Not much but it's there when I wipe and it's red. This has happened a few times, at around the time of implantation & then at weeks 5 and 6. Never much but there nevertheless. Mild cramps too. I've got a bad feeling this time

I'm glad you have a date now. Look after yourself and let others look after you too Flowers

phoebe2016 · 19/10/2016 21:08

Hi Glass, so glad you have a date sorted out so soon. Hope everything goes well and you can take some time out to recover, both mentally and physically. Will be thinking of you. Take care

LHReturns · 20/10/2016 15:04

Glass how are you doing today? Are you feeling ok about tomorrow? I know you must be suffering so much inside. I assure you the procedure itself is very low key - please don't be scared at all.

Greenglassteacup · 20/10/2016 18:00

Hello LH BrewCake

I'm feeling relieved to have made it through my working week. It has been very hard to pretend everything's alright. I'm feeling a bit frightened about going under with the general anasthetic. The op is at school pick up time so my partner will have to collect our daughter & give her some dinner. He'll drop me off at the hospital before he goes to the school & he'll pick me up later, when I'm ready to go. I don't want my daughter to know I'm in hospital. I don't want to tell anyone else what's happening. I feel sad and have felt angry too. I will burn my maternity notes & the empty scan pictures in the wood burner.

Do you think there will be much pain and bleeding afterwards?

Love and thanks to all of you xxx

Hi 'Green' - all your feelings are so natural. You want this so far behind you as fast as possible.

My procedure led to minimal spotting for maybe a week? No tampons of course as cervix is open - so have to use towels. Truly I had minimal cramping and what I would call light light bleeding and then spotting. Hardly any cramps that I can recall.

Physically it was minor. I have undergone IVF recently and ALL of these procedures have been more painful than the ERPC.

Big hugs for you tomorrow. By the weekend this will be behind you and sounds like some big glasses of good wine are in order.

ringroads · 20/10/2016 18:12

Hi green, sorry this has happened, such a crappy situation. I had a similar thing happen back in july. I am also the blood group that needs anti D but I was told that a miscarriage under 12 weeks Did not need an anti D? Ill be pretty pissed off if this isnt the case and that if i go on to have another pregnancy my baby would now be at risk?

Greenglassteacup · 20/10/2016 18:17

I didn't think I'd need to have the anti d eother as I'll only be 8 weeks and 5 days tomorrow. The hospital 'phoned me today to confirm that I have to go for the anti d the day after the op

I had a lot of bleeding and contractions after. I hope you don't but Id grab some thick towels in case. Seconding the wine, I had a couple of glasses of red that evening.

I'm sorry green, it's truly shit Flowers

Emz32 · 20/10/2016 18:36

I felt the same as you do Green. I pretended to be ok over Christmas (it had just happened) & I shredded my notes & scan photos. I also said I didn't want to try again. Give yourself time to heal both physically & emotionally. I preferred being put under, I went off to sleep & when I woke it was all sorted & I felt much better. Just do what feels right for you.

Greenglassteacup · 20/10/2016 18:38

Flowers for all of you, you're all so kind

FannyCabbage · 20/10/2016 18:43

Green, I'm so sorry. I hope you have some support and that you take some time to grieve. Be kind to yourself. Love xxx

Hahaha! I'm glad :) It was that or c*ntcabbage Grin

LuchiMangsho · 20/10/2016 19:12

I bled very very little afterwards. Three or four days maybe. No pain at all. The barest bit of cramp the next day. They recommend you don't have a bath for a few days. I was worried about the GA but it was over so quickly. I later looked at the discharge notes and I was under for less than 20 minutes. Will be thinking of you.
PS. I thought I would burn my maternity notes but I didn't in the end. I think I needed a reminder that the pregnancy was real and it had happened. I've kept it hidden somewhere that no one knows about.

Greenglassteacup · 20/10/2016 19:22

I didn't know about the no baths thing, I love a bath before bed but I can make do with showers for a few days. I feel a bit scared about how I'll feel after the procedure tomorrow, it's all been about making sure I get the pregnancy removed as soon as possible and I just don't know what happens after that

No practical advice to offer but I just wanted to let you know I will be thinking about you tomorrow. You've been so brave xx

Greenglassteacup · 20/10/2016 20:35

Thank you for all that you have said, I couldn't have managed without all of the support I've had from everyone here. I wish I could give you all a big hug

All the best for tomorrow Green, will be thinking of you. Make sure you rest up afterwards. Nothing more important than your health, be it mental or physical. Flowers

somethingfromnothing · 20/10/2016 22:43

I hope it goes as well as it can tomorrow. I had mine on Monday, I was second on the theatre list and whilst I was waiting my feet were really cold! So maybe take some cosy socks. I was so worried about it but really there was nothing to worry about at all.

Greenglassteacup · 21/10/2016 06:01

Thanks. Haven't slept much xx
