2happy is your sister isn't she Liath?

She is on my Jan post natal thread

Shame you can't make it this time.

liath · 24/05/2007 18:36

That's right . Haven't managed to convert our other sister to the dubious pleasures of MNing yet......

When 2Happy had ds1 & was asking me for advice she must have thought I was a complete font of knowledge & wisdom - until I confessed that everything I knew about babies was off a website !!

Anjo1 · 25/05/2007 10:49

hey everyone . Thursday at 2 sounds fab !!
WO-about your dd being skinny , I thought that about my ds - he looked like a little skinny chiken LOL !! - well he's 12 weeks old and the last time he was weighed 2 weeks ago he weighed +14 pounds!!
she'll get to that gorgeous buddha stage soon and you'll wish she was skinny again when your arms get sore from holding her
booklet ?? what booklet ..??
so far ,I've wapped out( loving that phrase BTW!!) on a bus ,. cafes and just about everywhere else - was a bit nervous at first , but nothing like a howling wean to sort that out !! oooh getting excited at prospect of seeing all the bubbas xxx

geordiemacminx · 25/05/2007 10:54

trixymalixy · 25/05/2007 11:44

2pm Thurs 1st June, STARBUCKS Princess Square Glasgow

Chooster · 25/05/2007 12:43

Hello! Can I pop back to say hi. I joined for a very brief spell and then disappeared again (nothing to do with you ladies!).

I remember a few of you from before and its great to hear you talking about real babies - it was all bumps last time!.

So, as another introduction... Am 32 wks pg with DS2, from newcastle but lived in London for years before moving up to Edinburgh 3 yrs ago. DS1 has just turned 3...

TALLULAHBELLE · 25/05/2007 13:54

All sounds good. Look forward to seeing everyone and meeting the bubs. My SIL in labour as I type so will be an auntie by time I see you. I'm guesing it's a lot less painful than becoming a mummy

Hi Chooster. Welcome to join us at the Glasgow meet if you can make it.

midnightexpress · 25/05/2007 14:39

hi all - my you've been busy. Am down south at my mum's while builders in our flat, so have had hands full (dp at home supervising the wreckage). But back to Glasgow on Sun, so should be able to make it next thurs to Princes Sq. look forward to meeting you all there.

You'll all be annoyed to hear that the weather down here is geeeorgeous. We've just spent the morning at a kiddy farm place with the grannies. DS1 was in heaven - animals, tractors, tractors that are also slides, sandpits with diggers in, more tractors. He looked like he couldn't quite believe that i'd brought him to a place so wonderful! Queen's Park just won't be the same any more.

See y'all next week.

LieselVentouse · 25/05/2007 15:15

Im here ((((waves)))
sorry that was for Geordie

LieselVentouse · 25/05/2007 15:16

I just read meet up - I can do Thursday 1st as I have day off but 2pm unfortunately clashes with picking up from school. Could come at 1pm if anybody will be there or 4pm if anybody will still be there.

Liesel - I could try and get there a wee bit early but I really couldnt guarentee it.... charlie monster is feeding like a demon at the moment, infact its 7pm and I havent had chance to clean my teeth yet... so it will depend on how quickly I can get into town.

Loulee · 25/05/2007 19:42

Anyone else bringing older kids? I'll be with both of mine, (3.5 and 21 months) so if we can secure a space where we can see the run around bit in the middle, it'd make life much easier - as this is where they'll want to be! They think it's heaven!

I can't remember how old your ds1 is midnght? Is he about the same as my dd2 21 months?

Wont be able to make it before 2 though - nursery and all that..

midnightexpress · 26/05/2007 17:46

Yes, Loulee, I'll be bringing ds1 - he's nearly 19 months and will no doubt be delighted to have company for charging around like a loon. he's got nursery till 1 as well, so we'll probably come straight on from picking him up and be there about 2.

weeonion · 26/05/2007 20:40

i will try and get there as early as i can to commander a good viewing point for the weeones in their charging around!
really looking forward to it!

vio - thanks for your email and i guess it woudl be way too early for you and james to come along and meet your friends?

Hope to be able to make the next one though!

Vio, you, James and Martin are in my thoughts and prayers xx

BexieID · 27/05/2007 00:10

Is it half term next week? I'm in Dumbarton and may pop along on thursday. I have a 13 month old son, Thomas, who i'm still breastfeeding!

I really hope Vio, James and family are ok. I cried reading her posts.

BexieID · 27/05/2007 11:15

hi everyone,
yes, it's 1/2 term next week.
midnight - dd2 will love someone her own size to run around with and dd1 will no doubt try and play mummy with them!!
see you all thurs - how will i recognise you all? actually having said that, I guess I should just look for the group with the most babies - and I've met TallulahBelle, so that's easy!

geordiemacminx · 27/05/2007 21:22

I'm in the process of uploading a pic onto my profile. I have met WO and Anjo before so will recognise them, also I will have a black denium m&p pilko pram if thats any help?

Looking forward to meeting everyone, it will be my first proper day out with Charlie by myself............

midnightexpress · 28/05/2007 09:11

I haven't met anyone, but will perhaps recognise Loulee from yoga? I've got a red Phil and Ted's buggy, a red-headed 18 mo and a probably squawking baby, who'll be in a papoose because he refuses to travel in the buggy .

Loulee · 28/05/2007 18:04

I will be with dd1 (walking, she usually has bunches, both have light brown hair.) and dd2 in brown mclaren buggy - and I'm pregnant, so i guess we're not exactly hard to miss ,

TALLULAHBELLE · 28/05/2007 18:17

Well I'll be 38 weeks pg by then so probably hard to miss . And have met WeeOnion and Loulee so I think it'll be easy to all find each other.

Vio · 28/05/2007 19:43

Hello..lovely to know that you are all planning a meet up...it should be nice to finally meet everybody.

My emotion is like a roller coaster..ups and downs..while i am still trying to accept that its a fact..life is still bitter for James and for those who love him dearly.

Debra put me in touch with a woman whose two babies suffered the same type of disorder ...we spoke on the phone the first time today.....its weird having someone who know exactly how i feel but when we talked about the final days....we both cried on the phone..its very hard living with the fact that your baby is going to go and knowing that the pain will never go away..i know i am a mummy for James and he will always be my sweet little boy but knowing that i will never see him grow and will not get the chance to hear him calling me mummy...my heart just sink...

Dont mean to upset anyone here but i just need to let it out..also i feel the need to raise the awareness of this genetic disorder..for james and for those who suffer from this on a daily basis.
