Oops time for a new thread. Hope you all find it okay Grin

@lydiangel83 I'm nearly 26 weeks, it was probably 20ish weeks when it improved because I remember I first felt baby move at 18 weeks and I was sleeping in the spare room because I was so fidgety and frustrated that night so it was after 18 weeks!

Great list thanks MSH!

NC1990 · 15/07/2017 09:53

I got a cute little grobag from John Lewis for £12 in the sale, no idea if I've got the right tog though 🙈 It has no arms. Also popped into Primarche yesterday and picked up a cellular cotton blanket and some muslins (everyone's told me that if in doubt, buy more muslins!). Going to make up baby's wardrobe today so I have somewhere to put all this crap I've bought 😄

NC1990 · 15/07/2017 09:56

And last night we were able to see baby kicking just by looking at my stomach! She is certainly a strong little mover.

TheLionQueen1 · 15/07/2017 09:56

I've been told that too NC1990 about muslin cloths, have bought a stupid amount of them! Good luck getting the wardrobe up! I can't buy anything else until my maternity leave now as have run out of space to store it all until I put the changing table and cot up!

TheLionQueen1 · 15/07/2017 09:57

Me too!! I managed to catch it on video on Thursday!! We're obviously brewing strong ones Grin

ew1990 · 15/07/2017 13:03

@NC1990 I was in the bath last night and my belly went a bit tight as if she was turning round but there was no room and then my belly started moving like crazy, @TheLionQueen1 I love watching the video I got the other night

NC1990 · 15/07/2017 23:00

I will need to try to get a video of it, it's the strangest thing. My husband was totally perplexed that as the baby grows you can actually see the limbs poking out, had to look up videos on YouTube for him!

mrsjkerry · 16/07/2017 09:22

I can't even feel baby let alone see her! I really do feel like I'm missing out. I guess it's a combination of the weight I've gained (2stone😬) and having this thick anterior placenta.

Is anyone else considering hypnobirthing? My husband thinks it's a total gimmick trying to rinse money out of scared people. But I am so anxious I think anything that might help me stay calm is worth it!?

ValentineFizz · 16/07/2017 09:47

@mrsjkerry how far along are you? I'm 23+3 and only just feeling movement myself and only low down, no definite pattern to it yet - I was told my placenta was "up out of the way" at scan, and the notes say it has an anterior edge, so thinking s/he's got plenty of room to bob about in there and the movements are cushioned by placenta anyway..... I can't wait for my fiance to be able to feel it never mind is being able to see it! 😊😊

mrsjkerry · 16/07/2017 09:51

I am 23+3 too! I was told I had a thick placenta right at the front which would cushion a lot of movement. But I'd still like to feel her...currently I don't believe there's a baby in there because I feel no evidence of it! 😄

Squigglefish · 16/07/2017 10:52

Not sure if anyone is from the North East, there is an expectant parent event on at mothercare world in Team Valley. There are 3 dates in August, it's free to book a place. You get a 10% voucher and a goody bag (I intend to use the voucher for our pram) It sounds really good.

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 16/07/2017 11:58

@Squigglefish thanks I've just booked for one in Meadowhall

NC1990 · 16/07/2017 12:03

@Squigglefish we went to one of the events at our local Mothercare in June. Was worth going just for the discount code really, we used it to buy a load of stuff and they let us take another voucher away with us too. The talks are very basic and not much in the goody bags but was fun to see all things baby (and we bumped into a few people we knew that hadn't told people they were pregnant yet, was amusing!).

ew1990 · 16/07/2017 16:54

Does anyone else still have a chin like a teenager? Where's this 2nd trimester glow??

TheLionQueen1 · 16/07/2017 17:25

Ew I start my third trimester on Tuesday and the glow completely missed me 😂

ew1990 · 16/07/2017 17:29

It was all false promises 😂😂

Don't get me wrong I'm so so grateful to be pregnant but I'm pale as anything with dark circles and a spotty chin 😂

Squigglefish · 16/07/2017 17:40

@NC1990 awesome, I'm just so eager to order our pram, can't wait to get the voucher.
@ew1990 I hate to say but my skin and hair gave been great for a few weeks now...they were horrific during the first trimester lol. I'm not glowing though, there might be a glow if it weren't for the constant tiredness Grin

TheLionQueen1 · 16/07/2017 18:38

Squiggle my hair seems to be good to be fair! Although anyone else stupidly hairy everywhere else?!! My bump is covered in little white hairs and the hair on my legs grows back at a ridiculous speed 😂

ew1990 · 16/07/2017 18:43

@TheLionQueen1 I wish my bump was covered in white hair, mine is so hairy but dark hairs 😳 I'm hoping they disappear when little lady is here

Icantthinkofastupidname · 16/07/2017 19:00

Just booked the mothercare event for the 20th. Thanks for the info.

12week scan on Tuesday (12w5d) so will be looking forward to starting to think about making a shopping list after that :).

DarcyParty · 16/07/2017 19:03

@squigglefish I just bought my pram at the Team Valley mothercare! (North East high five!) Don't bother with the one at the Silverlink though, it's tiny and nothing really there. Wish I'd known about the 10% discount, but oh well!

lydiangel83 · 16/07/2017 20:33

@TheLionQueen1 @ew1990 is it bad that I haven't noticed whether I'm more hairy lol?! I don't think I am but my broken veins in my legs (inherited from DM) are awful and getting worse almost by the day. So unsightly!

Missonhartbaby · 16/07/2017 21:36

Any one else having serious issues with having to get up and wee all night? I'm nearly 27 weeks and I got up 4 times last night!!! Surely this isn't normal?! Haha

lydiangel83 · 16/07/2017 21:55

@Missonhartbaby afraid I've had that the whole time (25 wks this wk)

Missonhartbaby · 16/07/2017 22:06

@lydia - Argh but its so annoying!! Haha!,Nevermind, small price to pay I guess! I'm trying to not drink anything too late but I'm also super thirsty. Vicious cycle Grin
