I just got my BFP on the 9th June, and I'm calculated due 18th Feb 2018. Anyone else with similar dates out there who'd like to share the ride?
Current symptoms are tender, larger boobs and mild, intermittent 'cramps" In my left abdomen (more like a poke than a cramp!).

@TLH0307 ahh congratulations- we share a due date Smile also my first x

Sausagemuffin · 21/09/2017 11:14

Hi ladies, I'm due 8th Feb. I know this is a mid Feb group but do you mind if I join?!
My first baby too. I'm 38 and living in the Watford area.
20 weeks scan today. It's all getting very real.

Sarahhlj · 21/09/2017 12:24

Hi everyone, due 23rd Feb and had a rough ride so far would love to join in the chat if that's ok, just noticed post from Mumtotwofurbabies and can sympathise, my chance of Downs is 1:5 and have decided to push to the back of my brain and hope for the best, it's very scary but the way I look at it is if I found out it was a definate would I terminate or keep? Decided I would definatly keep so refused further testing! Xxx

MarmiteAndPB · 21/09/2017 18:56

Back from scan, we're having a boy! Like dobby, I'm feeling a little like I'm missing out on the cute dresses and we'd come much closer to agreeing girls' names, but DH is very pleased and I'm relieved to know that everything checked out ok.

Sarah I'm sorry to hear you've had a rough time. It sounds as though you're thinking clearly about it though.

Sausage I hope your scan today went well?

Sausagemuffin · 21/09/2017 19:18

The scan went well thanks. A boy!
My God he's grown though. The sonographer said he is tall. No idea where that would have come from 😂

Mumtotwofurbabies · 21/09/2017 19:42

Hi everyone! We are having a girl...😄 20 week scan next week but booked a private one, couldn't wait!

Sarah - sorry you are in a similar position..feel bad now for complaining about 1 in 500..I ended up wishing I'd never had the test! Was this from 12 week scan or the quad blood test you get later? I agree if you would keep its no point doing further tests really, also the charity ARC are good, I called and just poured out my irrational fears to a lovely women, was good to have someone to listen and get things in perspective xx

cakesandphotos · 21/09/2017 22:42

Looks like lots of boys! I feel a bit jealous that we’re not finding out now!

Sarahhlj · 22/09/2017 09:43

Thanks Marmite, 3rd baby so more laid back about this one and Mumtotwofurbabies don't feel bad for complaining it's horrible and scary when they tell you, it ruined my 12 week scan (bloods were done at the same time) it was only when I got home and thought about it that I started feeling quite cross with the midwives for how they handled it. They tell you as if it's the end of the world when actually it's not. I researched down syndrome and it's not so bad! She will still have a happy life, they live an average life span these days and many still work and are included in the general population so what will be will be.

Sarahhlj · 22/09/2017 09:45

Oh and cakes, I didn't find out on the last one and had a family and friends bet with sex and weight. My sister won (as always) makes it more fun when you get closer to the end and wish you knew! 😂

Sausagemuffin · 24/09/2017 21:56

Marmite and Sarah we did a harmony test (blood test for downs etc) at the Fetal Medicine clinic in London. It's more accurate than the NHS tests. They need to combine with a scan. It's not cheap mind you....

cakesandphotos · 25/09/2017 14:20

Anyone else feel like they’re doing their first trimester over again?? No sickness (didn’t have any anyway) but I feel like crap! I’m completely goosed, having bad headaches again and feel like I’ve swallowed a lead ball with no appetite. I also have pain before and after I wee so I’m wondering if I might have a urine infection. Our doctors surgery doesn’t have local appointments available until 6th October (!!) Hoping a phone call from the doc will be ok Confused

Sarahhlj · 25/09/2017 16:58

Cakes it definatly sounds like a urine infection, most doctors surgery will take a urine sample over reception and ask the nurse to dip it when she gets 5 mins and then either prescribe something or call back if it's nothing xx

Sausagemuffin · 25/09/2017 17:09

Cakes sorry you're feeling like crap. Your midwife should he able to test it for you if the go doesn't.
I feel bloated like there's no room for food in there but still eating my pre pregnancy amount.
Anyone else get leg cramps? Happened me last week. My leg is still sore!

dobbyclub · 25/09/2017 20:00

Yeah had leg cramps with my last pg and it's happening again!
Absolutely can't get a good night's sleep for love nor money - waking up after about 5-6 hours then desperately tired. And have the bloating thing too.

TheVoiceOfTreason · 26/09/2017 07:55

Due 15th Feb, 20 week scan on Thurs!

Nice to see the Feb 2018 thread, I've seen pretty much every other due date month but this one so far.

Hello fellow February due date-ers! 😀👍🏻👋🏻

hfin1992 · 26/09/2017 08:05

@TheVoiceOfTreason welcome Smile I'm also the 15th and my scan is today - I'm actually nervous all over again even though I feel baby all the time.

TheVoiceOfTreason · 26/09/2017 08:12

@hfin1992 - I don't really feel mine yet?! Or at least I don't know for certain if I am. I sometimes feel what feels like a pulse down there, but maybe it's my own?! I'm slightly stressed because most people seem to feel some sort of fluttering sensations down there by now. Sometimes I think I do, but I'm not sure if I've just imagined it!

MarmiteAndPB · 26/09/2017 09:51

Hi *Treason". I am a bit further along than you (due on 5th Feb) and had my scan last week. For the last couple of weeks I haven't been sure that what I was feeling was actually movement or just digestion type stuff!

At the scan the baby was wildly kicking around and I didn't feel anything even though I could see it on the screen. It feels a bit like bubbles and I think that it must be fairly common to be unsure whether it's just your imagination or real movement. It's certainly not regular or immediately obvious to me yet.

hfin1992 · 26/09/2017 10:56

@TheVoiceOfTreason I first felt at 17 weeks and I was mistaking it for wind for several days before the penny dropped. I think baby is laying low as all the movements are really low. Everything I've read it's totally normal not to have felt it yet so try not to stress Smile

Sausagemuffin · 26/09/2017 17:49

Voice of reason I started feeling a flicking sensation once or twice at week 19. Afew more last week. Then all the time now.
Make sure to ask where your placenta is at your scan. If it's at the front you'll feel less movement. If it's at the back like mine you'll feel more.
Most women I know didn't feel anything until week 22+. So don't panic.

TheVoiceOfTreason · 26/09/2017 21:18

Cheers guys for the reassurance! In an ironic piece of timing, I did experience what can only be described as a "flicking" feeling today....Literally, it felt like someone flicking me from the inside. I think it was the baby moving! Yay!

@hfin1992 - how was the scan? Hope all went well and if you had a gender preference that it's what you wanted!

hfin1992 · 26/09/2017 21:37

@TheVoiceOfTreason yey! That's great news Smile my scan went great - we are having a little girl and she's perfectly healthy- laying low like I thought in a kind of breach position - but they don't worry about that just yet x

Sarahhlj · 27/09/2017 12:25

Hi everyone, after being given a 1:5 chance of Downs I've just been for my 19 week scan wib the consultant who said their is now no indication of Down syndrome at all!!!! I refused further testing on the grounds I wouldn't care either way but to say im super pleased would be a massive understatement! 😁😁😁 xx

Mumtotwofurbabies · 27/09/2017 13:32

That's brilliant Sarah! I'm also due on the 15th and have my scan tomorrow...not as nervous as I had a private scan a couple of weeks ago and no issues were spotted so hopefully will all be ok!

cakesandphotos · 27/09/2017 14:00

Amazing news Sarah!! I can’t wait until Friday for my scan. And we’re going away for the weekend so I have a feeling today and tomorrow will be slow days!
