ginger as others have said I would contact your GP so they can make a referral for you. I had on and off spotting at 6 weeks and the gp booked me in so I had a scan at 7 weeks, I emphasised my previous 2 MCs and said I was worried because of those. Gp may have white lied and said I was 8 weeks but they were fine with the fact I was only 7 when I got there. They did an internal scan and showed me a heartbeat. I wanted to know either way as soon as possible so it could be managed if baby was gone and I wouldn't have to wait.

Your previous experiences sound dreadful and no wonder you are worried.

My 2 natural mcs started with brown spotting which then went pinkish and I was bleeding heavily by day 3/4.

I hope all is ok and sending you hopefull thoughts.

Gingerbreadmam · 16/01/2017 18:14

Thanks imgona. I just dont think i will be any better off. They will scan me and see nothing then make me wait 2 weeks for a rescan. Im already booked in for a scan in 2 weeks so im not going to be any better off than i am now if that makes sense?

I may ring tomorrow and ask for the blood tests as i guess if they drop i could ask for the erpc?

I am in such a shit position. My mmc i had to have erpc after failed medical management as i never mc'd naturally and then haemorraged from the medical.

My pregnancy after thay was disastorous and an amniotic sheet was mentioned. This can be caused by an erpc. As i have said this pregnancy ended at 27 weeks when my son died in utero and was delivered stillborn. Now i have seen connections between amniotic sheets and inutero death and i just feel like i can't win. Sorry to keep putting a dampener on here but it may help to see why i am a bit stuck about what to so at the moment for the best.

Whatsername17 · 16/01/2017 18:32

Its completely understandable ginger. I think you just have to take one day at a time and go with what the medical professionals suggest. It's completely shit but, hopefully, you might get s9me answers with a blood test.
I've been at the hospital today getting my blood pressure checked as it was high during my midwife appointment. No membrane sweep until next week. Sigh. Although I am having tightening that showed up on the monitor so hoping things get started on their own!

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 16/01/2017 18:50

No need to apologise at all, this is what this group is for surely. Yes we all hope for the positive but it's through the anxiety and the shit that you need people who understand and can empathise.

I understand feeling there is not much point but the blood tests might help? Speak to your gp and see what they can suggest perhaps. I'm crossing all my fingers and toes for you.

LynseyH · 16/01/2017 18:59

For those struggling, I really hope things can calm down and go more smoothly.

whatser! that's so exciting!! Please please keep us informed. I can't believe we have all got to this point now and it's happy news we're waiting for, you so deserve this x

Yes i will certainly ring tomorrow. At least with the blood tests i will know one way or another.

Ooh that sounds very promising about the tightenings i hope things are moving forward for you. Love to see another thread baby. There's already been two in the few weeks ive been on here. Exciting!

Kazzyg88 · 16/01/2017 19:54

Hi everyone I'm 5 weeks pg after mc at 5 weeks in october. Absolutely petrified of every little niggle and ache and pain. I really wanted to enjoy my pregnancy but atm I'm finding it hard to relax x

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 16/01/2017 20:36

Congratulations kazzy, I was/am exactly the same, 11 weeks at the mo and every time my symptoms change or lessen I have a little surge of worry. Those earliest weeks were tough. Now I'm just waiting for my 12wk scan and trying to think positively, though I'm convinced I will have had an mmc and there will be no heartbeart.

So not really succeeding there!

LynseyH · 16/01/2017 22:05

I don't know if this will help at all but with this pregnancy, I had sore boobs for the first time ever in a healthy pregnancy. I have 3 boys (3 yrs, 4 yrs and 11yrs) with those, I never had a single twinge in them. I felt sick and was sick every day with my first. 2nd, I was sick a few times but not regularly. 3rd, only a couple of times. With my 1st mc, I felt ok, really healthy. That was a blighted ovum. 2nd mc, I wasn't sick at all but the exhaustion was overwhelming. I mean I felt like a dead weight on my feet, I thought I'd collapse I was so bad, it was a mmc.
This time, I felt sick (absolute terrible nausea) from around 5 wks. I begged the doctor to help! I was sick 3 times in total in the 1st trimester. That was triggered by brushed teeth or coughing. My boobs hurt but not every day, or all day. Sometimes just showering was painful. I was also exhausted for the 1st few months. It didn't get better til I was well into the 2nd trimester.

The reason I've just gone through this is so you can see how very different pregnancy can be, not just person to person but for each pregnancy. If you feel well, enjoy it. If you feel sick, take it easy. If your boobs don't hurt, then you might be one of the lucky ones who doesn't get it... please please don't read into symptoms too much! I really hope this doesn't come across as patronising or rude. That's not my intention at all.
I wish the very best for you, repeat whatsers mantra- " today I am pregnant".
I hope we keep seeing more good news on here for the coming months, I can imagine even those due to have babies very soon will still lurk to see how your all doing :-)

New shoes you've been right thru the mill!
I wish I had some amazingly great advice for you but apparently your waters can be low if you yourself are dehydrated, perhaps as your throat has been bad you've maybe not been eating and drinking as usual?
Maybe set a 4 litre of water limit a day up until your next scan and see if that makes any difference?
I'm here for you, come and join the FB thread it's much easier to stay in touch as we all get notifications xxxx
Watser sounds promising, fingers crossed x

Ginger it ain't over til it's over so please don't lose all hope just yet, like jpeg said she had bleeds and she's now 3rd trimester!
I'm thinking of you xx

Hello to the newbies and welcome xxx

LynseyH · 16/01/2017 22:08

I really need to add, I know absolutely nothing will take away the anxiety of pregnancy after mc. I'm not trying to play that down as I know the feeling all to well. My only advice is to keep talking, let it out, be crazy, be calm, do what you need to do.

MoonlightMojitos · 16/01/2017 22:13

Oh newshoes so sorry you've got this now too. Take it easy and like bec said try and drink lots. There's a girl in my due dates thread who lost water last week (she stood and felt it come out) and they've advised that it can usually be topped up by drinking lots yourself and she's being monitored too. Must be really worrying but hope you're taking it easy and ok. And it's good they've picked it up so can keep an eye on it xx

MoonlightMojitos · 16/01/2017 22:16

And welcome kazzy and congrats! We all know how you feel. I had a mc in July and am now 21 weeks and everything going well. I've been so anxious at every symptom, lack of symptoms, twinge, cramps etc and it's just crap that mc takes away all the excitement especially in the first few months but fx for you. This is a new pregnancy so try and stay positive! All these ladies are lovely and it's so great having people at all stages for advice on what's to come :)

XxBecxX · 16/01/2017 22:34

On a slightly different note new shoes, there's no way that you could have lupus?
I remembered a lady I knew once told me she had a lump in her neck, lymph nodes i believe and she said it was because of her lupus.
Lupus is also associated with low amniotic fluid in pregnancy, she never had a child herself, she was allowed too, the doc said it was fine, he wanted her to have at least 8 -12 months without any attacks before she tried but she decided against having a family as she was already close to 40 and didn't feel he had time to wait, so she booked herself a cruise lol
It's an auto immune condition i think but I'm not 100%, not life threatening or anything scary so don't worry, there's probably more associated symptoms, wonder if you googled you could see if any ring any bells?
It's only just come to me and I thought I'd mention it rather than not, xxxxxx

INeedNewShoes · 16/01/2017 22:52

Thanks for the support Smile

Bec - I'm fairly sure I don't have lupus. I've got another autoimmune disease (colitis) which was thoroughly investigated at diagnosis and monitored so I would imagine lupus would have been identified then if I had it. I'll bear it in mind though. My swollen glands are likely due to this cold/sore throat I've been fighting for days.

I saw my GP this afternoon who took a throat swab and am having a load of blood tests tomorrow to try and rule out some of the viruses that could have an impact on the amniotic fluid so hopefully I'll have a clearer picture in a few days' time. In the meantime GP decided we ought to be proactive so she prescribed antibiotics in case the sore throat is a bacterial infection.

The positive thing in all this is that I feel well looked after by both my GP and the antenatal team at the hospital.

Whatsername17 · 17/01/2017 06:44

I need it is great that they have it all so under control. Whilst I was at the MAU getting my blood pressure checked there was a lady who was being monitored for low amniotic fluid and she was almost at due date having been monitored since her 20 week scan. Stay positive and take care of yourself Flowers

Gingerbreadmam · 17/01/2017 08:38

Thanks.

Well ive been up two hours, had the dog on a short walk and drove into work. Nothing on pantyliner so far. Feel nauseous too. Who knows.

doleritedinosaur · 17/01/2017 09:17

Morning everyone. Nausea has come back with a vengeance & on swimming day. Trying to eat but I feel so sick.

ineed that's really good they're taking care of you, hope your results come quickly so you can find out what's going on.

ginger those early weeks can be very trying, hope there's no bleeding for you today.

Hope everyone else is doing okay. Sorry if I've missed anyone, scrolling on my phone is making me feel sicker & bump is going mad.

XxBecxX · 17/01/2017 10:07

That's good new shoes!
Remember to do the water drinking my lovely xx

Ginge that's very positive!

Oh Dino poor you xxx

oliversmummy26 · 17/01/2017 11:04

No more brown spotting again for me so far today, doing a little experiment and didn't dtd last night, will try tonight and see if anything happens tomorrow then I'll be certain that's what it is.

Nausea is a bitch today! I ordered some sea sickness bands yesterday though which arrived this morning and (fingers crossed) seem to be helping a bit..so we'll see Smile

Gingerbreadmam · 17/01/2017 11:13

Thats good oliver i think you're going to find that it is the dtd ha.

Yup still nothing here so that is good but i know im not out of the woods. Countdown to scan now ha. Not going to bother with docs etc.

oliversmummy26 · 17/01/2017 12:12

Ginger that's definitely good news that you've had no more bleeding, I'm feeling very positive for you. Will your scan be next week? Is that when you're 8 weeks? Keeping everything crossed for you x

Gingerbreadmam · 17/01/2017 12:35

My scan is monday 30th. Luckily at 7.15am so least its over and out the way. Also same day as booking appointment.

INeedNewShoes · 17/01/2017 13:24

Ginger and Oliversmummy - I'm glad that things are looking more promising for you both today. The waiting in those early weeks is so very trying!

Thank you everyone here for your support Smile Whatser - it really has helped to hear of someone who has made it to term despite low amniotic fluid.

I am feeling calmer about it all today and the baby is quite active as though he/she is trying to prove to me that they aren't bothered by the insufficient fluid levels!

I'm doing the only thing I can do - drinking plenty (I'm actually making a list of what I drink because I'm not very good at remembering to drink in the first place or remembering what I have drunk). Its nice to feel as though there is something I can do to help the situation Smile

I hope that everyone's Tuesday is going smoothly Smile

Dolerite - I hope the nausea has buggered off by now. Eating little and often is the only thing I've found helpful at all, but I know you're probably already doing that!

Whatsername17 · 17/01/2017 13:58

Tightening came to nothing so still waiting. Dh is driving me crazy because he keeps texting me asking if anything has happenedHmm. As if I wouldn't tell him! This little girl is clearly on her own schedule! Grin My mother is coming over in a bit - she will bring her own set of crazy!!
