Spotting, cramping, "is my clearblue digi accurate?",* viability scans, measuring behind, measuring ahead, high hcg, low hcg, morning sickness, lack of morning sickness, anomaly scans....

That's right, folks, it's the place where scanxiety really means something, where the feeling like you're always going to be on the wrong side of statistics nevers go away, and where moments of sheer terror are par for the course ...it's pregnancy after infertility.

Join if you want to hang out with a supportive group of women across all different stages of pregnancy who can't believe they got here and are hoping like hell its all going to be ok.

On phone so can't really scroll back but custard everything crossed that its just a random bleed and that baby custard is OK.

Afm, had a consultant appointment this morning to discuss measuring cervix at 16 weeks as I've had a colposcopy. Managed to convince them to do it but now having to wait at sexual health clinic for swabs as apparently that's the protocol here?! Already waited 2 hours to see consultant and now another 2 hours for this....! I've literally run out of things to Google

AgainstTheOddsNo2 · 22/12/2016 13:28

I hope all is ok Custard.

I am sure all will become clear for me in the next few days. Even if I am then I realise this is just the start of pretty consistent worrying forever!

Custardandcream · 22/12/2016 17:56

Blueroses sorry to hear you were stressing yourself out over it, hopefully they will decided to do the stitch. Good idea to put it out of your mind for now, hopefully Christmas will be a good distraction for us all!

Chocolate hope you were eventually seen and that everything is ok

Against hopefully things will be clearer for you in a few days, will you re test or have a blood test?

Thanks for good luck messages, everything is fine the ultrasound showed a bleed but it has not affected the sac at all. I'm amazed at the difference since Monday, it now looks human and has grown another 3mm.

Chocolateandwineplease27 · 22/12/2016 18:05

Fantastic news Custard especially pre Christmas xxx

Pebbles086 · 22/12/2016 18:09

Oh custard I am so sorry to see this. I do hope it's not the worst. Thinking of you x

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/12/2016 18:30

Boris. Sorry to hear babyboris had an Infection.

Hedgehog fab you heard heartbeat.

Pebble nothing you say or do with jinx. Tho understand why you feel like that

Custard sorry to bear bleeding. Thinking of you / seems some do bleed lots but as scan proves all good with baby

Blue. That's the length of my cervix due to cone biopsy and I get checked every 3w. They are happy with measurements so 3.5 is ok

Chocolate same as me. See above

All good there. 26w today and felt first proper kick as have low placenta so six said may take a while tho have had bubbles and flutterings

Blueroses99 · 23/12/2016 09:34

Custard glad to hear that everything is ok! They do grow very quickly at this stage, even though they are still tiny.

Chocolate how did you get on yesterday?

Blondes must be lovely to feel movement! I know that 3.5 is fantastic at 26 weeks, and is good now at 7 weeks - but it went to zero by 21 weeks last time and I have no reason to believe my cervix has suddenly developed super powers and won't do it again!

MPP81 · 23/12/2016 11:40

Fantastic news Custard! So pleased to see everything is ok :-)

Lovely news about the first proper kick, Blondes.

Chocolate, how did the measuring go?

Blueroses, I am sorry they are making you wait so long for a decision on the stitch. That must be horribly frustrating and worrying for you. I'm thinking of you xx

Merry Christmas to everyone else!!

JustTrixie · 23/12/2016 17:00

Aw, thanks Boris, belated congratulations on the birth of your son! I hope he is doing OK now.

Glad all was OK with your scan Custard.

Had my scan today (6+5) and saw a heartbeat, very relieved!!

Merry Christmas everyone Xmas Smile

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 23/12/2016 17:50

Friends I hope all is well with you and your baby.x

Congratulations Stealth - wonderful news about your baby boy!

Boris I hope babyboris is doing well but sorry to read about the infection, and I hope he's all better now.

Congratulations to everyone on the good scan news! It was lovely to read the last page and see everyone's happy news.

Blue sorry they're still messing around with the stitch but am happy to read your plan, and I really hope you can (somewhat) relax for the next few weeks.

No news from me but I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas Xmas Smile

AgainstTheOddsNo2 · 23/12/2016 18:14

So I've done a digital test and it says positive+ how often are they wrong (notes thread title)

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 23/12/2016 21:01

Yay Trixie! Great news that you saw the heartbeat, it's a great feeling.

Also fab that BabyCustard is well Xmas Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/12/2016 07:55

Blue I just don't get why they wouldn't stitch due to your sad previous exp :(

Sammy with twins has a lower measurements then me tho may be twins. But again hospital happy with it

Keep asking consultant for it

Lovely feeling odd kick. Seems to be more obvious lying down in bed so early am or late pm

Had wc jab yesterday. Arm is sore :(

Pebbles086 · 24/12/2016 10:23

custard I am so bloody pleased it wasn't serious! This baby is testing your nerves for sure. Take it very easy this week.
against congratulations on the digi +, Hope it gives you some reassurance.
blue I hope they see sense and sort your stitch out soon. I cannot understand why they are hesitant to do it sooner rather than later.
blondes must be amazing feeling those kicks!

Just want to say to all of you, have a lovely Christmas and take it easy, eating everything in sight!!!
My first Christmas in a long time that I won't be drinking just to feel slightly better...still feels very surreal.

ellesbellesxxx · 24/12/2016 10:38

Just having mammoth catch up on thread..
Custard so relieved to see your update!

Stealth huge congrats! Hope you are cuddled up with your very special Christmas present :)

Blue hope your stitch gets sorted soon

Sammy glad to hear all ok with your twins at the last check

Boris hope baby boris is all better now

Hope everybody else doing ok and welcome to all newbies!

Jenbot78 · 24/12/2016 18:44

Hello all, been catching up with the thread and lots of lovely scan news and hopefully exciting Christmases all round. We had our scan at 19+5, all seemed well although naughty baby wouldn't move so they couldn't manage all the measurements. Walked around, lay on my side and still not quite right! Have to go back in ten days or so to do the rest. I just wanted to check in and say have a lovely relaxing Christmas, hope the angst doesn't get the better of anyone. xx

Wizziwoo · 26/12/2016 21:31

Hope everyone is having a great Christmas albeit painfully sober Grin
Stealth amazing news about your Christmas arrival! Enjoy every minute!!
Blue sorry to hear about the lack of support with the stitch. Hope they will come to their senses soon.
Custard and Trixie lovely news on the kicks and HB, so reassuring.
Jenbot sounds like your baba is nice and chilled there, here's hoping it lasts 😀
AFM 31 weeks now, hard to believe. Currently getting kicked to death by bubs..may need to lay off the tins of roses as surely this child will have
a choc addiction

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/12/2016 07:53

Jenbot. My bubs was the same. At 12w scan and Had to go back 3 times in the end to get all measurements for 20w

Likes to lay on her stomach curled round my stomach head to right feet to left - facing my back

Little pickle !!!

Drinking oj worked for me - unlike caffeine chocolate and walking and star jumps like advised lol

Doing star jumps in disabled loo at 23w was not fun !!!

Tho drinking oj was awful as well as have hg and only drink water as all other liquids come up - so oj returned on the way to hospital - in car park - in reception ..... 😷😷😷😷

But worth it to get heart and facial measurements and find out having 💓💓💓💓

loopylou1984 · 27/12/2016 12:40

Just a quick post to say I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas :). Xx

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 27/12/2016 17:21

Thanks Sammy, you too! I had a very vomit-filled day, but all worth it Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/12/2016 10:07

Hedgehog. Me too. Sad to lose xmas Dinner isn't it :(

Bit of a panic - Couldn't feel bubs Move last night. Went to My local HOSP early am and been monitored and heart beat loud and strong and moving via monitor

Never cried so much. Thought we had lost bubs - she's being a pickle

Saw lovely senior midwife who said come in whenever / they are there for us 24hrs

Almost got told off. She said I should have called them /gone in last night

She said call anytime if preg but even more so if infertility /older /high risk as I am

They will never say we are wasting their time etc

So morel if story ladies is please call mat triage if any worries

loopylou1984 · 28/12/2016 10:26

Sorry you guys list your Christmas dinners. I hung on to mine, but the heartburn has really stepped up a gear now :(.

Blondes I'm glad triage we're so lovely and reassuring. I haven't had very good experiences with mine so far, although that being said I still wouldn't hesitate to call if I was worried.

The run up to Christmas made time pass quickly, but it seems to be at standstill again now. 27+5 today. Next growth scan is Tuesday and then we have our second fetal heart scan on Wednesday at St Thomas in London. I finish work Friday as taking all 2017 annual leave in front of my mat leave! Xx

Smurfy1981 · 28/12/2016 16:29

Afm i am now 34+4wks and finally on maternity leave!! I am exhausted and my hubby doesnt think baby is goin to wait another 5 wks lol-

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 28/12/2016 17:28

Oh Blondes I'm so glad it was all ok! Sorry you lost your Christmas dinner too, such a waste of delicious bread sauce and roast potatoes! I'm off out for dinner tonight, really hoping I don't disgrace myself in the (rather naice) restaurant.

sammy we've got our next scan on Sunday 8th at Guys (not Tommies)! Did you use the ACU there? We had the lovely Mr Khalaf as our consultant, can't recommend him highly enough.
