Not much but it's there when I wipe and it's red. This has happened a few times, at around the time of implantation & then at weeks 5 and 6. Never much but there nevertheless. Mild cramps too. I've got a bad feeling this time

So sorry to read this Greenglass. I had the same thing and the natural miscarriage just didn't start so had to go in for erpc. I also still had pregnancy symptoms, swollen breasts, nausea etc. It took weeks after that for the hormone levels to drop enough for it all the disapear. You will get there, unfortunately it doesn't happen overnight.

McBaby · 18/10/2016 13:22

Sorry glass it's horrible. I had a miscarriage in July I thought I was 10 weeks but the baby hadn't grown since 4 weeks. It's so frustrating that your body doesn't deal with it at the time.

Greenglassteacup · 18/10/2016 16:08

How soon did they do the procedure phoebe? I just can't carry on like this. Am considering paying to have d&c at spire hospital but it's 2.5k

Greenglass, thinking about you so much today. I'm so sorry.

Teakind · 18/10/2016 16:19

So so sorry to hear your news. Have they offered you medical management? I did that after finding out I'd miscarried 2 weeks before but I was just spotting. Life can be so cruel sometimes.

Greenglassteacup · 18/10/2016 16:33

I'm not even spotting anymore. Have been wearing an enormous sanitary pad at work in case it happens. I'm a mess, I need it taken out, I can't bear it. I have an nhs appt on friday where they have to scan me again & then talk anout options. It is taking too long

I totally understand as I felt the same way. Is there a different EPU you could call? I went to a different one for my second miscarriage and they were a lot better.

I hope this can be resolved quickly for you!

Greenglassteacup · 18/10/2016 16:56

Woiluld i need to be conscious during the procedure?

Has anyone had the pills instead of d&c?

Greenglass, I had a private ERPC (D&C) after a miscarriage at 7.5 weeks. It was under general anaesthetic, very quick, painless and for me was an excellent decision. Like you I did not want to wait for any other process. I was glad i did it that way.

Teakind · 18/10/2016 17:12

Yes I had the tablets. It wasn't pleasant obviously but they worked very quickly and I was in the privacy of my own home. I had tramadol for the pain and it was manageable.

loztredders · 18/10/2016 17:25

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I've had the tablets before as nothing was happening for me at 13 weeks despite baby having stopped developing at 6 weeks.

It took a few hours for them to start working and then the worst was over with in a couple hours after that. I think if it happened again I'd have chosen the surgical option as I found the tablet option quite painful personally.

So sorry you're having to go through this

Emz32 · 18/10/2016 17:33

I had a missed miscarriage diagnosed at 8.5 weeks just before Christmas & felt the same as you Green. I'm so sorry you are going through this. I had an ERPC under a general on NHS. It was quick & painless. I then ended up with retained products & had the tablets which didn't work & were painful. They wouldn't do another erpc under general only under local so I went privately. Wish I'd done it in the first place as they found a fibroid that the egg had implanted to therefore nothing worked. Mr Adrian Lower sorted it & was great. Cannot recommend enough. NHS were really poor for me but I think I was in the minority with my complications. Hope you get the support & help you need.

Greenglassteacup · 18/10/2016 17:46

Thank you all so much for you help and support. Flowers

Is 2.5 k an average price for private d&c under general? As I have no private health care cover I would be self funding. Would I need a referral from GP or something? Could this all happen quickly?

OP posts:
Greenglassteacup · 18/10/2016 17:47

Or could my private screening centre make a referral?

OP posts:
Greenglassteacup · 18/10/2016 17:47

The centre who did the scan for me

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I felt the same with my mmc and wanted everything gone. Days were torture. I has the d and c it was the quickest option I found though the contractions after and extreme bleeding I didn't expect.

Go and see your gp and get signed off from work unless you prefer the distraction. Your gp will sign you off as long as you need.

ParForTheCourses · 18/10/2016 17:52

Your gp may also fast track you and call the hospital if you explain how you feel. Mine did.

LHReturns · 18/10/2016 17:58

Green, I cannot recall the precise process but my ERPC was done the day after I decided I wanted it. That price seems ok - I am in central London so cost me a bit more. My GP referred me to my gynaecologist who kindly did it quickly for me.

Emz32 · 18/10/2016 17:59

I think £2.5k is usual. I think that's about what we paid (may have been about £2,800) we were self funded. I just called Mr Lowers office made a next day appointment & rocked up. Explained what id been through & got booked in for the following week (6 day wait). Appointments & scans were extra money though. Couple of hundred pounds every time we went (went a couple of times after to check everything was healing & gone).

Greenglassteacup · 18/10/2016 18:07

I' m on a temporary contract with a new employer so don't feel like I can go off sick or tell them what's going on

OP posts:
Greenglassteacup · 18/10/2016 18:10

Emz that sort of wait sounds too much like the nhs, I want it done before next week. Epu mentioned pills or d&c with local at some point next week. I don't want either & I don't want to wait, I'm going mad thinking about it

OP posts:
Greenglassteacup · 18/10/2016 18:17

I will also beed an anti d injection sue to my blood group, who would do that?

OP posts:
Greenglassteacup · 18/10/2016 18:17

Due not sue

I don't have much advice to offer really. Like you I miscarried at 8 weeks but my body dealt with it so I can not offer anything practical. I just wanted to say how deeply, deeply sorry I am, and you are in my thoughts. All my love.
