Oops time for a new thread. Hope you all find it okay Grin

@lydiangel83 I'm nearly 26 weeks, it was probably 20ish weeks when it improved because I remember I first felt baby move at 18 weeks and I was sleeping in the spare room because I was so fidgety and frustrated that night so it was after 18 weeks!

Yeah, I know you're both right. I guess it's difficult getting used to not knowing what's going on!

Why do you think the percentile isn't plotted like the others?

lydiangel83 · 23/06/2017 18:27

Isn't it strange that even the reports are different? We had private scan because %s didn't make sense even though sonographer said all was normal. We started asking questions and didn't like the answers that came out of Google. Everything was fine thank goodness, but I don't like not understanding what's going on!

Teachervoice · 23/06/2017 18:33

You'd have thought they would be uniform, wouldn't you.

I'm more frustrated that we didn't notice so we could ask while we were still there. I legitimately don't know what to do next because having another scan seems pointless when what I want to know is whether it is a concern when this measurement isn't in line with how far along I am, as suggested by Dr Google.

It is true that not many women seem to have this measurement at all, which leads me to believe that it's not overly important/ critical but I would like confirmation of that. Will have to check with midwife I suppose.

Squigglefish · 23/06/2017 18:47

My report has no percentile chart at all, just a list of measurement and a list of things which say "normal". I've deliberately not looked into the measurements. Maybe ask your midwife to ease your worry?

lydiangel83 · 23/06/2017 19:21

@Teachervoice yes ask your midwife. I did this and she wouldn't comment on it as said she wasn't qualified to, but maybe yours will be different

Teachervoice · 23/06/2017 19:29

A friend of mine actually managed to find some additional information, which says that it is not measured all across the country because it's not easy to measure or a reliable marker for foetal development. Feeling fine about it now and won't have to bother the poor midwife!

mrsjkerry · 23/06/2017 20:48

@lydiangel83 which bit did you think wasn't quite right? As one of my measurements was at the lower end of the spectrum but was told "all fine".

lydiangel83 · 23/06/2017 22:10

@mrsjkerry head circumference was 20% and femur was 10% which we weren't happy with but what @Teachervoice said makes sense and if I'd known that or had some reassurance from midwife / hospital then we wouldn't have bothered with private scan. But they wouldn't discuss it with us.

mrsjkerry · 23/06/2017 22:12

You can see one that's obviously out. Whatever that's a measurement of! No idea if I should be worried...

lydiangel83 · 23/06/2017 22:24

@mrsjkerry no idea I'm afraid :( looks like it's a ratio of two other measurements. We had a different set of measures!

lydiangel83 · 23/06/2017 22:28

For what it's worth here is mine. Bear in mind that the measurements changed when we had them done a second time. I wouldn't mind if someone had just told us they were likely to be inaccurate.

I'd say overall @mrsjkerry probably nothing to worry about but do what you need to to get peace of mind xx

mrsjkerry · 23/06/2017 22:52

Ah so you had a percentage. My husband won't let us do anything really, as his opinion is if the doctors have said it's all fine then trust them!

ew1990 · 23/06/2017 23:43

I'm really struggling to get comfy in bed, my stomach feels like it's so stretched, like I've got a stitch but worse 😢 xx

Bubbasmama2017 · 24/06/2017 08:30

@ew1990 I know how you feel I haven't slept a full night for weeks. I sleep a lot better on my back and always roll over in the night but I know we're not meant to so always wake up feeling very anxious I've done something to the baby. Got a huge pillow behind me and in between knees but nothing seems to help.

mrsjkerry · 24/06/2017 09:23

I got one of these.
http://www.theraline.co.uk/nursingpillows-original-theraline.htm

It's so comfy. Then I put a pillow down my other side and I'm supported all night. Since I've started using it I've slept better.

I bought one of these too:https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00LJR51AW/ref=mpssa112?ie=UTF8&qid=1498292567&sr=8-2-spons&pi=ACSX2366SY340QL65&keywords=maternity+pillow&psc=1 but it was not very comfortable.

lydiangel83 · 24/06/2017 10:27

I'm also really not sleeping so will look at your pillow recommendations thanks

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 24/06/2017 12:31

Just had a McDonald's quarter pounder cooked fresh! Got home and it was cold so shoved it in the microwave for 30 seconds! Can never be too safe!

Bubbasmama2017 · 24/06/2017 13:31

@mrsjkerry yes that's what I've got its soooooo big but not keeping me comfy. I think it's still useful for when I sit up in bed or sometimes use it to be propped up on the sofa when I'm too tired to keep myself upright!

mrsjkerry · 24/06/2017 16:13

It is a bit too flat and the material reminds me of hospital bedding...

ValentineFizz · 24/06/2017 18:15

Hi ladies, had our 20 week scan this week and all is well, deliberately did not want to know the sex as really want a surprise!

Here is my what feels like my massive bump at 20+2, I have put on half a stone in total but only on my stomach and had no real movements to speak of but it clearly has loads of padding in there!! Grin

lydiangel83 · 24/06/2017 18:33

That's a great bump @ValentineFizz :) good you've only put weight on on your tummy, I feel like I've expanded all over!

Teachervoice · 24/06/2017 20:05

Lovely bump!

ValentineFizz · 24/06/2017 20:24

Thank you very much @lydia and @Teacher - I'm just scared it's going to be a massive baby! Shock

Teachervoice · 24/06/2017 21:02

It won't be! There's lots going on in there other than baby Smile

TheLionQueen1 · 24/06/2017 21:12

I'm huge Valentine and people think I'm much further along then I am and say he's going to be huge, going to be really embarrassing if I have a teeny tiny baby now 😂😂
