folks - thought it was time for a new thread with a new title for all those whose LO are out! i thnk we shoud be aiming for a meet up in May / June?? - what do you reckon?

No it's cool WO, just wondered if there was still anybody meeting at central station ?
it's actually easier for me to meet you at queen street and get the bus with you,i.e if that's what you're doing anyway

Hey!

Aware that you guys are probably all at the meet-up or travelling to it. I'm not coming today, I've had 5 hours sleep in the last 3 days because of Charlotte being a madam and me doing exams in Bristol. I'm completely worn out!

Hope you all have a lovely time, and I'll definitley be at the next one. LW x

Had such a lovely time today! Was lovely to see WO & GMM again and to meet everyone else, and such a fabulous venue as well.

As an added bonus, driving to and from Glasgow meant L got 2 hours sleep today and just went to bed with barely a whimper - hallelujah!

LW, hope you get some more sleep and are feeling better soon.

LW - we were wondering what had happened to you! Hope the exams went OK, must be a nightmare trying to study when you have a baby! Hope you get some more sleep tonight.

Bumble - was nice to meet you, sorry we didn't get a chance to have much of a chat.

Tallulah - I forgot to mention my absolute foolproof sleep trick when my DS was much smaller. If you stroke from the forehead down their nose it makes babies shut their eyes and used to always make my DS go to sleep if he was tired.

Was lovely to see you all today.

hello i have been reading mumsnet for a few weeks ago but thought i should start posting too and joining in. i am just over 19 weeks pregnant and for most of the time my nickname was ironic but feeling a bit more 'fab' as time goes on am enjoying learning so much from this site

Was lovely meet up today. Nice to see the familiar faces & meet some new folk too, though think I failed to put names, nicknames & faces all in place . Should try to do it bit more regularly - maybe last Wed of each month.

DD dropped off in her sling on way home & stayed asleep for ages & I GOT TO EAT MY TEA - yay, yay, yay. Maybe we should meet up every day!!!!

glad teh pics went through ok - and tallu - you have realied my trick!! better to be on this side of the camera!!

i like teh idea of making it a regular thing - and then we know when it is. it might be easier to arrange that way for whomever can make it?? how does the last wednesday afternoon of the month sound??

bookthief/trixy - i also use the stroking nose trick! even works on dp

c was a bit of a minx tonight. all she wanted to do was eat. its been a while since she was like that and then when she went to bed - she was up again within the hour with wind. again - unheard of. oh please dont let this be a new habit - she has been great at going to bed!!

Can I vote for Thursdays or Fridays since those are the days I won't be at work come Nov?

Went to see those nurseries today btw and they were both really nice so that's sorted.

It did make me feel a little bit wobbly just looking round though so god knows what I'll be like actually dropping him off.

hi ladies, glad you all had a good meet up - tramway's good - any pics?? I'd be into coming along some time, but couldn't do wed/friday afternoons.

we had a great birthday party for dd1 - flat still a bit chaotic and covered in glitter, me a bit shattered. Was running round yesterday morning (trying to bake a cake with ds crying in the sling!!), while dd2 messed up the flat - thinking what the hell am i doing?? but well worth it - they had such fun, - pass parcel / musical statues / crown making and fake tattoos (the best bit )

Great to see everyone and meet bookthief and bumble, even though we didn't get much iof a chat. DS1 looks so seeerious and stern in the pics WO - he's normally such a smiler. Am horrified that I seem to have aged about 150 years in past 7 months. Regular meetup sounds like a great idea. Tuesdays not brilliant for me but flexible apart from that.

Party sounds like glittery chaos but fun Loulee - glad it went well. Am half-dreading the onset of party aged tots but hope I will be getting more sleep by then and be in a better position to bake a cake without fear of meltdown. Will of course be spared the glitter and fairy whatnot, if ds1's ongoing car obsession is anything to go by.
