I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and becoming very impatient to meet my little girl. Anyone else at the same gestation as I am?

Omg congrats fresh! So happy for you!!! Glad all is well - can't believe you've gone from 2cm dilated at your sweep to giving birth this morning! Must be a record!

Enjoy your new LO and rest - after days of on and off contractions you sure have done the hard yards already!!

Is it my turn yet??? 39+2 and feeling achy and crampy today after yesterday's internal (had some bleeding after) - half a cm pffffftt!!!!

Afreshstartplease · 18/10/2016 12:45

I was 39+6 Lillian and I know someone who gave birth the other day from the Oct thread was 39+6 too. I think it's the magic number.

LillianFullStop · 18/10/2016 13:03

if that's the case then this Saturday is the day for me!

Afreshstartplease · 18/10/2016 13:09

Quite a wait still....when's your next sweep is it before then?

I had never had one in previous pregnancies and am amazed how it worked! Mw did say at the time baby was ridiculously low and waters were bulging so think I was already on my way

LillianFullStop · 18/10/2016 13:12

The next one is on Monday at 40+1. Hoping I won't need it!!! I really really don't want an induction though!

Afreshstartplease · 18/10/2016 13:59

Well I have my fingers crossed for you!

LillianFullStop · 18/10/2016 14:14

Thanks fresh! Going to try to relax about it now until the weekend - this half a cm bullshit malarchy has reset my expectations for sure.

Hope we hear word from eggy soon - she sounded like she was well on her way!

Afreshstartplease · 18/10/2016 15:13

Yes I bet she has her baby by now!

The Oct 2016 thread seems to be full and can't see a new one or a Oct Post Natal one unless I'm blind

Kittenrush · 18/10/2016 15:35

Congrats fresh :) well done you! We aren't all horrible jealous I swear xx

Kittenrush · 18/10/2016 15:35

Horribly

LillianFullStop · 18/10/2016 16:21

fresh this is the new thread #7 for Oct antenatal - i don't see a post natal one yet either though.

Afreshstartplease · 18/10/2016 16:28

Ah see only partially blind!

I feel bad for boasting but I waited so long for that bloody pregnancy to be over! I have my body back!

LillianFullStop · 18/10/2016 16:41

You've been through the ringer fresh you deserve it!!!

LillianFullStop · 18/10/2016 18:18

Arrrfhh the cramps have gotten worse. Period pain + fanny daggers = whatever this is that has got me glued to the couch instead of doing what I'm meant to be doing. ConfusedConfused

MyBreadIsEggy · 18/10/2016 19:28

Sooo......I've had a busy day Blush
The Boy made his entrance this afternoon Grin

Afreshstartplease · 18/10/2016 19:30

Yay eggy!

Glad to see a good few of us have made it to the other side by now

Cake for those still waiting

LillianFullStop · 18/10/2016 19:52

Yay eggy congrats! Been watching the thread for your news! Hope you're enjoying your new baby cuddles now Smile

I'm having intense period pain and fanny pain... is it possible to get fanny daggers while reclining on the couch?? normally sitting on the couch makes them stop but not working for me at the moment ... baby kicking up a fuss in there too.

pretty much useless at the moment so waiting for DH to come home and magic up some dinner...

mypropertea · 18/10/2016 19:52

Ladies with more than one pregnancy under there belts... day 2 after pains, should they be as bad as when your about 5cm in labour? Feel like I need gas and air!

Afreshstartplease · 18/10/2016 20:02

Mine are fucking awful already tea I've had to breathe through them like contractions

charliebee87 · 18/10/2016 20:21

38+3 weeks and very ready for DS to make an appearance. Although I still need to make it through the last 3 days of work before I break up for half term and maternity leave. Starting to think working till 39weeks was not the best idea. Come home and just crash out! Lots of twinges during the night

milkshakeandmonstermunch · 18/10/2016 20:49

Had my baby this morning tea. After pains are a bitch. I feel as if they are giving me flashbacks!

mypropertea · 18/10/2016 20:56

That's good to know, I wasn't shore if I had an infection or something. Some are ok and others are far too Labour like. So far mr tea has had a lot of scorn thrown his way as he is partly responsible (oddly, I didn't blame him for the Labour though lol) and has appeased me with tea and cookies.

MyBreadIsEggy · 18/10/2016 21:03

My after pains are pretty tasty this time after having no noticeable ones last time with DD.
They were pretty horrific while DS was at the breast - he fed for a solid hour about one hour after birth, but has been reluctant to feed since, he is just very very sleepy. I've offered him the breast numerous times and encouraged, but I guess he won't feed unless he's hungry. We've been sat skin to skin pretty much since birth and I've offered him the boob lots, but he's obviously decided sleep is more important on his agenda right now! I guess he will feed when he's hungry right??

milkshakeandmonstermunch · 18/10/2016 21:09

Same eggy. DD fed well this morning just after birth then wasn't interested until 12 hours later. She just wants to sleep. Unfortunately she will only sleep on me so I can't sleep Sad.

Afreshstartplease · 18/10/2016 21:15

Ds is on formula, has taken 3 feeds of about 30ml and one of 10ml since arriving at 5am. He's also very very sleepy.
