Thanks. I spoke to epu and the lady this time was lovely. They cant scan until 8 weeks. Im 6+1 if that. She said she sees a lot of people with bleeds who have healthy pregnancies but tbh with my lack of symptoms i cant see it.

She did make me book in for a scan at 8 weeks (optimistic) so i did but doubt i will be going.

Just hoping if this is an mc it is a straight forward 'like a heavy period' one as psychologically im not sure im upto the other.

Whatsername17 · 15/01/2017 19:29

Ginger is it worth contacting your gp for blood tests? I hope it is just implantation Flowers

jpeg28 · 15/01/2017 19:37

ginger I really really hope everything will be ok. Like whatser said could you get some bloods done to see if hcg is rising? Like I said before, I bled a lot in this pregnancy and was even told once on the phone by a nurse that I was miscarrying and to take codeine... and now I'm nearly 27 weeks. Really hope it's implantation and you get to see your little bean on the scan in a few weeks.

Haven't caught up on the rest of the posts yet... hope all ok... newshoes sorry to hear you're feeling unwell and the lump sounds painful! I'm glad you have seen someone and that the baby is ok.

We left the in laws nice and early this morning and I've spent the afternoon with my parents. My nan has been in hospital and has just gone into a respite care place. She is 91 and when I went to see her today she looked so frail and has deteriorated so much. Was very sad and my mum is so worried about her. I hate people getting old!

LynseyH · 15/01/2017 19:48

ginger I can't believe they won't scan you at 6 weeks, that's terribly unfair. I hope this is just a blip and you'll see that gorgeous little bean on screen soon. Keep talking, we're all here.
jpeg try not to dwell on your nan looking frail, just concentrate on the time you spend with her, tell her about your baby and give her something to focus on, I believe it helps xx
newshoes so glad they are testing you as it must be awful having a sore throat for so long. One day is enough for anyone usually! Let's hope they are speedy with the results.
whatser you're still around which means no movement yet. Will you get jogging on those stairs please!! Need another picture to put along the gorgeous little Isla ❤

I really dont want work to know about the pregnancy so i could do without lots of appointments tbh plus i dont think it would help me out at all if it proved i was mc would it? Unless it meant i could be booked in for op?

I'm just a bit stressed about the mc happening at work but i dont want to be sat at home waiting for it to happen because i know i could have a long wait.

Fingers crossed.

fuzzywuzzy · 15/01/2017 20:11

Ineed i think baby will go quiet when your unwell hope the scan puts your mind at rest.

Ginger that's really upsetting the EPAU's around me start scanning from 6weeks, i have everything crossed for you, keep the 8 week scan appt. Try and take things really easy for now.

Gingerbreadmam · 15/01/2017 20:21

Thanks fuzzy.

Yeah i just do officr work so nothing strenuous planned. Will see how i get on. If i start with cramps i will come home.

purpleviolet1 · 15/01/2017 20:50

Ginger so sorry to hear you are having a tough time. I don't know how I got through the uncertainty, looking back.. will be thinking about you. Do whatever you have to do to get through this time, whether that be go to work but come straight home if feeling uneasy. Xx

I need new shoes, that's terrible about your neck! Hope you feel better soon. Glad they are scanning you tomorrow. Hopefully all ok and it's just a precaution and a chance to see bubs again.

Gingerbreadmam · 15/01/2017 21:14

Thanks purple

It may not be quite as bad as i think. Had a panty liner on all day and would say it is only half soaked. I know thats not great but it certainly hasnt got any worse yet.

Gingerbreadmam · 15/01/2017 21:15

Soaked isnt the right word. It wasn't soaked. I would say stained. Sorry tmi i know.

Whatsername17 · 15/01/2017 22:18

Very much still here unfortunately. My house is so clean. I literally have one load of washing and the dishwasher to empty tomorrow. I wish I could just enjoy the time off but I get so bored. I can't focus on reading or Netflix. I feel far too fat and uncomfortable to do anything energetic but will probably take myself off to the shops before begging the midwife to do a sweep! I might scrub the grout on the kitchen floor....

MoonlightMojitos · 16/01/2017 08:22

Sorry the curry didn't work whatser!!!

ginger hope everything is OK for you today. It must be awful just having to get on with it and go to work with them saying you have to wait weeks for a scan. Are you still going to ring the drs? For what is worth I know someone who has massive bleeds with both pregnancies for no reason and now has 2 gorgeous babies. Hoping for you it's nothing to worry about and just take it easy x

My DP felt the baby kick for the first time last night! 😍😍. Baby was going mad in there when we were in bed so I put his hand on and he felt a really strong kick! Freaked him out a bit he gasped and pulled his hand away and then got all emotional and was holding back the tears bless him!!

newshoes that sounds awful bless you but glad they're checking it out. Good luck with the scan, what time is it? Will you get the blood results quickly?

I'm the same with the very over enthusiastic family and dreading the first few weeks after baby arrives. I've said to dp I want no visitors at all the first few days whilst we settle in and try and establish breastfeeding etc which he's on board with but I know it'll cause a few arguments with our families. I think my family will listen and just bitch about it behind my back but I'm convinced dp's will turn up anyway despite what we say and kick off when we don't let them in. Here's hoping everyone's family's listen and don't cause any trouble!

Gingerbreadmam · 16/01/2017 09:16

Oh heck whatser i would definitely get begging!

Im still here. Had a few back pains last night so decided to stay off after all but i actually feel ok. Strangely feel a bit nauseous too but tbh i think it"s all psychological. Just hopeing if it's going to happen it happens today and isn't too painful or gory.

I'm going to make an appointment to see the doctor next week about recurrent mc. If this is another one i want all the drugs next time and will be trying again asap so need to get the ball in motion.

Baby sounds very active how lovely your dp felt. I bet it is all feeling a bit more real for him now Grin

jpeg28 · 16/01/2017 10:21

Thinking of you ginger... hope everything will be ok for you.

moonlight my DP felt the baby for the first time too this weekend!! I'm 27 weeks tomorrow so it's taken a long time! He freaked out and said it feels like an alien!!

Whatsername17 · 16/01/2017 10:50

Had a couple of hours of mild contractions coming every 15 minutes on the middle of the night, then they stopped. Very frustrating. Any news from Carrick and baby Cooper? Hoping they are home now and on the mend.

cucumbershed · 16/01/2017 11:25

De lurking to say I've got my fingers crossed for you ginger.
Hope everything goes well for you whatser!
As for me I'm sitting in the hospital EPU waiting area after having some bleeding at the weekend. Sigh.

oliversmummy26 · 16/01/2017 11:35

Oh ginger got everything crossed for you...have you called the gp today? Here we have to get GP referral to EPU, so might be worth pushing with that and GP might be able to get you further with EPU? I can't believe they won't scan you at 6 weeks. I know it's horrible to think about, but if it is a mc, I think you mentioned you want to get it over as quickly as possible and they could get you in for an op? Rather than waiting it out until 8 weeks..? THinking of you?

Whatser I know exactly what you're goign through with MIL. Had my DS with another partner, but his mother was a complete nightmare, didn't help that she was a MW too, so always knew best and was telling me off for all sorts of things. I was in hospital for about 4 days before DS was born (Induction and then emergency section) at about midnight on the 3rd day one of the midwives came in and said "your MIL has been on the phone asking for information and updates, we can't tell her anything due to confidentiality but wanted to let you know") I couldnt' believe it! I'll be the same when baby born as you and will need my DM to look after DS while having baby and will want DH to get DS to meet his new brother of sister first, just the 4 of us, but I know it's going to be a battle!

Feeling better today, no more brown snotty bleeding over the weekend so that's a relief and have felt pretty rotten almost constantly all day every day. Haven't been sick yet, but feel so nauseous, feel closest I have yet to being sick today, but still nothing. Having said that, boobs have stopped hurting, though I think they're still bigger and have been having some mild cramps, which feel like stretching, so nothing too sinister... 6+6 today

Gingerbreadmam · 16/01/2017 12:06

Thanks everyone.

I dont think theres much point. If i go and they see something i would have to wait two weeks for a rescan to confirm before the op so i am probably best holding out and seeing what happens.

I havent took and aspirin today and nothings got worse so it may ease off. Definitely looking more brown today.

INeedNewShoes · 16/01/2017 12:11

My scan has shown that I've got slightly low amniotic fluid. Does anyone have any experience of this in the second trimester? I'm 23 weeks. They've booked me for another scan next week. Sad

oliversmummy26 · 16/01/2017 14:38

Just been to the loo and had brown stringy blood in discharge again (sorry!) but realised that we had sex last night, and when I had the same on Friday afternoon we'd had sex on Thursday night...so I'm guessing we're just hitting my cervix a little hard and that's what's causing it?

I'm not too concerned as it's definitely brown and having the sex link makes me feel better, but wondered if it could be something to do with having baby aspirin and thinning my blood too??

Will mention it to the midwife when I see her next wednesday, but feel sick as a dog today, so not that worried just yet..also, what will be will be etc!

Gingerbreadmam · 16/01/2017 14:43

Oh oliver are you taking baby aspirin too?

Ive not took one today and bleeding seems to be tailing off.

We have not been dtd as after my first mmc the mw said to me in my next pregnancy 'oh you mc's so you wont be having sex until 3 months' which put me off and now i wont. Mw i spoke to yesterday asked about dtd and i said no and told her why and she said oh yes.

fuzzywuzzy · 16/01/2017 15:03

Ineed my friend has low amniotic fluid she has a healthy baby boy now. She had extra appts to keep an eye on it.

Has your doctor spoken to you about what they want to do about the low amniotic fluid?

INeedNewShoes · 16/01/2017 15:13

Thanks fuzzy - after my last post on here the antenatal consultant organised for me to see a specialist consultant on Saturday who will do a thorough scan of the placenta, blood flow etc.

They've basically said that I'll be closely monitored from now on. At the moment it is only a bit under what it should be so hopefully that will remain the case. The scary thing is that they basically said that at this early stage there will be nothing they can do if the scan on Saturday shows that it has reduced further.

I know this could be very serious if it worsens but equally if it stays as it is might not be too problematic so for the moment I'm trying to stay calm about it (and failing miserably!).

oliversmummy26 · 16/01/2017 15:43

That's interesting ginger no one told me we couldn't dtd once we got a bfp again..I will definitely ask the MW next week and let you know what she says...I'm not sure I'll stop the baby aspirin just yet, as I do think it's only when we dtd that it happens, and I only get the brown spotting (not even really that, it's literally just a little string when I wipe about 24 hours after having dtd and only ever brown)

I did mention to DH just now and bless him, he offered to abstain, but I think we probably just need to be a bit more gentle Blush and keep an eye on it for a while. It's nothing like when my mc started, that was pink/red right from the beginning and never brown...

Gingerbreadmam · 16/01/2017 16:08

In all my googling saturday i think i came across something to do with aspirin weakening the blood vessels in the cervix and if you are a bit rough it can cause spotting i think you're right

When i had my mmc i think general.guidelines are that dtd cant cause mc but it is odd that my mw said that. She could have been old school though.
