I just got my BFP on the 9th June, and I'm calculated due 18th Feb 2018. Anyone else with similar dates out there who'd like to share the ride?
Current symptoms are tender, larger boobs and mild, intermittent 'cramps" In my left abdomen (more like a poke than a cramp!).

Hi ladies,

I hope you are all growing well!!
I'm due on Valentine's Day and very excited but finding every day is a learning curve.

I'm based in Greenwich and wondered if there are any meet up groups I could join or if anyone fancies a coffee?

Thanks,
Christie x

louiserachael · 01/09/2017 15:12

I am due 23rd Feb!! 15 weeks today! Can't stop eating chocolate and melon

Thackraychristie · 04/09/2017 13:43

louiserachael
I hear you on the chocolate front!! I just want to eat anything sweet...trying to be good though.

Are there any coffee mornings around Greenwich? I'm rubbish at keeping up on the messages on here x

cakesandphotos · 04/09/2017 17:25

I heard baby's heartbeat for the first time today. I'm still amazed that there's a living person in there!

I wish I was eating chocolate, I love it! But pretty much all I want is vegetables, ideally in the form of soup. I guess it's good but I do miss chocolate

MarmiteAndPB · 05/09/2017 13:28

cakes I wish I was craving vegetables! I still can't stomach anything fresh and green. Had to spit out some broccoli the other day! If it's cooked down into something unrecognisable with a strong sauce I'm ok, but I had all these people at the weekend trying to get me to load up on salad "for the baby" and I really couldn't handle it.

Lovely to hear the heartbeat! I heard it a few weeks ago which was amazing, but haven't felt anything since and it's really hard not knowing whether everything's ok in there. My next scan isn't until late September which feels ages away.

MarmiteAndPB · 05/09/2017 13:30

Sorry Thackraychristie, I'm afraid that I'm not based anywhere near Greenwich. Hope that you find some local connections!

louiserachael · 05/09/2017 18:00

I'm due 23rd feb and felt my first "quickening" movement today was really amazing xx

cakesandphotos · 06/09/2017 06:52

Has anyone else had nose bleeds which pregnant?? I've never had one before in my life and in the last few weeks I've had bloody snot then this morning a proper bleeding nose. I'm not good at my blood coming out of places it's not supposed to and now feel slightly sick and dizzy. No one told me nose bleeds were a thing! The surprises of pregnancy! Although I've had no morning sickness so maybe this is better but it freaks me out!

MarmiteAndPB · 06/09/2017 17:38

Hi cakes I haven't had any yet (and I used to suffer from them quite regularly as a teenager) but according to the NHS they are common and are caused by hormonal changes.

Of course, the list of symptoms that could be put down to pregnancy seems to be everything! They really don't warn you about any of this do they?

SophieLL · 08/09/2017 14:57

Hope everyone is doing well! Just checking in to say I had a private gender scan last night (at 16+1). I wasn't sure what to expect and worried I was wasting my money - but it was really lovely and relaxed. Even took home a DVD of the scan (watching it is already really helping me get my head around it all!)

Mumtotwofurbabies · 08/09/2017 17:56

Hello! I've been reading these forums for a while, but never posted so can I join? Im due 15th Feb, it's my first and I'm 31...very excited! Have also been feeling lots of movements this week, wasn't sure if it was wind before, but pretty sure now it's the baby :)

Mumtotwofurbabies · 08/09/2017 18:01

Also...just posted this on antenatal tests, but reposting here as well...sorry to start with a anxious topic but if anyone has any thoughts or reassurance would be great 😀

At my 12 week scan they couldn't do the nuchal scan so had quad bloods at 16 weeks and had the results yesterday, it was low risk so I should be happy, and trying to be but the risk was 1/533 for downs , higher than the baseline risk for my age, and Im not reassured as a lot of people seem to get risks in the thousands! I think my HCG was high at 1.91 and inhibin (?) was a bit high as well. In two minds on whether to pay for a NIPT or just accept its low risk and forget about it (easier said than done as it's on my mind all the time now!) hubby is more relaxed about it and ideally don't want to put myself through the worry of more tests etc.

Guess I'm looking for reassurance and to tell me I'm being silly! Also any stories of similar results and what you did?

reallyorange · 09/09/2017 08:24

I'm due early Feb but don't think I've felt any movements yet (19 weeks today), getting a bit worried! Found a good heartbeat at midwife appt last week though.

reallyorange · 09/09/2017 08:25

Pretty sure I'd felt movements by this time last time round...

cakesandphotos · 09/09/2017 08:38

They say everyone is different and every pregnancy is different reallyorange. If you heard a string heartbeat that's the best sign at this stage Smile

Welcome Mumtotwofurbabies! I'm due 16th so we're close! I'm afraid I haven't got any advice re nuchal test as we opted not to have it. Hopefully someone can advise though Smile

Sah2241 · 09/09/2017 08:48

@really orange I'm 18 weeks with my second and have only just started to feel movement. I was sure it was earlier with my first and I asked the midwife about it at my 16 week appointment. she said that sometimes you notice earlier with your second, but sometimes because your stomach muscles are already stretched you feel it later. She didn't seem worried.

Mumtotwofurbabies · 09/09/2017 09:33

When I went to my midwife appointment she said you don't normally feel movements until 20 or 21 weeks....so wouldn't worry!

MarmiteAndPB · 11/09/2017 09:18

I went to my midwife a few weeks ago and she told me to start tracking movement patterns. I still haven't felt anything! (I think - this is my first so I'm not sure what I'm suppose to be feeling). There was a strong heartbeat at the time but it's been so long since then! I think that this is the worst thing, that I have no idea what is going on in there. 20 week scan next week and I'm hoping it will be reassuring.

The other thing is that I was told to keep my notes will me at all times, which is irritating because they're massive! I'd thought I just need to bring them to appointments, but apparently I even need them on the commute to work. If they want me to keep them on me then couldn't they make them A5 at least, or electronic Grin

Mumtotwofurbabies sorry that you're anxious Sad I'm on my first pregnancy and have no experience to offer advice, but I hope that everything goes ok. I would have thought that if the doctors were concerned they would be offering more tests?

Mumtotwofurbabies · 11/09/2017 11:11

Hi Marmite, thanks I'm sure I'm just worrying for nothing as usual! That's exactly what I think, it's my first as well and as so long between scans you have no idea what's going on in there Smile

That's strange about asking you to take the notes everywhere with you..I work from home, but I can't imagine taking them when I go to the shops, walk the dog etc I would def loose them, maybe more relevant later in the pregnancy in case you suddenly go into labour while your out Hmm

cakesandphotos · 19/09/2017 18:02

How is everyone doing? Has anyone had their 20 week scan yet? Mine is next week, I can't wait!

MarmiteAndPB · 20/09/2017 09:21

Hi cakes - I was just about to ask the same thing!

My 20 week scan is tomorrow. Sadly DH can't be there and they said it was non-negotiable, so my mum will be coming instead. We're going to find out the sex if possible! V excited. We can finally start properly arguing about names Grin

cakesandphotos · 20/09/2017 12:44

How exciting Matmite! We aren't going to find out although when I'm out buying bits I wonder if it would be easier if we knew!

I assumed tiredness would have gone by now (almost 19 weeks) but today I am wrecked! I have 4 kids to look after - 2 at school at least - and I'm done in!

dobbyclub · 20/09/2017 14:04

I had mine! It's a boy! Bit sad won't be buying cute little dresses or using any of my girl names (and have no more boys' names on the list) but really happy anyway!

TLH0307 · 20/09/2017 14:32

Can I join late?! Due 15th of Feb with baby number 1 who we found out will be a little girl 😍

MarmiteAndPB · 20/09/2017 14:39

Ooh, congratulations dobby and TLH0307! Wonderful!
