I'm too hot 😩

I'm glad it's not just me who feels like my nausea is being made worse by the heat. All I want to do is lie down in a dark room with a fan on!! I'm just so tired and sicky feeling :( 7+6 today and midwife appointment Thursday. I'll be pleased to get past tues/weds though as that's the point I had a proper bleed last time! Fingers crossed!!

beanhunter · 19/06/2017 08:10

Also feel horrendously sick (and tired) and only 5 weeks. Have been a crappy mum to my daughter this weekend and basically done nothing with her and left her with daddy. Trying to see the nausea as positive as I had it with DD and not really with my mc. Seeing gp later - life complicated as moving areas at 9ish weeks.

Presh1234 · 19/06/2017 08:43

I want/need to join this thread!! ERPC last Thursday and now wanting to "get back on it"! Didn't bleed after it for two days and now have like a normal period. Anyone know when we can try again? Have a follow up on 5 July but that seems ages away and want to start before then!!

peachgreen · 19/06/2017 10:05

@Presh1234 Welcome to the thread! You're more than welcome here but you might find the TTC after miscarriage thread more useful - most of us here started out there, and then moved over here once we got pregnant. :) www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2955113-Were-ovulating-again-so-lets-jump-our-men-Its-TTC-after-miscarriage-thread-11

In answer to your question, sometimes doctors recommend you wait a cycle after a miscarriage / ERPC etc to start trying but this is mostly for dating purposes (so they can date your pregnancy accurately) - there's nothing physically stopping you trying straight away. I believe you should wait until the bleeding stops to reduce the risk of infection. I tracked my ovulation after my ERPC so that I would know when I ovulated if I did get pregnant (I didn't - it took 7 months).

I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope you get your sticky bean soon Flowers

How did everyone do in the heat today?

Does anyone on here do a really active job? I work 9/10 hours a day, 5 days a week with an hours lunch break. I'm literally on my feet from start to finish. I worry it'll affect my pregnancy Sad but in fairness at this point I feel like anything would paranoid.

Its hard because I don't want to tell everyone, but I also don't want to be stacking chairs/tables etc. I've tried the 'bad back' excuse but I work with a total bad back whinger & it cuts no ice!

Hazandduck · 19/06/2017 19:54

Yellow I was the same with superstitions, it's so silly but I had this pair of shoes. They are the comfiest shoes ever, and I was wearing them the day I miscarried. I bled so heavily it ran in to my shoes. They were the only item of clothing the hospital didn't just throw away! I washed them when I got home and amazingly the blood came out, but the first time I wore them this pregnancy absolutely scared the life out of me.
I think pregnancy after miscarriage is one of the hardest things a woman has to go through, and yet it is hardly spoken about. There is an absurd stiff-upper-lip attitude towards it that just makes it all so much harder! I say if there is anything that will make you more anxious, such as lifting chairs etc, then avoid it. Just use whatever excuse you like. Could you speak to a line manager privately and explain? X

NoParticularPattern · 19/06/2017 20:04

Oh god it's so hot. I think I'm melting!!

I get you on the superstition front. Tomorrow will be the exact same point in the pregnancy that I started to bleed so I'm absolutely ramping up the knicker checking. I panicked yesterday when I saw blood in my pants, but it turns out that it was (god I'm so sorry but TMI) from the back rather than the front due to slightly inappropriate underwear chafing and a very VERY hot day! I cannot even describe the feeling of absolute horror when I sat on the loo and looked down.

Anyway I'm off to see if I can find the fan that I'm sure we have somewhere in this house. You'd think I'd know exactly where everything is since there's only two of us in here, but apparently that just makes it easier to lose stuff!!!

Hazandduck · 19/06/2017 20:47

Pattern I did that too, mine was from excessive wiping I cut myself, saw blood, and convinced myself it was all over! The next time I went to the loo I was actually shaking so much I could hardly lock the door because I was so certain there would be blood. I'm 19 weeks today and it is the first day I have left the house without a pad on. I feel like this is a big step towards being normal lol. My OH said he is very proud of me for doing it 🙈😂
I am so happy right now. Had a massive sweet potato with lentil/veggie chilli for tea (meat free Monday time) and have taken a blanket and a book up the top of the garden to watch the sunset with my cat while OH is doing invoices in his study poor thing. It's so lovely and peaceful up here :) feels like I'm on holiday. I am moaning about the heat but really it is having to work in it that's the bloody problem!

peachgreen · 19/06/2017 22:19

The one plus side of feeling this sick is that it's taking up basically 100% of my mental energy so I've hardly been worried at all. I have the occasional bout of paranoia and start googling but in general I'm so busy puking / retching / trying not to puke that it's all I can think about!

Presh1234 · 20/06/2017 04:15

Quick question. After ERPC last Thursday, I was in antibiotics and anti inflammatories for five days (finish today). I want to start TTC again. My question is, can I start taking my Pregnacare now? Before I actually begin to try again. Thanks

peachgreen · 20/06/2017 08:16

Presh Yes, they're just vitamins, they won't do you any harm. They do a good pre-conception vitamin too.

Hazandduck · 20/06/2017 08:18

Presh I think as pregnacare is just a multi-vitamin then you can take it whenever. Sorry for your loss and good luck. I know everyone is different but be gentle to yourself and let yourself process what has happened. xx

beanhunter · 20/06/2017 08:22

Having a panic this morning. Feel less sick than yesterday and really crappy like period pains. Knicker check has intensified. Didn't think I'd be wishing to be vomiting. Yesterday I was pleased as I wasn't this sick when I mc but was with dd. Now I'm stressed again.

SayItIsntSo1 · 20/06/2017 08:44

@AnUtterIdiot good luck for your scan today. I hope it goes well.

peachgreen · 20/06/2017 12:37

@beanhunter I have brief periods every so often where my MS calms down (I'm in one right now and it's lovely!) But it always comes back! It's totally normal for symptoms to come and go, especially MS which can be triggered or controlled by things we don't even realise are doing it.

Sweetyboo · 20/06/2017 13:36

I just bought a fetal doppler. Mid wife gives me app after like 4-5 week away & with my brown discharge & pain hearing the heartbeat will give me peace of mind in between. Cant wait to use it with my son he still do not believe me that i have baby in my belly he asks everyday is it true. Do any1 know how many time a day or week its recommended to use?

CONGRATS @AnUtterIdiot

Sweetyboo · 20/06/2017 15:46

Ladies Not happy brown blood coming again. Is it normal? Sud i be worrying?

Sweetyboo · 20/06/2017 15:58

Midwife said not to worry

WLMcI · 20/06/2017 16:10

UtterIdiot that's fantastic news! Congrats :)

beanhunter my MS came on for a few days, then gave me a day off, etc. It also went away entirely before 10 weeks, and my baby is grand, so please don't worry! The hormones fluctuate, your digestion has cycles, and it all changes frequently so the symptoms will come and go (as scary as that is).

Suddenly I am full of energy these last 3 days! After being absolutely exhausted most of the time, it's a relief to have the motivation to actually get things done. Spent Saturday doing a top-to-bottom clean of the house, and today outside cleaning the yard and pressure-washing with my in-laws (I know, I know, it's like I'm on holiday or something Grin)

yellow I told my work early as I stand all day and there is the occasional bit of lifting. You can choose to just tell your line manager and they can keep it confidential, and I would strongly advise it in your case! They can then find ways to work around that stuff without making it obvious, if possible, to everyone else. My colleagues were so amazingly supportive with my miscarriage that I actually told all of them after my good 8 week scan.

yellowfrontdoor · 20/06/2017 18:52

Congrats anutteridiot, great news about your scan.

I have told management & a couple of my colleagues, it's just very very difficult NOT to do it. (At the risk of outing myself I work in a childcare setting).

I have a follow up scan tomorrow for dating, couldn't date accurately last time. Starting to get so bloody nervous, even though I'd say my symptoms are stronger than last time? I'm thinking positively but not getting my hopes up.

beanhunter · 20/06/2017 18:56

Utteridiot - that's amazing news! Are they identicals?
I've not told work yet - other than one person unofficially so she can look out for me/cover if I feel crap. I'm actually leaving my current job in 3 weeks and starting new job in September. Thankfully as both NHS I'll get mat pay.

SayItIsntSo1 · 20/06/2017 19:00

Lovely news @AnUtterIdiot! Really pleased for you.

@Sweetyboo I would say if you're worried then get it checked again. I can understand why you're worried and no one should make you feel daft for asking for reassurance.

26+1 here now but think I'm the size of 30wks+ Confused. Seeing the midwife next week so will be interested to see how I'm measuring, probably bang on. Also starting to think about what kind of birth I want and am becoming less certain a suck it and see VD may not be the best option for me. Consultant has already mentioned they would be open to induce early, but even being induced doesn't appeal.
