom hip from resting on my side all night (I usually sleep on my back and I find it very hard to stay still on one side for so long). And I'm not confident that this pillow will really help with that. I kind of wish I'd gone for one more like this now because it seems as though it would be more generally supportive and take more weight off the bottom hip. But I don't know.

cakesandphotos · 29/09/2017 16:43

Thanks for all the well wishes Smile scan went well, baby looks perfect!

Also got any urine sample results back and they’ve found protein in my sample. Anyone have an idea of what that means? I tried googling it, wasn’t helpful!

Re pregnancy pillows, I have a 9ft U shaped body pillow and it’s fab. Well recommended

Mumtotwofurbabies · 29/09/2017 18:13

Yay great news 😄 I would ask my midwife about that protein...surely they would tell you what it means if they are pointing it out?

Sarahhlj · 29/09/2017 23:36

Cakes protein in urine can be a sign of pre-eclampsia however if they were worried they would definatly have said... if you pass out, have real bad headaches, excessive tiredness (more than most.... I love an afternoon nap if I can!!) Go to the doctors

cakesandphotos · 30/09/2017 06:58

No one sounded worried… it does explain why they want me to see the nurse for a blood pressure check on Monday though. I also have to take in another urine sample. Headache, tiredness and slight dizziness is the main reason I thought I might have a UTI though

littleflowershop · 30/09/2017 15:32

Protein in your urine can be caused by loads of things - dehydration, stress, fever.

They normally check again to see if it occurs in the second sample, and if so can be a sign of UTI or an issue.

Don't worry though!

Im 20 weeks and I have only one kidney so having regular urine tests. Some of mine have come back with protein present but it's always resolved by the next test!

cakesandphotos · 01/10/2017 13:11

Thanks @littleflowershop that’s really reassuring! No point in thinking too much about it until I get my second sample back Smile

In much nicer news, Friday night was the first time baby has moved around enough to see it. Lovely but very weird watching something pole my tummy up from the inside!

Sarahhlj · 02/10/2017 07:53

Oo cakes how exciting, can't wait for that to happen. ive had enough this week!! I'm a pregnant walking disaster at the moment, have been ill for last three weeks. First an ear infection, then a chest infection finally cleared was due to start a new job last week but had my chest infection and was due to start today... Fell over yesterday and I've broke my big toe!!!!! Baby's fine but seriously week 4 of being cooped up is driving me crazy!!! Lol. They say things happen in 3s so hopefully that's it now for me for a year!! Lol xxxx

Sarahhlj · 02/10/2017 16:47

Change that to 8 weeks! Now have a cast on said toe and not allowed to drive for 4!! Living in a field in the middle of nowhere that's going to be difficult to say the least!! Not a happy preggie bunny at the moment!! X

cakesandphotos · 03/10/2017 10:52

Wow Sarah! That’s either impressive or really bad luck! Or both! I hope you’re feeling better soon Smile I wouldn’t mind a few weeks off work, running round after 4 children, including 2 year old twins is exhausting! I’m thankful at the end of every day that I’m only growing one baby!

MsP0b · 03/10/2017 13:49

Hi all, I’m due a girl on 17th Feb so would love to join in the thread.

I’m currently sitting in hospital waiting for another painful injection to the bum- my baby is a different blood group to me so need anti-D injections to stop my immune system fighting the baby. Not a concern, except for my poor bum!

Big best wishes to all the Feb preggos Xx

Sarahhlj · 06/10/2017 09:41

2 year old twins sounds like hard work!! Mspob you out of hosp now? How did they know baby was a different blood group? Xx

rafers92 · 06/10/2017 17:26

I hope this is ok with admin
Hi ladies!!
My name is Amy Rathbone and I am a PhD student. My thesis is based around women who experience health anxiety during pregnancy (as triggered by my own personal experience). I am looking into how women use the internet to search for health information for themselves and their children whilst they are pregnant. My aim is to ensure that pregnant women are using the internet in the best way possible e.g. (using validated health sites, easing anxiety and stress, panic less at symptoms).
My questionnaire is COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL and takes around 5-10 minutes. All responses are included in the research with no identifiable markers. The link also provides a more in-depth explanation of this research.
Thank you in advance!!

I’ve had to take ibuprofen twice in the last 24 hours due to an extremely painful arthritis flare up. My consultant said a low level dose is ok before 30 weeks but I feel really guilty! So much for the remission I was promised in pregnancy…

Hope everyone is doing ok! Has everyone’s had their 20 week scan yet?

And does anyone know at what point they’ll start maternity leave? My boss was asking so I panicked and guessed Grin
