Congratulations Whatser!!!!! She's a beaut!!!!

N0ne, I am 29, with a lot of medical issues, have a DD (4) have no issues pregnancy and birth.
Had a MC at 12 weeks in Oct'15 and took almost a year to get pregnant again, (no period until Jan 17, then 44-60 days between periods.

I'm now at 22+1 laying in the bath watching my belly go thump thump thump - I think as the other ladies say, think positive "today I am pregnant" really really helps!!!

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 20/01/2017 23:11

jpeg28 · 21/01/2017 07:50

So much to catch up on!

Whatser.... she is beautiful! Congratulations.

Welcome to everyone new... I'm so sorry for all of your losses. I wish you all a happy and healthy 9 months. This thread is an amazing place to share your worries! I think the mantra that everyone has mentioned is great and it definitely helps me, even now!
In terms of cycles, I'm 29 and some of my cycles when ttc were 40+ days! I'm pretty sure the cycle I got pregnant on this time was about 40!

dino hope you're feeling a better and the braxtons have stopped. I've been having a few lately too but only at the front.

Ginger sounds really positive that the bleeding didn't increase. Sounds like it must have been implantation... you have a scan coming up right?

MrsAP I didn't feel any flutters until after 24 weeks! By 14 I didn't have sore boobs either.. I think the middle has almost been the hardest as I had no symptoms, no bump and no movements! Keep telling yourself everything will be ok... you are pregnant today!!

purple I have to wear a pad now... pretty sure it's wee!! How delightful! I'm going to check with MW next week. If you're worried go get it checked. Or like bec said... give it a sniff!

cucumber how are you?? Was the scan internal? That could have caused the cramping? I've had two gushes in this pregnancy and all good... I know that doesn't help but it could all be ok. Thinking of you.

Nasch how are you?? Its good you went in and phoned back. If they were worried they would call you in. Hope you can get some rest this weekend.

I had to go into the maternity triage this week because of reduced movements. I hate making a fuss! So glad I did, all is fine and as soon as I got home he started kicking away! My OH was so worried as I hadn't felt him all day... naughty baby!

Sorry if I have missed anyone out! Shouldn't have left it so long to check through this thread... it moves so fast!!

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 21/01/2017 07:52

Whatser congratulations lovely, you did it! ! She's just gorgeous. I hope you've had a very special first night and can get home nice and soon and introduce her to her big sister. I'm so happy for you. Lots of luck for feeding xxx

Naschkatze · 21/01/2017 08:30

Butterfly! How are you? I've been thinking about you. It's so nice to see you're still reading - I hope all is well. Flowers

Thanks for asking JPeg, baby has continued to be more active the last couple of days so I've been reassured. I've also worried about not knowing if I've had waters leaking but I'm quite sure it's other normal fluids Blush scan is on Monday to check on growth so not long to wait. NCT all day today... has anyone done this before?! I'm a bit nervous!

Welcome to everyone new.

Congratulations again Whatser. Beautiful picture. I hope you managed to get some rest last night and have a lovely day of newborn cuddles.

Gingerbreadmam · 21/01/2017 08:38

Thanks jpeg i do hope so.

Scan booked a week monday. In all honesty i barely have any symptoms but im still holding on to a bit of hope. Like someone else said, it's not over till it's over!

Glad your reduced movements were nothing and great that you went in and got checked. The little tinker having you both worried Grin

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 21/01/2017 09:02

Hi Nasch Smile I'm ok thanks, jealous of whatser! I thought I'd pop back and have a hunt for baby news as I know there were a bunch of us due around now. Has anyone heard from tinkly or mac? They must be overdue or have had the babies I think. 39+5 here. In a bid to give the boy his eviction orders I even managed to have sex yesterday which produced 6 hours of painful contractions every few minutes that then petered out completely in the night. Damnit.

Hope you enjoy your NCT day & meet some promising friends. We did NCT with DD and met some lovely folk - 2 of which 5.5 years later are on my list of emergency in labour childcare which shows how well we got on!

Naschkatze · 21/01/2017 09:16

I'm so glad that everything is well for you Butterfly, sounds like it won't be long now! I'm impressed you tried DTD; we haven't in weeks and I can't imagine being that desperate to get baby out at the moment! ShockBlush

That does sound promising - I hope it will be like that. I'm not very good in forced social situations..

Hope everyone has a good Saturday!

doleritedinosaur · 21/01/2017 09:20

Aw whatser congratulations again & I love, love the name.

Aw jpeg they always move loads afterwards but never feel about going. I've not woken up with them today but baby has dropped out of ribs. It was a whole day of them so I'm wondering how far I'll get.

It's good to hear from you butterfly hope baby gets a move on for you.

nasch my friend's did it & used to meet up every Monday when they were all on maternity leave & are still part of a group now. Hope it goes well for you.

Hoping braxtons stay away today, really need to try & stay productive. Also really not sleeping which doesn't help as definitely won't be getting any soon.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

LynseyH · 21/01/2017 09:53

butterfly mac has had her baby! Not heard from tinkly in a really long time. If you scroll back through there is a picture of macs little one x

Thanks everyone! I am so glad we had the night to ourselves, we had a private room so it was lovely. She hasn't slept much - been feeding and pooping a lot! So different to dd1 who was really sleepy and I hadn't realised I needed to try and feed. Hoping for a much more positive outcome this time. I'm still in shock at how quickly it went. I went in on Thursday for reduced movement, I felt 'funny' too. Don't really know how else to describe it. Her heart rate was fine but my bp was creeping higher so the consultant decided to book the induction. We went in at 9am yesterday and I was still only 2cm dilated and Willows head was high - only 3/5ths so they gave me a pessary at 10.30am and said it would need 24 hours. We went for a walk, had lunch in the cafe and then as we came back I started to get contractions. Within an hour they were every three minutes. The midwife thought it was the pessary causing the pain and reluctantly examined me. Low and behold I was 4 cm and they broke my waters. 2 hours later she was out. She had the cord around her neck which I think was why I had reduced movements. So glad I went in to be checked as it was really scary when she didn't breathe straight away.

Popping into say hi to butterfly! And the rest of you lovely ladies ofcourse. I feel all emotional that we are where we are..

30+1 today. Can someone tell me what their movements are like at this stage? I'm feeling more wriggling like hands and feet at the bottom of my belly than kicks. Defo am feeling movement but it feels different.

n0ne · 21/01/2017 10:21

Congrats, whatser!

Doom and sah* - thank you so much. I'm trying not to worry, not least because it's pointless! But I do feel like this pg feels different to the last 2 that didn't work out. Fingers crossed, eh? For everyone!
