Oops time for a new thread. Hope you all find it okay Grin

@lydiangel83 I'm nearly 26 weeks, it was probably 20ish weeks when it improved because I remember I first felt baby move at 18 weeks and I was sleeping in the spare room because I was so fidgety and frustrated that night so it was after 18 weeks!

Ladies: want to wish you all the absolute best for the rest of your pregnancies. After my trip to the EPU when bleeding at 8 weeks, it took me a long time to get a handle on how I was feeling about this much wanted pregnancy. Now at 23 weeks, I'm feeling great but feel a horrible stab of anxiety every time I come on this group and read another post about something I shouldn't be doing!

I wouldn't even have considered some of the risks being discussed recently: listeria, msg?! So for that reason, I'm afraid I'm out. VERY good luck to everyone though. Thanks for being such a great support over the past few months.

Probably wouldn't have put it quite as sarcastically as Garden but @Victoriaaaaaaaa - I do wonder if maybe you need to speak to your midwife or doctor as you appear to have quite serious health anxiety.

ew1990 · 14/07/2017 20:20

@Teachervoice I'm so sorry you feel like that, I know what you mean I never worry about stuff I eat just stay away from the obvious stuff. I wish you the very best in this pregnancy.

@Victoriaaaaaaaa I mean this in the nicest way but I too think you are over thinking everything way to much, just relax stressing about everything isn't making things easier, enjoy your pregnancy because it flies by x

88claire · 14/07/2017 20:30

I can honestly say that I don't really give food a second thought. Unless it's blatantly dodgy like unpasteurised cheese or raw fish etc.

My appetite is just huge at the moment!

My worry is the babies movements. I need to remember they need to sleep at some point. My madam is very active so I worry when she's resting!

In my eyes people all over the world eat their home cuisine which will be 'iffier' than ours and have healthy babies. Worrying is probably doing more harm than the food. Plus you won't enjoy your food If you're worrying about eating it!

NC1990 · 14/07/2017 20:40

Most of my comments seem to be going completely unnoticed, but I agree re the food. My SIL avoided so many foods when she was pregnant, she lives in the US and they seem to be ridiculously paranoid about everything. They say no ham! I suppose we're quite lucky here that in the grand scheme of things there isn't too much we really need to avoid.

ew1990 · 14/07/2017 20:44

@NC1990 i know the American sites are ridiculous! Re the sleeping bags are yours the ones where arms are free to move or the ones where arms are tucked in? I'm not sure which ones best? X

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 14/07/2017 21:17

It will be better when I get to the point that I can feel the kicks and therefore know the baby is alright ❤️

ScotsLamb · 14/07/2017 21:18

I research any daft recommendation I have been given in relation to food, diseases, medication etc which I think might be an issue. I then make a decision based on what I think. If you google anything with "in pregnancy can I have..." followed by the food you will always get someone saying that you can't eat it and that it will do damage. If you are an anxious person you need to minimise that anxiety by finding out what works for you. Reading books and research works for me.
Those that have never heard of effects from Listeria will have heard of the recommendations not to eat Brie, unpasteurised cheese etc. That's down to listeria. Just because you haven't heard of the infection doesn't mean you haven't been actively avoiding it during pregnancy or been told to avoid it during pregnancy.
If you are avoiding the chat then you don't need to announce to everyone in a dramatic way, you just need to stop looking. Mumsnet is for offering support to people who need it from people who can give it. It's not about having a go at worried mum's over their questions.

ScotsLamb · 14/07/2017 21:20

ew1990 you can get sleeping bags which have poppers to alllow arms to be tucked in or out. I think they are normally in with the swaddling stuff.

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 14/07/2017 21:23

@ScotsLamb that's my problem - looking through google 🙈

TheLionQueen1 · 14/07/2017 21:29

Scotslamb no one is having a go at all, but some of us have been on these threads for a really long time and are giving gentle advise to Victoria, because if you read back some of the questions/worries are concerning and must be causing serious anxiety. People are suggesting further help not having a go.

ScotsLamb · 14/07/2017 21:30

As I've a aid before "Debunking the Bump" is a great book to help. Really puts the facts down.

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 14/07/2017 21:34

I'm getting that thanks @ScotsLamb

TheLionQueen1 · 14/07/2017 21:38

Hope all goes well teachervoice, sorry to see you go Sad

Ew I've gone for sleep bags with arms out!

ew1990 · 14/07/2017 21:42

@TheLionQueen1 where did you get yours from?

TheLionQueen1 · 14/07/2017 21:44

So far I've bought two one from mothercare and one from m&s! Someone sent me the below which was really useful as well!

Thank you lion I've screenshot, will buy a couple of different togs then xx

TheLionQueen1 · 14/07/2017 21:46

The sleeping bags are almost at complicated as buying the bloody buggies/travel systems 😂 Its ridiculous how confusing this all is!!

ew1990 · 14/07/2017 21:50

Tell me about it! 😂😂

TheLionQueen1 · 14/07/2017 22:19

Anyone seen these:

thelittlemumtobeco.co.uk/products/blossom-basic-essentials-package

What do you think? Seems a great price for a pre made bag but not sure if I'm just super lazy 😂

ew1990 · 14/07/2017 22:22

@TheLionQueen1 that looks ace!! I want one now

TheLionQueen1 · 14/07/2017 22:25

Ew don't they!! It seems super cheap for the bag and the stuff inside is fab, things glucose tablets and lip balm that I totally wouldn't have thought of!

I think I might get one!!

ew1990 · 14/07/2017 22:48

I've just had a look on their website as would just like a plain black bag but couldn't seem to find one 😔

TheLionQueen1 · 14/07/2017 23:03

There only seems to be two doesn't there, both with different things in. My only thing would be whether I could fit anything else in as need to get my clothes, baby clothes, snacks and iPad etc in as well so lots of stuff! Need a suitcase at this rate Grin

ew1990 · 14/07/2017 23:15

I know I was trying to thing about hospital bag and thinking I'd need a suitcase 😂 I work in a hospital and know how cramped the wards can get x

MSH2010 · 15/07/2017 07:38

This is the list I found yesterday that I'm going to use to start packing. Got told at my 28wk scan yesterday that I've only got 9wks maximum to go!!
