Currently 38 weeks pregnant today and cannot wait to meet my little boy! I'm feeling so impatient. I've tried to help bring on labour but nothing seems to be working! I've tried bouncing on my birthing ball, sex, evening primrose oil etc.. also been losing my plug over the past two weeks but haven't had a bloody show. Anyone in the same boat as me?? Would love to hear how everybody's pregnancies are going!

Me! 36+4 going by my dating scan, 37+3 if I were to go by my own dates - which I know are 100% correct. My first was born 18 days early & id love to go around the same time again.

I'm trying everything, sex, pineapple, raspberry leaf, keeping active and on my feet! .. everyone is commenting on how low I am so hopefully things are moving in the right direction for us!

Zofloralover1 · 08/06/2017 22:24

I had an appointment last week at the hospital and baby's head isn't even engaged yet.. I've never had to wait so long for something in my life and now I'm only 2 weeks away.. praying for him to come early but I'm not that lucky! Haha

CaptainWarbeck · 08/06/2017 23:01

I'll join, I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and desperate for this baby to arrive! Waters broke with DC1 at 40+3 so I'm not holding out too much hope of going early... maybe secretly

Sounds positive you've been losing your plug OP. Fingers crossed something happens soon!

deb1407 · 10/06/2017 06:28

Hope we are all doing ok & hanging in there

37 weeks tomorrow Grin ..

Pregnancy insomnia has well & truly kicked in, nothing like back to back episodes of OBEM to get the hormones going!!

Hi! I'm 37+5 but not feeling too impatient yet, with ny first Dd I was beside myself with impatience and trying to provoke labour by now. Seeing as she was induced at 42 weeks am taking things a lot more calmly this time! Plus having a toddler means I dont have as much time to think about it! Baby has been engaged since 32 weeks though.... as far as things to try: best way to kick start natural labour is babys head exerting pressure on the cervix, so anything that gets baby down low, dancing, squatting, walking, lunging... either way not long left for any of us now :)

Zofloralover1 · 12/06/2017 03:40

Did all sorts tonight.. I had sex, bounced on my birthing ball and inserted evening primrose oil. Just woke up with bad acid, feeling sick and my bump feeling very tight, just been for a wee and I seem to feel better than when I first woke up, just struggling to go back to sleep now!! How's everyone else feeling? 10 days to go for me!! That's if the little bugger isn't late

Donostia · 12/06/2017 03:56

38+2 here and utterly fed up!! I've been expressing colostrum in a bid to kick start something but not even a twinge. DS was born on his due date so i'm hoping i don't go over.

Justlittleme · 12/06/2017 05:12

I'm 38w today, and have woken up with period pains/low back ache, nothing major though! I walked 10miles yesterday and sat on my birthing ball for a while!! I'm hoping this is the start of something!!! I bet I'll get up and the pain with go though!! I'm a ftm and getting impatient/scared/nervous/excited!! How's everyone else feeling today? Xx

Xanadu44 · 12/06/2017 05:13

39+5 here and just sick of being all achey and fat!!! No signs of anything for me so I'm thinking I'll be going way over! Just trying to relax as much as possible and get as much rest as I know I won't be getting much once baby is here! Good luck everyone! X

deb1407 · 12/06/2017 06:46

37+1 today, really thought last night was "the" night .. strong braxton hicks, cramps, lower back pain & my bump was so so tight! .. all lasted a good 3 hours then died off Confused

I'm having sex daily, been on raspberry leaf since 33 weeks and trying to remain as active as possible! .. bought a birthing ball at the weekend. Time to get using it

Zofloralover1 · 12/06/2017 07:18

I woke up again at 6am this morning with really shitty bellyache, I had a b/m sorry for the tmi and I was wiping I had the tiniest splodge of fresh blood less than the size of a 5p coin, wiped again and there wasn't anymore. Was in two minds to ring triage or not but decided not to, will see if anything else happens. Really hoping today is the day!! Sounds like all you ladies are getting close with the signs your having, we need to make the most of the time we've got left to relax haha. This is my first baby so need to make the most of it just being me and my partner before we become a 3! X

deb1407 · 12/06/2017 07:56

I've been watching OBEM religiously every day. Think I've possibly seen episode available! I'm so ready for this yet nervous.

This is my 2nd time round, my DS was nice and early, and very healthy may I add but I think his date may have been wrong!! This baba ain't budging & I need to accept that!!

Plans for today include school run, ironing pile the size of a mountain some batch cooking & taking DS swimming after school. Keep getting over emotional at the thought he needs to share his mama now!!

Justlittleme · 12/06/2017 12:34

How's everyone else doing? I could have sworn something was going to kick off for me this morning, but I think I must have been imagining it! I'm fine again now, no pains or even niggles! Is anyone else having any movements?

Xanadu44 · 12/06/2017 12:44

Ironically since writing this I've had horrific cramping pains all morning. I'm just trying to stay calm and see how it goes and I've had diarrhoea (sorry tmi) with back pain. I'll see how I get on but it's probably just all still just getting me ready. I hope so as I have a pedicure booked on my due date (weds!) and don't want to miss it! Ha!

Justlittleme · 12/06/2017 12:56

Ohh that sounds exciting! I have a nail appointment booked for next week as well and I don't want to miss it!! I'm only 38 weeks so could have a few weeks of waiting left, but I just want to meet my little one now!! Hope your afternoon goes well! Xx

Xanadu44 · 12/06/2017 13:11

Thanks @justlittleme I'll let you know if there are any developments but I'm guessing this is just a flash in the pan!

Donostia · 12/06/2017 13:23

I had a twinge and was very hopeful and excited but did a poo and now it's gone Angry I am SO fed up of pregnancy now!

glitterglitters · 12/06/2017 13:35

Heya! I'm 37 weeks today with number 2. I've been having horrid braxton hicks and cramps regularly in the evening for over a week now. Losing my plug gradually since a week ago. The last few nights have been intense but then tapered off. I'm just glad I've got to 37 weeks as I want to go to a midwife led unit and use birthing pool.

I'm half willing them to be here and half panicking I've still got a load of self employed work I need to do first Grin

glitterglitters · 12/06/2017 13:38

Added to the fact my midwife has insisted I will be early and she doesn't expect to see me at our next appointment (next Wednesday) but feel she's jinxed it Grin

deb1407 · 12/06/2017 13:43

@glitterglitters you situation sounds so similar to mine, midwife basically confirmed at my last app I wouldn't be going the full 40 weeks, I've been having severe BH which are even developing a nice wee pattern then stopping after a few hours! I lost plug 2 weeks in a row, large amounts on a Wednesday, maybe this Wednesday my DD will decide she's comping to meet her family!

glitterglitters · 12/06/2017 14:05

@deb1407 Yes! Sounds exactly the same. I've been bouncing on my ball and hoping for something to start soon.

It feels close but because it's number 2 I know nothing is guaranteed at this point. They can pop in and out and will and everything.

deb1407 · 12/06/2017 14:10

@glitterglitters That's it! I feel like she's popping in & when she's " in " it's bloody sore but go periods of not feeling too heavily pregnant. Going for a bounce on the ball just now and a swim tonight!

Zofloralover1 · 12/06/2017 15:52

Is it just me that feels like they get cramps/tightenings/period pain feeling when they eat chocolate or something that's not particularly healthy?! It's giving me false hope haha

glitterglitters · 12/06/2017 15:58

I've had to run a bath. I've been bh-img and been sick. Thrown in a lush bubble bar for good measure and just seeing what happens. Baby is hiccuping like mad so hard to tell what's what at the moment.

Zofloralover1 · 12/06/2017 16:11

@glitterglitters hopefully things are getting a move on for you!! Fingers crossed
