Thanks for the welcome - I do feel much more positive today and it really is reassuring to know that symptoms come and go. Fingers (including nails, what's left of them) crossed for everyone. And at least it's a lovely sunny day....

Okay, so only had my BFP since yesterday, and already I'm complaining to DH - all day feeling very bloated and full, don't like anything tight on my lower abdomen, and getting the odd stabbing pain in my side. I think that I had this the first time around, but not sure when, must a bit am a little worried. Has anyone else exprienced similar symptons?

Daisybump · 15/04/2007 20:51

Hi Furrymummy....I hads period like cramps all through the start of my pg, so try not to worry.....according to all I've heard and read its pretty natural as your ligaments start to stretch under the influence of relaxin and your growing uterus pushes things aside......I didn't notice it at all with my first pg or either of my MCs, but really noticed it with this pg and worried myself silly.....just mention it to the doc when you see him

Furrymummy · 15/04/2007 21:40

Thanks for the reassurance, Daisybump, just feeling a bit paranoid! I'm going to ring the Midwife next week for a booking in appointment, last time I fell pg, rang GPs who said that I needed to see Midwife to book in at around 8 weeks. Going to push for an early scan because I am under a great deal of stress at work (in fact will be seeing counsellor on Wednesday morning).

Daisybump · 16/04/2007 09:22

Good luck with your mw Furrymummy.....is there an EPAU attached to your hospital....if so you could probably self refer due to your previous mc....

pinkranger · 16/04/2007 09:33

hi ladies, havent been on this thread for ages, beeen staying away a bit as i have my 22 week scan on friday and i just want it all to be o.k ( im sure it will) but you know how we now worry about everything possible -

Welcome to the newbies and wishing you sticky vibes,
Furrymummy , i had cramps on and off with this preg from day 1 all the way up until week 15 ish , still get lots of aches and pains now aswell, so these are normal, probley had them with my first but as i had never had a) misscarrge b) internet!! didnt think anything of them, sometimes to much information can be scary for us!

Well i cant belive that i am nearly 22 weeks, never thought i would get here again, just wishing for friday to hurry up ( scan at 8.4o - thank god) and then i ll be wishing for august!!

Hope that you are all well xxxxxxxx

hotchoc · 16/04/2007 10:01

can i join you? had m/c at the end of Feb and got a BFP on Friday, still in shock, in a good way of course.

furrymummy, i've been having lots of aches and stabbing feelings too, you are not alone, presume they are normal then!!!!

no idea how many weeks i am since i have not had a period since the m/c, need to see the doc soon i suppose. i feel quite paranoid about everything at the moment and keep getting upset about what could go wrong again, need to keep positive though....

Daisybump · 16/04/2007 10:27

Congrats and welcome Hotchoc.....not sure whether the niggles are usual for everybody or whether having had MCs we're all just that bit more aware and on edge about what's happening with our bodies. As I've said before, I didn't notice anything like this with my DS, nor either of my MCs. the first because I jut wasn't expecting it, and the second cos I ddn't think it would happen again. This time around I felt every twinge possible. Hang in there and stay positive....

hi PinkRanger...long time no hear....good luck for the scan, I'm sure all will be well. Have you been feeling any movements yet? It's funny hearing how far along everyone is getting, when you look back to the quivering bunch we were back in the early days....Enjoy the next bit as things definately get easier over the next couple of months...

ejt1764 · 16/04/2007 10:54

Welcome Fingernails, Furry and hotchoc ... hopefully your stay on here will be long and uneventful!

I've had all sorts of twinges and pains this time around, but I don't know whether I'm reading more into them as I've had the previous mcs.

Feel free to rant, whinge, question, cry - I've told people on here things that I haven't said to dh - the reason being that we have all gone through the same thing.

Mumpbump · 16/04/2007 12:32

Just popping in to say hello to everyone! What a gorgeous day it is today! Good news - the mw picked up a heartbeat at my appointment on Thursday so all is well in our household!! Plus I think I am starting to feel the movements a bit more which is reassuring.

Must do some work, but will be back later to catch up on what has been happening and post properly...

Mumpbump · 16/04/2007 12:33

Sorry - welcome and congratulations to those who have joined in the last week or so!!

gemmamc · 16/04/2007 13:21

that's great news Mumpbumb!

Jossiejump · 16/04/2007 13:40

Hi Hotchoc-
I'm in the same boat as you as had m/c on 17th Feb-then fell pg next cycle, am now 8 weeks pg, they took the m/c date as LMP, had a scan at 6 weeks which verifeied these dates, am now waiting, terrified for my next scan next week . (had 2 x DS then 3 m/c, the furthest I got along was 10 weeks, but the baby had died at 8, so 9 weeks will be a bit of a landmark.
Best wishes

Daisybump · 16/04/2007 13:44

Furrymummy · 16/04/2007 20:18

Thanks, ladies, relief to know what I'm experiencing is normal! I do feel pregnant actually, which is cool, keep grinning lots

fettleandminifettle · 16/04/2007 20:39

Hi Furry and Hotchoc - welcome!! As everyone else has said, I too had really bad AF-life twinges over the 1st 12 weeks. I really think it is because we are so much more conscious of every twinge due to our history.

Take care and remember that we are all here for on on bad days - we've all had loads of those. I'm still not 100% positive at 16 weeks. I don't think I will be until i've got my little baby in my arms - I so can't wait.

Had a sudden urge in a meeting [it was a pretty dull meeting!!] this afternoon of how excited I am about having a baby again. I know that sounds odd as we have been TTC no 2 for 2 years and had 2 mcs in that time, but I don't think I've actually relaxed enough to think too far in the future until today.

anyway, take care all
xxx

Mumpbump · 17/04/2007 10:53

Morning all... Feeling very tired and a bit down today as we had some bad news about my mum's health over the weekend and it's just beginning to sink in. Appreciating someone's mortality really makes you appreciate the importance of having children and leaving a legacy. Anyway, don't want to put a downer on the thread so will keep this short, but I just wanted to let you know so that if I don't post for a while, you know it is nothing to do with the baby.

Daisybump · 17/04/2007 11:05

((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) to you Mumpbump ...my mum was diagnosed with lung cancer last February and has gotten progressively iller since then, so I know how you feel. Wish there was something I could say to make you feel better....

Thinking of you Mumpbump

PurpleLostPrincess · 17/04/2007 23:58

Mumpbump, hugs to you (((((((hugs)))))))))

Hello to all the new additions of late, hope everything goes well for you and hope you find this thread as reassuring as I did/do!

Have been spending time with SIL's baby just lately and have found that I'm now allowing myself to get excited about this baby which I wouldn't let myself do before. I'm still a bit apprehensive but feeling much more positive! Have been feeling the baby move around lots today, can't wait for the 20 week scan in a few weeks time!!!

Might not be around this week as I've been really tired from going back to work. I've already had a few nights of broken sleep and fell asleep early tonight so I'm up now, grrrr!! Hoping to get back into a routine soon!

Take care all xxx
