Congrats newshoes!! Hope you get to go home soon xx

mammabear4 · 07/05/2017 19:51

@meadowlark3 - I didn't hear back from the job - cue an entire weekend of stressing! I'm hoping to hear tomorrow and if not I'm ringing them!

@CharlieWeasley I'm 5+2 today. I've been same as you - worrying as my previous symptoms have disappeared and definitely not feeling pregnant at the moment. I still have these cramps on and off too 😞 I also took a CBD and was 3+ and currently very happy with that (when I had my MC earlier in the year which was a blighted ovum never went beyond 1-2) see attached whoop! Lots of googling later I can only see this is a very positive sign. Our hormones are progressing as they should be and so our babbas should be absolutely fine. Easier said than done but try not to stress. I know what you mean about it being emotionally exhausting - it feels so far away getting any real answers! If these cramps continue I'm going to ring midwives and see if I can get an early scan poss try to wait til 7 weeks 😬
Hugs and positivity to all xx

mammabear4 · 07/05/2017 19:52

Oops didn't even attach although I suppose you all know what a 3+ CBD looks like 😂

That's good to know @mammabear. My first MC was a blighted ovum, and although I've never used a CBD before with either MC, I was thinking that if it was blighted ovum again it probably wouldn't have progressed to 3+. Fx your cramps ease off x

I'm feeling so worried, I have a pain in my left pelvic area. Sort of a the top of my leg. It feels like a period/ muscle pain. Im 12 weeks and have my scan Tuesday. Has anyone else had a similar pain?

Miami81 · 07/05/2017 22:15

Oh sock. Please try not to worry, I don't have any experience I just wanted to offer a hand hold.
Random pains and cramps are normal as far as I know. It must be very stressful getting to a couple of days away from the 12 wk scan. I have downloaded a mindfulness app - it may be worthwhile trying something like that?
Ring your mw in the morning and explain how stressed out you are by the pains and hopefully she will put your mind at ease.

theotherendofthesockportal · 07/05/2017 22:39

@Miami81 thank you. I appreciate your support. Please can you tell me which app you are using? I think I need it! The pain has stopped now and Dr Google tells me it's likely to be round ligament pain. When I get to the hospital on Tuesday I'm going to tell them I need some extra help with my anxiety

Sweetyboo · 07/05/2017 23:17

Im 5+6 & early scan on the wed due to 3 m/c in the past. Boobs are sore, feel sick every morning but dont do sick, going toilet alot. Feel thirsty & hungry ALL DAY. Very bloated & weird belly feeling, keep getting weird period alike pain in los belly with back & leg pain comes & goes. I hope this time nothing goes wrong coz i will LOSS it

AmyB1986 · 07/05/2017 23:17

@theotherendofthesockportal I've had these pains. They were a combination of round ligament pain and wind. It could be really painful at times

Sweetyboo · 07/05/2017 23:19

@theotherendofthesockportal im feeling that pain too likea period pain & leg pain mix comes & goes. Worrying me sick

Miami81 · 08/05/2017 04:09

Sock
App is called MindtheBump.
I think that's a really good idea to mention to your hcp that you are struggling with the anxiety. Remember you are most definitely now on the great side of the stats, there is no reason at all to assume that anything is wrong. You had a scan a couple of weeks ago didn't you? Everything I have read suggests that good scan at 8/9 weeks with hb and good measurements has almost exact odds of 12 wk. I hope you have managed for sleep.
I am awake with early pregnancy insomnia....... Confused

GingerHanna · 08/05/2017 05:20

Sock sounds very similar to what I've been hetting - freaked me out a couple of weeks back and now I know it to be trapped wind!

Hope yours is much the same.

lightgreenglass · 08/05/2017 08:31

sock I had really sharp pain above my leg/pelvis and it was/is an ovarian cyst which are really common and do not harm the baby.

Sweetyboo · 08/05/2017 08:32

@Miami81 it asks ur postcode is it safe to feed ur info??

mammabear4 · 08/05/2017 08:57

Just went to the toilet and had loads of browny watery discharge 😩 after all my positivity yesterday feels like such a punch in the gut. I'm terrified it's happening again 😞😞😞

theotherendofthesockportal · 08/05/2017 09:06

Hi ladies, thank you to all of you for your replies. The pain has stopped now, but I can feel it starting up on the other side, it must be my muscles stretching. I'm going to mention it at the hospital tomorrow.

Thank you @Miami81 for the link to the app. I will download it.

Yes, I did have a scan a few weeks ago, and I'm putting my positive thinking hat on and I'm telling myself I'm going to see how the baby has grown tomorrow.

I have an annoying tickley cough today which I can't take anything for. Pregnancy isn't fun at all!

How are you today ladies? I hope you are all going to have a nice day

meadowlark3 · 08/05/2017 09:34

@sock It definitely sounds like round ligament pain, from what I've heard of it. Have you tried hot water and honey for the cough? Please let us know how you get on tomorrow.

@mamma Sorry about the discharge...I am trying to remember that just because something happened in my miscarriage doesn't mean it will happen again this pregnancy. Have you had any interview news yet? Sending you a handhold and positive thoughts.

@miami Thanks for the link...looks fab. @sweety I reckon you can put in a false postcode if you're not comfortable providing your own?

Having my scan this afternoon, thankfully no bleeding or spotting yet but a bit of cramping/pulling on my sides. Period would have been due on Sat so I reckon this is normal but can't help but feel anxious. I was 5+2 for first miscarriage, now only 4+3. Not sure what we will see today but hopeful it's not ectopic or an empty womb. Prepared for the worst but will be chuffed if anything better. DH is feeling quite positive and I'm hopeful he's right!

Hope you all have a positive Monday Star Star Star

oliversmummy26 · 08/05/2017 10:05

Congratulations Ineed lovely news and really hope you get to go home soon!

Say I have this most afternoons/early evenings. I feel loads of movement in the morning when I'm waking up and lots when I'm watching TV in the evening or as I'm trying to fall asleep, but much less during the day, particularly if I've been busy. When you're busy you're less likely to notice movements, but it is probably also down to the fact that you moving about is rocking the baby to sleep, so he's just sleeping! Try not to worry, and if you haven't had much movement, then find some time to lie down and still on your left side and give it a couple of hours to see what happens.

SayItIsntSo1 · 08/05/2017 10:52

Thanks Haz and Olivers. I have felt him moving this morning whilst sat in my Monday meeting. It really does reassure me so I'm hoping my down days will lessen as time goes by. I'm starting to worry how my anxiety might pass on to baby. I have a friend who was anxious with her first after a MC and her dd is a fairly high strung kid, but I think her anxiety continued once baby was here. Maybe I can override the extra cortisol by being more chilled out once bubs arrives Confused

mamma I hope it's nothing. Do you have any early scans booked?

Good luck today Meadow. How come you're having such an early scan?

mammabear4 · 08/05/2017 11:33

Hi ladies. Been to the docs this morning and have a blood test then hopefully a scan tomorrow afternoon. Feeling extremely anxious very hard to keep positive, absolutely bawled my eyes out at the doctors which is NOT like me!

knorrig · 08/05/2017 11:58

Hi All, not been on properly in a couple of days so need to catch up properly!!

Re pains and aches and cramps - I had lots at different stages and I turned to doctor google each time and all seemed to be normal part of pregnancy. I woke up at around 20 weeks which a sharp stitch like pain in my side which really worried me but that went when I switched sides I was sleeping! Another time it went when I passed wind (sorry tmi!!!!) Everybody seems to get the pains in different places too as it's all linked to where the baby is lying.

Re bleeding, I'm lucky enough not to have had any with this pregnancy but there have been many on here who did and now have their lovely babies + my sister (no history of mc's) had it at 20 and 21 weeks and was fine and has her lovely baby now.

Re movement, I don't think I started feeling regular movement until 25 weeks + but my advice on this if you are worried is call the midwife/hospital. I had a panic 2 weeks ago at 31 weeks and googled (can't help myself) and the advice was to call and go in rather than wait to see if it got better the next day - they told me to come in and monitored me (he'd started wriggling in the waiting room and then wriggled lots more when on the monitor) they never made me feel like I was being silly or paranoid and told me to go back if any other problems. I was so glad for the reassurance and happy to say he's been wriggling lots ever since - not like kicks anymore as he has less room to manoeuvre!

I hope some of that helps. I totally get how hard it is in the early stages as I still get anxious now (33 weeks) I really envied people who haven't had an mc and just sail through pregnancy without a worry. Some say not to google symptoms (which I generally agree with with non pregnancy illnesses) but it's always helped me as usually most of the odd and worrying symptoms are normal in pregnancy - I had random nosebleeds and that's normal apparently + went from going to the loo lots to being able to go (laculose helped)

Sorry, I'll stop rambling now!!!

MonkeyPoozzled76 · 08/05/2017 17:42

Hi ladies....I've been lurking again on the new thread, trying not to temp fate, but looks like l'm in need of a hand hold.

I've had very few symptoms all along this time hence my trepidation and edging very close the point of my previous MMC at 10+3, baby measured at 10 weeks.

I'm currently 9+1 (9+5 acording to early scan). I've had a big red bleed today and all bloating and boob pain has vanished. Supposed to be having a Harmony test a week today but GP has managed to get me into EPU for a scan tomorrow. I'm so scared. I had a good scan at 6+2/6+6 and saw the heart beat.

I know nobody can tell me what'll happen but I just don't think I can cope with this all over again, I want to run away and pretend it's not happening. Bleeding seems to have stopped and no cramps so far but I just don't feel right about this. Fast forward to 13.30 tomorrow please.

knorrig · 08/05/2017 17:52

Hand hold here for you monkey - hope the time goes quickly to tomorrow and everything is okay...such a daunting time not to know Flowers

WLMcI · 08/05/2017 18:26

Monkey I'm sorry it's so distressing, and holding your hand Flowers. I know it's no good telling you to not worry, but whatever happens, you know you will survive it and that you have lots of support here. Hoping for positive news for you tomorrow! X

I'm 6+4 today and the time could not go any slower! Once I reach 7 weeks I'm going to book the reassurance scan for week 8. I'm telling myself I just need to hang in there until Thursday, then until next Thursday, then the next... This pregnancy is so different from the last, many different symptoms/symptoms coming on at different times. Trying not to read into that too much, but it is slightly reassuring to be nauseous if I don't eat and constipated when I do eat lol!

grainmum · 08/05/2017 18:31

Oh monkey hand holding from here too, try to get an early night and hoping for good news for you tomorrow. The worry is as exhausting as anything xx
